checkout the new BR line, very interesting pieces: black ponte knot dress, gemma window pane wrap dress, the sloan colorblock and the SHOES!!! I so wish the dresses were longer in length :(
ReplyDeleteA note: the BR Monogram silk open back shirt has the same feeling as the JCrew swoop top, the differences: BR's is long sleeved and the back shape is held by a button instead of a tiny thread.
Banana Republic has a short-sleeved black tee with faux leather sleeves (can't find it on the web site). It looks similar to J. Crew's leather sleeve top. I like BR's better.

DeleteHi Gigi, thanks! I saw that and I tried it on when I was at the store. I'm normally a size 10 in dresses. I tried on the 12 and it fit right but was very snug. I felt self-conscious in it so I didn't buy it. It's cut just like ShopWithM says it is, very close to the body. The tee was an easier (and cheaper) option for me.

ReplyDeleteI really love the Tortoise Flower Necklace and do not regret buying the Crew version at all. It goes with everything and the venus flytrap earrings go well with it. Not sure how the knock off will be but for those that missed out on the Crew version it might be worth a try.
DeleteI visited LOFT recently and saw some dresses and sweaters that feel similar in quality to J. Crew's but are much cheaper. With sale time hits, it'll be even more affordable, so I'm playing the waiting game now.

ReplyDeleteHey, all. The diminishing discount has returned to Boden for its fall season, with 20% off between Monday and tomorrow night, with Friday the sale returning to 15% and the weekend hosting 10% off.
ReplyDeleteI don't recommend going for items that are fully stocked during this sale, since often that means the item will get reduced a bit further later in the season. I only say go for those if you know you need it now.
This is the kind of promo that is great for big sellers since this is a universal promo, good for all items in the "regular" section of Boden (clearance items are exempt).

My vendor is different, but I think these people are sourcing the same factory or factories. Also, sometimes vendors will disappear and reappear w/a new name. I've seen that happen on Ebay.
