Kamantha in dc (in the post "J.Crew Free Shipping Offer & Fall (Not Final) Sale") was kind enough to share with us some free shipping codes she found online (and I really do appreciate it!) :) The codes included promo code TRICKORTREAT and promo code BOOO for $100+ orders; and CANADA for $150+ orders in Canada.
Unfortunately, those codes do NOT work. I do n0t think they have been released by J.Crew yet (which is why they are not working right now). I think they will be released by J.Crew relatively soon though (maybe in a day or two). :) (Although, now that they have been mentioned pre-release, who knows!) ;)
Also, "thanks!" to Vivi (in this post) who shared with us the following about promo code RCLK: "I tried using RCLK earlier today, and it was not working online. I called J.Crew, and they informed me the coupon can only be applied by a call center representative."

ReplyDeleteI tried using Justask last night for free shipping, and it either is no longer working or just doesn't work for orders to Canada. Given how low our dollar is right now, it's probably a good thing!
ReplyDeleteUggh! This sucks! I was hoping that code would stick around for a while. Now its gone too. I am now really torn as to what to do as I had pretty much a whole order goofed up from last Saturday. 2 items "cancelled" and one just hanging as "open". I contacted my rep days ago and no reply yet. I had to re-place my 2 cancelled items and they are coming today, but the heels I have in limbo since last week are still not shipping. I am now really stuck as if I order them, I am now missing the 10% off code that I used and run the risk of them actually coming anyway if someone is working on it. Frustrating. Reason I am freaking is that I bought the matching purse and the heels don't really make sense to me without it and I really do love the way they look online. Anyone else out there find it easier to just flat out reorder an item than have CS deal with getting it? In my experience, that department makes it seem like its a big operation to have an item shipped if its in stock in reality, like a big covert operation or something!!! I had waited for a necklace for over a month already that I probably should have just re-ordered rather than wait for them to ship. Sad they are still dealing with these glitches and even sadder the customers have to waste time and stress over small stuff like this. Anyway, glad to see there are more codes on the horizon, they help with the new catalog coming out.

Seems many items in sale section are goofed up as well and things that are not on sale popping up out of the blue. I hate when they decide to work on this stuff on a Friday morning. ReplyDeleteIn good news, yesterday I received a shipment that was short one pair of pants (I ordered a bunch of the same pants, just in different colors and sizes). I emailed about it, and they're sending them to me separately (free shipping, of course), AND they noticed that the pants had been reduced in price, so they gave me a credit for all of the pairs! I hadn't even noticed the price drop!

Like, get everyone's email address and circulate them that way. It seems like everytime there's a deal, loophole, or something good going on, everyone blabs about it and then the deal is dead. It kind of sucks that big brother can't keep their eyes off this blog!
ReplyDeleteI don't think this blog has anything to do with when codes are revoked by J.Crew. Just because they don't announce an expiration date doesn't mean one doesn't exist. If that was the case, RCLK and JUSTASK wouldn't have worked for as long as they did. J.Crew would have just revoked them as soon as they noticed the code had been leaked.

ReplyDeleteI don't know...that's a tough call about the codes..J Crew clearly doesn't want them advertised to the masses (why? I don't know..doesn't it equal more business??!) They pulled their coupons from retail-me-not and won't allow postings on coupon websites so this is no diferent..IMO.

anon, the sale sizes are going even weirder for me - it lists 2, 4, 8, 10, 14, 6, 12 on a lot of the sections. So confusing! The non-numerical sizes are going medium, large, small, x-large, x-small as well.

OT-does anyone have regal violet. It shows up so blue and I thought it was more purple with bluer undertones. Can someone clarify--also does it look great with watercolor lydia? Trying to decide between merino crystal button which is longer style (I have many jackies but no longer cardi styles). Should I go with longer for a change or is it not as wearable?? ReplyDeleteOk, just got off the phone with CS as my usual rep has not responded nor the email customer service for over 2 days. I am not really thrilled with my "service" as she basically told me the same thing that my order history did and that was about the extent of my help. I did that days ago myself. I am sorry, when I am explaining that I literally had 2 items cancelled from an order and 1 that has been "open" from same order from almost a week ago with no status update, something is wrong. I explained that I got my other order from same day in beginning of week and re-ordered the cancelled items and got them today! She seemed fazed not at all and said the warehouse is showing they are in stock and I will get an email confirming shipment soon. I explained I have went through this with about 5 items since upgrade and I had to waste many emails and calls until they got out of the "open" status or they just hang in space till they go out of stock. Any advice on how to handle this? In my experience and considering my 2 other in stock items got dropped from same order, I don't buy the fact that they are still on a "4 to 7 day schedule" for shipping. She told me that it was not avail to ship unitl Monday since it was placed on a Saturday. That may be so, but, I got literally 3 other orders since that were placed on same day or days after. Again, any advice on how to handle this with the path of least stress for me would be great and greatly appreciated(they are the feather heels by the way in desert brown)
ReplyDeletecovert5- the regal purple is defintely more purple IRL than it looks online. but it's not a true purple like royal violet. i would call it a purple-blue. don't have the lydia, so can't say if it would look good w/that. HTH!

ReplyDeleteSo -- question. I received my order today that I placed a few days ago from the Fall Sale area on the site. No where in the check out process or in the confirmation email did it say it was final sale. Yet -- when I received the item today it said final sale on the receipt and had a final sale sticker on the baggie with the item. So, what is this a bait and switch? Get people to order and then tell them they can't return it? Or I am confused and Fall sale is still Final Sale????? Did anyone else have this happen to them.

lisa, they prob just didn't remove the final sale stickers from the warehouse or update the invoicing system. just call and say it was not FS when you purchased it and they should note your account that you have the option to return. I have had this happen before and you are legally entitled to return if it did not say FS when you ordered.
ReplyDeleteI received a package today and of was missing an item :( I was even charged for on the invoice. I called and they don't have anymore :( Jcrew you should do something to fix these huge mistakes. They told me it was probably put into someone elses package. Now I'm out what I ordered.

ReplyDeleteLisa, I had this happen to me w/ a dress I bought about a month ago. The confirmation email said nothing about the dress being FS. I tried to return it to the store and had to haggle with the SA. I even printed the email to show the SA and she said that if it said final sale on the receipt that I got w/ my order then it is FS and I can't return it. I told the SA that I was going to have her call CS and that when I got home I would mail it back myself. After that she was magically able to refund my money.

ReplyDeleteI used RCLK last week to order a shirt for my boyfriend on line and it worked for me. I guess it's expired. I also used Justask in a separate order last week (I know, I know, I'm compulsive, but I can't resist a good bargain) and it worked, too. I haven't tried anything this week, as nothing has tempted me, but there's always hope for tomorrow's upload!

Hi Jcrewguyincanada! Let's hope some new codes start to work soon! Unless there's some unbeatable bargain or a coveted hard-to-come-by item on the website, it's harder and harder to move me to buy without a code.

RCLK won't work even by calling (10/24). I just tried to order a coat over the phone and the CS told me that this code expired yesterday. So, I didn't order.... I guess that JCrew doesn't want my money!

ReplyDeletecovert5: Royal violet looks great with the Lydia Watercolor. It is the same color purple that is in the shirt. IRL, it is a more blue than red purple; vibrant but not garish. The school girl cardigan is sold in royal violet. I have worn it with my lydia watercolor and with my Super 120s Royal Violet dress (its a perfect match for color block look.)
