Waking up to 40% off on the new arrivals felt a bit like Xmas morning. I tried many of the new arrivals yesterday and I am posting the reviews on my IG (crazyaboutjcrew). All in all I loved the new Collection and it is decently priced.

Forgot to mention: Drake items are included. I bit on the Bengali tigers perfect shirt that was always excluded so far (also, Gucci has a very similar print in the Cruise collection).
ReplyDeleteI really like that top! It's turned out to be very versatile. I ordered Drake too since I've wanted to try the green Bengal pajama top. Ebates is 10% @ J Crew (11% in the app). Speaking of Gucci, NM is having a private sale with 50% off select items (Saks too @ 40% off) & Nordstrom has it on sale in store. Some really good buys, so I decided to bite.

DeleteI ordered Christmas gifts and some sale items that I'll use for vacation and spr/sum. Ordered large leather plaid pouch since it was included in promo; that was my only new arrival. I like the Collection Ratti skirt in diamond print, so it's on my wishlist.

Also grabbed a Stewart plaid shirt since they seem to sell out every year, esp the tall sizes. I'd had my eye on the all day tote but it was $155 yesterday and back up to full price today, boo.

On sale, I got the Ratti flamingo peacock shift, the campbell blazer in pink houndstooth and am considering the matching mini, and the collection french tweed jacket in pink. Also got the bright pink faux fur stole -- not positive about this one, but it could be really cute...
ReplyDeleteLove this 40%! Ordered the pompom cable sweater in ivory, velvet cami in amber, cluster drop earrings, tissue turtleneck in white, tweed lady jacket in sparkly trim. Trying the jacket, not sure if I'll like it because of the three pocket design--kinda weird, but I'd have to see. Also ordered the regent in navy P4, to replace an old one I have in P6.

ReplyDeleteI ordered the Sadie snakeskin flats from the sale section, ruffle silk button up, relaxed wool turtleneck in olive, festive plaid button up, and Marled Italian wool blend turtleneck sweater in oatmeal (this only had xxxs left in small sizes so idk if this one will fit). Kind of hoping something something doesn't work out since I don't really need to be spending more $$$ haha.
Grabbed two sizes of wolfstooth pants and bow top in plaid. Might go take another look but hopefully that is all for me. Surprised to see this promo on line but happy as my store did not have wolfstooth pant in my size and too busy to stick around and order on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI have the wolfstooth pants and found the fit to be like the other PJ style pants/Drakes. I was surprised by how much I like the elastic waistband, very comfortable.

DeleteI tried on both my usual size and one size down for the wolfstooth pants and ended with the smaller size. The elastic waist is sometimes too forgiving and I need more of a control top.

DeleteI ordered the bigger of my two sizes in that pant and though I could have gone smaller, I wanted extra comfy. The fit is loose enough that it doesn't much matter. As noted by PP, the elastic waist is very forgiving, but because the fabric is lightweight it doesn't bunch and bulge over the tummy. As the description explains, sometimes you just want to eat that extra Christmas cookie. Thumbs up on this pant.

ReplyDeleteI ordered two shirts this morning that I have been watching for a few weeks. One is the pajama shirt with tipping. I needed to go up two sizes in this shirt and also the Liberty Sarah print tie neck tuxedo front shirt. It runs super small as well. The liberty shirt has been excluded from every promo until today. Both shirts were included in the promo and they also let me use a $20.00 bounce back card. So both shirts together were less than $100.00. I also had a $50.00 AMEX gift card so it was a good morning. I am trying to stay away from some of the more strictly holiday offerings as I have tons from last year that I hardly wore. I have the red tartan d'orsay shoes that I never even got to wear. Can't wait.

DeleteCaught a few lovely things right after midnight, and then there appeared a mysterious and beautiful striped silk shirt (black & white or perhaps navy & white, couldn't tell). The text said the shirt was from the NÃ P collection. No price, no style number, no sizes, no detailed description, just one picture and a title. It didn't appear on the NÃ P site at all, and as the evening wore on, it vanished from the JC site as well. Was I hallucinating? Has anyone else seen it?

They were definitely moving things and pulling things throughout the day. When I first got up the kids Star Wars shirts were included when I checked later in the day they were excluded. I also noticed a few other things "sold out" that were brand new like the large plaid pouch. I believe the plaid ric rac shoes were pulled overnight as they were no where to be found early this morning. I'm hoping they will replenish things as the week progresses but I have a feeling they are playing inventory games and things that sell well will "sell out" only to be stock again next week when the promo is over. While I did place an order this morning, I'm already regretting not grabbing a couple more things.

Oh well, to make the best of the situation, I used the b'day reward on a Troi Ollivierre Parker lipstick, and the 40% off promo on the Club Collar Black Watch Perfect Shirt & the Regent Topcoat. Can't wait to try the coat and hoping it works out. Trying to be a minimalist shopper (both style & quantity), but we'll see.
