This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!

ReplyDeleteI purchased the 9" cargo toothpick pant in camo print which I love however I'm just not sure what to pair them with - I know a lot of you also purchased these pants. I'd love to hear how you styled them.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered both pairs to see which I prefer. I like the shirt too but I think it would be too boxy on me.
DeleteI like camo with black or denim. I've seen others wear with bright colors or even pastels to soften the look.
I probably won't be very creative with mine but I tried them with chambray and they look good - also thought about my beige Tippi, grey (darker or light), navy. I have seen them paired with stripes too if you want to do the pattern mixing thing. In the store I tried them with a chambray and the darker grey open cardigan and they looked good.
DeleteI missed out on these since I imposed a shopping ban on myself for the month of August, but I think these have lots of possibilities! Like Suz Has mentioned above, black and denim should work well. I think I would try a burgundy or tan/khaki color. I have a camo mini that I wear in summer, usually with pastels in pink or blue, but that might not work for the fall. Oooh, if you have any type of metallic print or fabric, I might try that. (I pair a gold tank with my camo skiry.)
DeleteLastly, whatever you do, don't pair a bright orange tee like I did last spring, you'll look like a Duck Dynasty extra! 😂
Oh, I also love Anne's idea about stripes above!!
DeleteHi ladies
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at the smoky coral plaid popover but the mediums are gone. I was thinking of trying a medium tall but not sure if it will be weirdly long. I'm not tall (5"6') but don't mind a little bit of a longer shirt. I like to layer with a Tippi and like a little extra length. Do you think this will be too long or could I make it work with my height? Thanks!
Sharing my Labor Day look on Partial to Pink today. Styling the stripe off the shoulder sweater, which is currently under $35.
