J.Crew Email: Ends today: 25% OFF & FREE SHIPPING on orders of $150+

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Irina & Berivan, who shared the following news & email with us.

J.Crew is reminding us that today is the last day to take 25% off *and* free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code STAYWARM.

It looks like this was just the promotion needed to purchase outerwear for the Winter season. A lot of coats in certain shades are already sold out! :)

Will you be taking advantage of the STAYWARM promo? Are you loving the new promotion from J.Crew? Did you pick up an item or two? Please share! :)

  1. Does anyone know if the 20% promo on sweaters is still going on in stores? Debating if it is worth a trip to the local B&M today... Thanks :)

  2. This is such an awesome promo! I picked up the Majesty peacoat in dark peony and the Macalister wedges in Nut. I feel like I couldn't pass them up with such a great discount!

  3. I keep thinking if these are the pre holiday deals imagine what is to come.....

  4. My bright blue double serge pencil skirt is waiting for me on my doorstep... I ordered it with this promo after wanting this color for years. Wish I could have snagged one back in 2008 though. I am wearing my 2009 version of the double serge skirt with its actual waistband (as opposed to a piece of grosgrain ribbon) and appreciate the quality so much... if only we'd have known back then that the quality was going to nosedive.

  6. This may not be the right place to ask this question, but I'm loving the Vintage Tweed Jacket and I won't buy it at the regular price so this sale may be my last chance to pick it up before the holidays. Has anyone tried it on? Anyone have a perspective on whether it would look ok on a short hourglass/pear figure? Thanks!

  7. Erin @ Impatient Gardener,

I tried it on (short, small, hourglass figure), but ended up returning it. I loved it in theory, but in practice, it wasn't amazing. Its quite boxy and the side view is somewhat unflattering. The buttons are a little cheap, but the buttons weren't the deal breaker for me. I thought it would have only worked as a work jacket and couldn't see wearing it with jeans and boots (what I really wanted it for). If it were only slightly longer and more fitted.

Thank you SO MUCH for your thoughts on that jacket. You've just described all my fears about it. I really appreciated the feedback.

  9. Did already enough damage on Monday, so I am done, I think. :D

  10. @ JCrew JD: My Bright Blue No. 2 was waiting for me on my lunch break and it's beautiful. I wouldn't call the color scary bright, just...saturated, maybe. Like it stole all of the blue in the room :) I hadn't planned to buy it, but I wore my Bright Violet No. 2 to work last week and it just felt so fantastic on that I couldn't resist.

  11. Whitney:
YAY! I am even more excited to go home and rip open the package now. Thanks for reporting. I love bright, saturated colors so I think this will be a keeper for me too!

  12. Whitney: is the Bright Blue different than the Nordic Blue from last year?

  13. @ Wendy - Just left my local B&M and the 20% sweater promo has ended.

  14. @ rynetta PhD: I'm honestly not sure - my former job was a lot more casual so I haven't had pencil skirts on the brain until recently. I did check it out on Polyvore and the Nordic Blue definitely looks like an icier blue color in the online image.

  15. The nordic blue is a heathered, less saturated color... hoping they are different enough in person so I can justify keeping the bright blue!

  16. Does anyone have any feedback on the Quoddy Canvas Ring Boots. I am normally an 8 in non-J Crew shoes. Do these run TTS or should I order down a size? Are they comfortable?

    TIA!!!

  17. I finally bit on the Isabel cashmere sweater after reading all the glowing JCA reviews. I got the lavender colour...so pretty, and different from my usual gray, gray and more gray.

  18. Thanks, J.CrewJD!! Please let me know what you think when you see the two skirts together. Thanks!!

  19. I was going to write a long comment about the comparison between bright blue and Nordic blue but instead I put up a quick post on my blog, with photos. I included a photo with nightfall blue and deep turquoise for comparison purposes. HTH someone.

  20. I placed an order Monday morning, got a shipping notice Tuesday morning...and tracking shows UPS hasn't even received package yet Wed. afternoon. Don't tease me, J.scrooge!

  21. Wendy,

I, too, have been eyeing the Quoddy canvas boots. Seems like a pretty good deal with this promotion and I figure I could wear them year-round.

I bought the suede shearling boots from last year and love them. They are so cozy on the inside! I usually wear either a 10 or 11 in shoes and bought a 10 in the boots. I think they stretch out some. The only downside is that the crepe sole leaves little support, if that's important to you.

  22. xoxo: thanks SO much! How in the world did I miss your blog?!?!?! I'm adding it to my blog list ASAP!!!

  23. Wendy: I was in the Tampa J.Crew earlier this afternoon and the sweater promo was still going on there. I would suggest calling your store to see if they are still having it.

  24. I ordered on Monday and while I am waffling between a few items, I'm going to let my Monday order be it until I see the Holiday catalog in person. I love the blue pencil skirt but I know it will hang in the closet...my mustard/tweed color from last fall knows how that feels all too well.

  25. I called my ps and had him order the flare jeans in black and a pair of tights. I'm trying SO hard to be good b/c I'm going to Disney next month, but JC is making it hard. :)

  26. I just pre-ordered those amazing cafe capris in the jaquard, the tippi sweater in pine to go with them, the fair isle leggings that are in the holiday catalogue and a bowtie for my husband. All at the 25% off which made the capris a reasonable..

  27. Xoxo, I'm so glad you replied to rynetta PhD - I thought that I'd seen an image of blue pencil skirts on your blog. I wanted to hunt for your post and link to it here, but I'd already spent too much time Mothershipping at work this afternoon ;)

  28. Don't panic - my ps just told me the 25% is extended through tomorrow and can be used on the new items YAYYYYYYYY.

  29. Yow, just opened the envelope containing my bright blue skirt. Disappointed that it's not the same as the 2008 color. It definitely does border on turquoise as another JCA said. Not a pure blue like the 2008 color. Sadface!

  30. Does anyone know if the discount on the Hacking jacket in herringbone is still going on in stores?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Looks like its extended and on new arrivals!! Wow that's awesome. Quite a surprise

  32. @ J.CrewJD: Aw, bummer! I'm sorry if I got your hopes up about the bright blue color, I've never seen the 2008 version in person to be able to compare hues. I wish J.Crew would publish color swatches in the catalogs each season, haha.
