"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. I ordered the pixie pants and just received them, BEWARE they are not the same fabric mix as last year. The are stiff and feel like sandpaper. They are so stiff, that they could almost stand in a corner by themselves.

    1. Hi maybelle - I saw these in store and thought the same thing. Wow, they were stiff! Looks to be a common complaint on jcrew.com - but on 10/29, CS responded, "the new pair may feel stiff initially, but definitely will soften after wear and wash". Right. What if they don't, and then they're no longer returnable? I hope JC can put the brakes on this crazy train of ruining their most popular items.

    2. Just read this and I wore out to dinner tonight a pair of Pixies that I bought last year on sale for maybe $15 and love them. They are too long even ankle size but love the way they fit. What is up with J Crew, Tippi, Majesty Peacoat and Pixies. J Crew favorites that they have messed with and not in a good way.
