Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Planning on stopping in to make returns from my previous two orders. I ordered some things last Wednesday with the 50-60% off sale they ran and was bummed because the Harbor shorts did not work for me at all. However, I'm obsessed with the boy shirt in tidewater stripe and plan on trying on the regular size in store (I ordered a petite size but want to compare how they fit). Last time I was in store, I returned a skirt and straight up told them it was because I got it for cheaper...lol. I have a feeling the SAs aren't even surprised at this point.

  3. Yes, I have returns. Any chance we'll have an instore promo tomorrow?

  4. I didn't see a post about this, but factory is offering 50% off everything plus an additional 20% off and free shipping for today. I ordered the garment-dyed cotton-linen shorts in the green and hope they work! I love the color. They didn't have measurements available so I ordered two sizes and they'll waive return shipping on one of them, so that's nice.

I was also considering ordering the factory gingham button-down shirt in navy, but I'm hesitant because I feel like the retail version (boy shirt in crinkle gingham) might be better quality. I have the factory gingham in blush from last year and really like it but it's quite thin. Anyone have thoughts on either shirt or can compare them? (TIA!)

    1. Kimi - The Factory gingham in pink was thin. Very pretty in color, but too thin for me. I have the navy or black Factory from last year and love it.

I found my review from last year of the gingham in pale blush. This year's is thinner.

    2. Oh my, this year's is thinner?! I can't even imagine how that is possible, lol. The price is right, though. Do you think it's worth waiting for the retail version to go on sale?

    2. Thanks, Vava! Pass on the dress for me. Thinking about the jeans. ;)

  6. Not going to the store. But did make my first UPS return. Catbird ring. I don't like how they don't allow fine jewelry to be returned at the store. It'll take around 2 weeks for credit to hit my JCrew card. Lame.

  7. Went in to make another large return and walked out with nothing. The sale section was very picked over in my small store. At least that should be my last big return for a while as the dreaded final sale is back and I will not partake.

  8. Can any JCAs comment on the quality of the collection featherweight cashmere cardi? Great price right now but I'd rather save my $50 if I'm going to have a pilly mess after 2 wears. TIA!

    1. I bought several & donated them all within a few months. No pilling, but the cashmere was wafer-thin and not practical for me. The fit wasn't ideal, either -- shorter and wider than a Jackie cardi, and the arms were a bit tighter. HTH!

    2. I have got several featherweight tee, love them. Beautiful soft material, no pilling, love that it is featherweight, so great for northern climates/air conditioned offices. Definitely recommend.

    3. Which cardi are you referring to for $50?
      Thanks

    4. I love the FW cashmere too. Great option for early summer/late spring, when days start cold, get hot in the afternoon and chilly again later. Beautiful feel to the cashmere, no pilling. Recommend!

    5. Anthro Blogger - My featherweight collection cashmere is style# 23241. I purchased it in 2012. I haven't worn it a ton, but enough to feel happy with the way it's held up. HTH

    6. nthro Blogger, when you say 50$ are you referring to the 50$ off that you get for spending 200$? I just looked up all the featherweight cardigans and they are still way up in the 200+ dollar range...

  12. I have returns to make.....but I just don't want to. It seems I've been in the store returning so often in the last few months. It's kinda embarrassing.

    1. Exactly my situation! Coupled with the fact that I never buy anything any more to make up for it.

  13. OT -- if you're shopping and don't usually go into Banana Republic, you might want to bother to step inside. In this post I'm highlighting a few looks from Marissa Webb's Instagram. And discussing the fabric & fit on a number of tops that I tried on.

Online addtl 50% off sale w/BRGOBIG. My store had addtl 60% off sale items.
