Happy Thanksgiving Day! {celebrating w/ J.Crew}?

First and foremost... Happy Thanksgiving Day everyone! (I am pretty sure we will all be super busy eating celebrating tomorrow.) It's the time of year where we can spend time with our loved ones and enjoy a fantastic meal. It also officially starts the Holiday season. :)

Per JCA tradition, this post is to find out what everyone is going to wear. I find it really interesting to see what other Aficionadas and Aficionados plan on wearing (and of course it gives me lots of wonderful ideas for future outfits). :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear on Thanksgiving Day? :)

I plan on wearing J.Crew's French Hen with one of their Perfect Shirt Button Down in Blue Check. It will be finished off with Madewell's Legging Jeans in Arctic Blue because I will need the elasticity in the pants for all the eating I plan on doing. ;)

What are you planning to wear this Thanksgiving Day? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

  1. I might be wearing the coral colored blazer on the model on the right side of the photo. I still have that one and it is divine. Nothing made by J Crew today matches the quality of that blazer including the leather (yes real leather) buttons with horse heads, the grosgrain ribbon trim inside and the satin lining. Please please J Crew, return to your roots. Create some quality items that will last 20 years again. Please.

  3. Not sure about up top but I'm definitely wearing the wool pull-on pant in black on the bottom! Co-signing on the elastic waist goodness. I showed them to my husband the other day & he was clearly perplexed.

  4. The only plans I have for Thursday are going to the gym, but I will probably wear my super-FS-cheapo puffy coat from last year there since it's supposed to snow.

    I'm so festive, lol.

  5. Just realized my outfit for tomorrow is all J.Crew - the drapey v-neck silk blouse from this fall in navy and a houndstooth pencil skirt from factory a few years ago. I'm thinking that if I wear fitted clothes, I won't overeat!

Love the Back-zip sweater. Fits tts with room for layering. Very warm and the color is a lovely deep blue.

As for what I'm wearing...haven't yet decided, but I do know that whatever I choose it will definitely be comfortable and non-restrictive.

  9. Will be driving my husband to the airport with my J.Crew flannel PJs on then coming home to lounge with the Doodle still in my PJs. I think it will be the pink gingham flannel pair from a couple of years ago or whatever pair is clean.

  11. Serving dinner at the local soup kitchen tomorrow. We try to keep it festive for the people who come, so bright gold bootcut (still love, still like new) cords from holiday 2008 with either brown cashmere sweater and fun scarf or one of countless navy and white striped J. Crew tees. Among the many things I'm thankful for is the community of fashionistas Alexis has pulled together with her great blog.

  12. I might incorporate my velvet Bella Blazer. I have it the Riviera color. You know, back when JCrew didn't take holiday so literally.

  15. Happy Thanksgiving, ladies! I wanted to wear my Yoshi sweater from Emerson Fry, but temps have rebounded here. Since it's a warm, beautiful day, I'm wearing white lookout jeans with the collection silk gingham top (in gray and navy) from a few years ago, with gray Loeffler Randall booties.

  16. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. From Jcrew I wore the black jodhpur pixies with the leather trim & the peapod necklace. I paired them with a black & tan poncho by Poof and Tory Burch Reva flats. Posted a pic on instagram @shoppingcelle

  17. I actually wore my JCrew Handknit fisherman's striped sweater (from years ago), dark skinny jeans, and platform black leather booties. I actually remembered to accessorize with the JCrew Lucite-and-crystal bracelet.

  18. I wore the ivory and black dot Tippi with shoulder buttons, black Minnies and Madewell Billie boots. Today it's the oversize stripe tee from last winter, navy Gap joggers (with elastic waist, yes!) and blue Nike waffle racers. Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday, JCA's!

  19. I wore the speckled perfect cable sweater in brandy Donegal layered over a denim shirt (and dark jeans). I highly recommend this sweater, it is included in the 40% promo today. I didn't like the regular version (non-donegal wool) as much.
