Congrats to all those in the area!!! :)
Have been to the sample sale in NYC; depending on season it is worth the price (I liked the winter sample sale better than summer).
ReplyDeletetraveling all the way from miami to arden for my first jcrew sample sale. super excited!
ReplyDeletewas going to go but it is going to be really bad weather. Not standing in line for hours in pooring rain :(
ReplyDeleteTry going Sunday. I went back in January on a Sunday and there was no line...or go late Saturday afternoon.
DeleteThunderstroms all day... bummer :(
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for a weekend I can make it to the Arden sale, and this may be it! For anyone who's been before, what will the lines/stock be like on Saturday afternoon? I live in Nashville, so I'm wondering how early I need to leave...
ReplyDeleteI have been on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm and there was virtually non line. It would be wise to get there really, really, really, really early or late in the afternoon. Sunday is a great day to go because there is never a line and it isn't as crowded.
DeleteAnybody know what prices are like?
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew-
DeletePrices really good...I am talking $30-70 dollar shoes, depending on the type. 10-20 pants and jeans, shirts 10-20 dollars. Coats and other outerwear are between $25-70 depending on the type. Do a search on the site for past warehouse sales to get a better idea.
I didn't end up making it this weekend. =(
ReplyDeleteAnyone got any details about how it went?
Someone's probably already mentioned this, but what happened to the jcrew.com sale section? This morning there are only 207 items in the Women's section (and of that only 5 sweaters). Where'd all that languishing merchandise go?
ReplyDeleteAwful lines! Never seen the sale so crowded! People waiting for 5, 6+ hours in pouring rain....
ReplyDeleteAwful sale! Worst sale I have ever been to and I have been doing this for many years. So many ebay people and their teams of people they paid to stand in line and shop the sale (aka push people down for shoes). The shoes were a mess- it was impossible to find a pair. I did not see a lot of current season which I usually do when I go. I arrived on Friday evening at 11 pm and was 130 in line!! All ebay people in front of us, it is so unfair. I dont understand why JCrew allows this. It is very obvious who the JCrew customers are and who the ebay people are. JCrew needs to stop letting them come to the sale.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I'm going to get slack for saying this, it doesn't help from a crowd standpoint when the sales are announced here either since although helping our little community it is also broadcast all over to everyone else. I've overheard more than one person in line saying they found out about the sale from this site and they are not regular readers/members etc. My suggestion is sign up for the emails announcing the sales from the warehouse directly and please stop forwarding information about the sales here. The more people that know about it the worse and worse the lines will be. If someone is serious about wanting to attend a sale it's easy to find out from the warehouse directly and not post it here :)
