  1. Thanks for the heads up on this! Ordered the Regent Topcoat in Black Watch yesterday at full price as a splurge for my GF.

Thanks to the promo got the Tall Black Watch Tux Trouser and the Topcoat for less than what I paid yesterday! Love JCrew CS price adjustments!

  3. Worst promo....Percentages off are better if you only buy sale stuff :)...will be skipping this one

  4. Skipping this one as well. I never do this kind. better is usually just around the corner.

  5. Will there b a better deal on Black Friday/cyber Monday? Will the Elsie pumps ever cost below $200.

I guess this is the kinda deal where you would just get that one high item that never goes on sale. I'll wait for something better...

  6. this promo ends tonight. yesterdays was a one day event as well. what is next ?

  7. This promo works great for me since I can now justify a couple of expensive things I want that either weren't/aren't on promo or would sell out in my tall size in .0000000001 seconds if they ever were.

  8. Shopped out, but must note..not valid on select petite styles but valid on all tall styles? Wth?

  9. OT....Kelly Rippa ( Morning show with Micheal ) has the midi gold pleated metalic skirt on. pairing it with pretty green sweater and black heels. she is so petite ....it looks great on her.

    1. Ooh...thanks for the heads up! I watched a snippet of their show from their website, and saw a picture taken of Kelly standing up. She looks cute. She might be wearing a Tippi sweater-perfect pairing to balance the volume of the skirt. I ordered it yesterday with the 30% off card promo.

Kelly Ripa is 5'3, and it seems to work for her. I wonder how it will look on my 4'11 frame?? I am hesitant about the skirt since it didn't come in petite.

    2. She looked really nice with it on....the green tippi was perfect IMO. nice to see a blonde wear green. . pretty nice to see in on tv.

    3. CORRECTION: I checked The Kelly & Michael's show website. On the site has a section on Kelly's wardrobe of the day. The skirt is from A.L.C. Andrea Lieberman (her designs are nice - I checked online), and Kelly's sweater is from J.Crew. So it seems like a few designers/retailers designed the gold pleated skirt. Nice that its sold at different price points.

    4. OPPS sorry about that one....I was sure it was J cREW . My error. def. looks very similar. which one was cheaper ??

    5. I'm pretty sure J.Crews skirt is the cheapest. :)

  10. With all those exclusions, what's the point?

Offer not valid on all garment-dyed T-shirts and Garments for Good; all men's suiting, denim and Harwick bags; select crewcuts items; select men's footwear, outerwear, polos and Wallace & Barnes items; select women's accessories, blazers, cashmere, Collection, fine jewelry, leather apparel, pants, petite styles, shoes, suiting, sweaters, T-shirts, tank tops and wedding items; and select third-party branded merchandise.

  11. Time and again, it's obvious the men's section gets the better quality in - everything. If you want a cashmere scarf, none on the women's side but plenty on the men's side. And today they are finally included in the promo, so I've bought several.

  12. I ordered the wide leg black pants in two sizes, since they are not final sale. They are the type of pants that always look chic. I also ordered the glitter Elsies which popped back, and although they are double the price of last week I called and was told I can get an adjustment within 7 days of shipping. Since I was obsessing about these shoes, it's worth the risk. Otherwise for sale merchandise that was a better price last week, it's not worth it, so I saved everything else to my wish list.

    1. I was also tempted to order some of the point sur denim before it hits final sale, but even at 35% off it's more than I want to spend ($170 or so.).

  13. Not a fan of this type of promo. Not even tempted to buy anything.

  14. For the amount I bought yesterday (which satisfied all of what I want right now) the sale was better yesterday. Coming from Canada, the free shipping addition yesterday is what tipped the scales making yesterday the better promo at the $ value I was purchasing. I look advantage of this tiered promo at the 500$ level a few weeks back - and it had free shipping to Canada at that time. It doesn't today.

  15. Has anyone tried either the Teardrop necklace in light shell (e7491) or the crystal cluster necklace in rose gold (E3340)? Would love to hear the opinions of any JCAs who have tried or bought. Also can either be worn during the day at work or are they both a little too sparkly? :-) Please let me know - thanks!

  16. Hi again. In need of some fashion help :-)
The colette Tortoise pumps...any thoughts on those in terms of versatility? I'm wearing more pants right now than dresses/skirts. Would they look okay with black pants? Jeans? Would love JCA advice, pretty please :-)

    1. oh and if you know how colettes fit too would be great. True to size etc...I find I bounce up and down a half-size depending on the jcrew shoe.

      Delete
    2. I had the Tortoise Juliets and I wore them to shreds! Been stalking replacements on ebay forever. The Colettes are a darker color but I think the pattern is so versatile. Kind of like other animal prints, it matches everything.

    3. Hi sunny, I agree with ruffles I think the tortoise print would work with a lot. They look lovely and IMO would def go with the black pants and denim you mentioned. I think they'd be a neutral and could be worn with tons.

    4. Thanks ladies! I think I'm going to give the a try!

  17. well, the things I got are things I've been watching/stalking forEVAH, and I've been told repeatedly that none ever go on promo. For sure none have been marked down, and no code I've found has worked. Until this morning. Desperation rewarded!
But, being a superstitious shopper, no specifics until I see if my stuff ships, fits, and is composed of what it's supposed to be composed of.

  18. Jenna Jenna !!! she was wearing jeans. striped blouse. navy blazer (with white inside lapel) didn't /couldn't see her shoes. hair slicked back (in bun?) big big black (J Crew ? ) earings and her signiture black glasses ( they are back...or did they ever really leave ) .
she said "its not Jenna Crew but J Crew " she down played her icon role and seemed very down to earth saying it takes a village etc. I kinda love her. C

  19. Have to say she seemed absolutely down-to-earth and adorable and I have a new respect for her as so many in her position can come off as snooty. I am not a fan of The Social at all, but I did enjoy seeing Jenna as she was just so laid back, self-effacing and sweet. Given the show (it is such fluff) I am hardly surprised that there was no discussion of J Crew's fortunes or direction in Canada though that's really why I tuned in. For anyone who may want to see it, she is in the 3rd clip of today's show at thesocial.ca

    1. I just watched it online too. I never imagined her to be so down to earth. I don't think that was a phony act at all either. She was so different from what I imagined she would be like.I really enjoyed listening to what she had to say. I even almost started to like the social for the first time, until the end when they reminded me how annoyingly 'try to hard' the hosts are on that show. But back to Jenna - I LOVED her regent blazer with the white trim and also her striped blouse. I hope that was a preview of an upcoming roll-out!

I always thought she's a cool person. Love her style a lot!

The Regent she's wearing is with the satin lapel. The stripe button up might be for spring '16, although a similar button up was made around 3 years ago, late winter, january 2012 catalog, the hot air balloon cover??

    3. I just watched it, I can't believe I forgot about it yesterday. I've always liked Jenna and this interview made me like her more. :) she seems so lovely and down to earth. JCAs should have been in the audience, I didn't see many audience members wearing jcrew.

    4. I'm happy I watched this interview. It's changed my ideas about her and her role in the company. Frankly I think the Crew should listen MORE to her! Intelligent, funny, humble and concerned with what the customers want.....I tell you what I want...her earrings! Dang, I hope they are coming out soon!

    5. I ordered the Velvet Campbell Blazer yesterday (it wasn't excluded from yesterday's promo, but its back to being excluded today . . . games, games, games, but that's a totally different comment). If it works on me, I'm going to totally copy Jenna's style and wear it with some dramatic black earrings and my hair pulled back. What a great look.

    6. There's a few pics of Jenna and her trip to Canada on IG. Go on the search section, under 'Tags' and type, #jennalyons. Jenna and Somsack made an appearance at a JCrew store...

  20. Thanks for the link, JSR. I really like Jenna, she seems so sincere and genuine in every interview I have watched this one especially. Love that she always seems to deflect the attention from herself and thank her team and the others at J Crew. That being said, I hope they get back to some really good designs and quality.

  21. I forgot yesterday.....but another sale is always around the corner. And it doesn't apply to Wallace and Barnes and other things on my list. I think I'll order the wide leg pants...in 2 sizes....and see how they work. Backordered of course!

    1. Hi Stray Cat - Which wide leg pants did you order? I'm interested in the Petite Wide-leg trouser in wool, maybe in black or grey. I'm curious about the fit, especially it being full length. Thank goodness it comes in petite!

      Delete
    2. I ordered the wide leg pants too. The ones shown in looks we love with the Stewart Plaid shirt and white bow tie.

      Delete
    3. Oh....I'm taking about the wide leg ones shown in the catalog with the Stewart plaid shirt. I have one of the old black/plaid shirts just like that one and I like the pairing.

      Delete
    4. Yes, those are the ones I ordered! Not the cropped ones, although I considered them, I realized I had several pairs of wider leg crops that hit my calves in a funny spot that was kind of unflattering. Ankle is ok, mid calf is not. I like them with the plaid shirt or any more fitted tuxedo shirt or even fine knit. (At least in theory, since I didn't try them on! They shipped today.)

    5. Yup, those are the pants! I can't wait to read your review of it. So far, no one has posted a review online....
