  1. Love for Customer Sevice! I ordered the teddy excursion vest in honey that popped in my size over the weekend. Sadly it wasn't on promo. So Tuesday comes, and it went on promo. I asked CS if they can apply the 30% off cardsonly promo, and they did! So happy!
Now let's hope the vest fits and that I have several outfits to wear it with... :-)

  2. Absolutely LOVING the pop backs this morning!! Talk about blast from the past! I hadn't seen those striped sequin tees in years, and they lingered in sale then, too. So many old friends returning. Ahh! Made me smile. Oh---and I did place an order, just not including those tees....

  3. The Cargo Pencil Skirt is in the sale section in a lucky size 2 (item c2430). This skirt is amazing and sold out really quick. It's $49.99 minus 25%. I wore mine all spring and summer.

    1. I loved that skirt, too, and originally bought it in the olive color for something crazy like $10 during that 75% off sale. I tried to buy it in other colors but it sold out in my size. Since my size is a bit bigger fit than I'd like, I tried to size down during Final Sale in the Tidewater blue. Sigh. Not meant to be!

    2. This one is not linen. It's like a thick, stretchy cotton. It's seriously an awesome skirt! I hope someone got it!

    3. Wow. I never noticed that skirt. I thought you were referring to the linen one as well. How did I miss that. So cute.

    4. D'oh! Kicking myself because you included the item number and I just didn't think t to look it up. It looks awesome and has such great reviews, would've loved that one (my size and everything!) Thanks for the tip in any case, I'll keep it in mind in case it ever comes back.

  4. I went by my local store today at lunch. I bought two solid v-neck merino wool cardigans, midnight and black. They are now $39.99 less 40% off. They are great little cardigans and they don't pill under the arms. I like the midnight color, it is not a dark navy but a very pretty darker blue shade. I didn't really see anything in the new arrivals except the red tartan plaid flannel pajamas. They are $95.00. I usually wait until they go on sale less percentage off to purchase. The store was very busy with people snatching up stuff at the 25% off. I thought what a bunch of suckers, if you wait, you can get a much better deal. You really have to be educated to shop J.Crew and get the best price, it takes a lot of work.

    1. I learned this quick! Unless it's a must have item for me, rarely the case. I'm on lurking status right now.

  6. I went to the J. Crew Factory store in Ottawa (Kanata) a few weeks ago, when I visited. It's the first Canadian Factory store that I've been to. The store was so well kept (then again, it's an outdoor mall, which is crazy for Ottawa, and it wasn't super busy), and the service we received was incredibly attentive and friendly. I'm not sure if the SA was the manager, but she remembered one of my friends, and asked her about one of the friends she often shops with by name. She even remembered what my friend does as a job! She went out of her way to track down an item that wasn't in stock, and offered a free-shipping 15% discount card when it couldn't be found. I was surprised to see personalized service (a) at a Factory store (b) at a non-commission store. It was a very pleasant experience. Shows the difference good CS can make.

  7. Here's what I love - a No. 2 wool pencil skirt in red. A real red. Not an orange red. A real, true red!! *swoon*

I'm wearing it today with the chambray shirt with dots (from maybe 2010 or 11?) and the collection Etta (oh I miss the Etta) leopard print calf hair pumps.

    1. Sinead - I love your outfit today! You look beautiful. I hear you on the red. I returned the retail excursion because of that. Poppy just isn't quite red-red like I'd hoped.

    2. Sinead, love your outfit. Chambray shirt, item 89276, summer 2012?? I am wearing it today also but not nearly as fashionable/creative an outfit, just blue jeans.
