Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Went to Factory and they had a good amount of retail stuff from years past. Some looked like not in the best shape..Also prices marked on tag were not that low on most items before sale...Sweaters for around 70..I got a linen metallic t from summer '15 $29 with extra half off...I also got Colette crackled leather dorsay pump that retailed for $258 and I got for around $28.

    1. Congrats on your finds! I am headed to my factory store after work to make a return. Hoping to find some retail goodies. I had good luck the past two times so we will see. I agree that some items were not in their best shape and did a detailed once over of the items I wanted to purchase. Since clearance in factory is always 40% or 50% off there are good deals to be found.

  3. OT: A clever "letter" to retailers about the challenge of finding age-appropriate clothes. Directed at British retailers, but includes many of the points often raised here:

    3. This could have been written by many of us here! Well done! Now if we could just get some of the retailers to read it!

    8. +1 yes, yes, yes to all of this. Clothes don't need to be frumpy to be forgiving! Nod to trends, but don't bow down to them, quality and style are never out of fashion.

    9. If the Crew could produce "a Mad Men-style pencil skirt with a sturdy control panel across the belly" I would buy them in droves!

    11. All of the yeses, right there! Maybe the JCA's should write an open post and send it across the pond to show our joint support!

  4. Stopped by my store again today. Sale was 50% off and the only thing I tried for the umpteenth time are the lace up espadrilles. I love them but they just don't feel comfortable.
I returned my high waist black shorts because I ordered them ship to store on sale when they popped back...but just realized they haven't shipped yet and now I'm concerned they won't. Sadly they're the only shorts I've tried and liked (the chambray too, which I returned because I don't really need two with big bows). Ugh, I hope they ship.
Stopped into Madewell and nothing excited me at all.

    1. Hope you get them! My store was also 50% off sale & you could stack coupons (15% off). So, picked up linen shorts (pink, white, green/white gingham), stripe tan/white tank and palm tree skirt for vacation. Morning floral sheath dress is ok on length in regular; will pair with an old Jackie. Decided to try white fan crystal necklace; for $15 ($10 off in store purchase coupon), it was a no brainer for summer. Very little on display from new roll out.

    2. I used my coupon last week when it was only 30 off but got a PA for 40, not 50. My store had minimal selection in sale, very few shorts, mostly larger sizes from what I noticed.
Quite a few of the leopard pants which I loved fit wise' but I felt the leopard was not so versatile for me. Tons of assorted chinos too.

Re: new roll out, nothing I saw thrilled me, some of the tees looked cute, but nothing I needed, I caught a glimpse of the swimmer tippi and thought it was really nicely done. The print reminds me of something else but I can't recall.
