With this promo ending on Monday, the 20th, I wonder if new items from online's August roll-out will be included in the 30 off promo?
ReplyDeleteI thought this might be a good opportunity to stock up on my fav signature leggings, but the recent reviews are pretty consistently awful. Sounds like JC switched to a thinner (and see-thru???) fabric and changed the fit for the worse. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone comment on the Boy Shirt in Crinkle Gingham? I am thinking of picking up a few on promo. Would they be good to wear throughout the year or pretty much just a summer buy? TIA!
ReplyDeleteDepends on your climate. I have the citrus/yellow, and like it, but the fabric is sheer and very thin...
DeleteI have the blue and white shirt. It's thin, so you would need to layer it with a sweater for the cooler months. It's perfect for summer since it's so light and airy.
DeleteNote they run big, I had to size down one size.
DeleteI have the navy and aqua. Found them TTS and perfect for summer. I think you could def wear the navy year round.
DeleteI tried it on and wasn't that impressed by it. I ended up ordering the factory version and prefer that one. The retail version isn't very substantial (thin fabric, quality lacking) and felt big but sizing down would have resulted in it not fitting across my shoulders. HTH.

DeleteYou seem as though you are very negative about J. Crew and over it -- only saying how you never shop or never buy anything or dislike it all, and yet you still want sneak peaks of the new stuff!

DeleteHope springs eternal, I suppose!
DeleteI didn't mean that to be rude. Just an observation about how potent the Crewlade is!
DeleteYes...I thought you were rude that is why i deleted my posts.

DeleteSorry! That was not my intention.
DeleteLet's hope Fall 15 is worth looking forward to.
For me the shoes are the stars in the new catalog:Gemma flats(pointed toe) in lots of colrs, loafers in glitter, the Elsies in beautiful suedecolors(navy!!!),in snake and hologram.Velver strappy heels, the Colette d'orsay heels (leopard calf hair and suede)and the Sloane d'orsay flats( in black bluebird, brown, merlot and leopard and studded).
ReplyDeleteRegent blazer with satin collar, merino tunic sweater, excursion vest in irish moss, boyshirt in bold stripe.
Oooh! Elsies in navy suede sound promising! I love my Elsies in the blush leather.
DeleteSounds good, Ina! Thanks for the info. I do love my J.Crew in the fall <3 I can't wait to see the Gemma pointy toe flats.
DeleteThere is also a vidid jade in the Elsies.
DeleteAlso the Elsie suede D' orsay in. Parsley, heron grey and ornamental red.
And a Elsie with enamel heel in rose ash amd kraft brown. All colrs are gorgious!!!
@JSsR the Gemmas are in glitter, solid (rhubarb, chartreuse and black), marble print, leopard and glitter.
The Colette d'orsays are ktten heels and they made be my favorite with the Sloanes (dorsay pointy tow flats).
Great news that there are more kitten heels in this rollout. I love the look of the Elsie's, but I can't quite handle them all day in the office.
DeleteYou know, I don't care for the Gemma in the catalog. Looks like a pointed toe ballet. I will probably like them in person. Although, I do really like the marble print pair and the pencil skirt in the same print.
ReplyDeleteI think i like the Sloan better than the Gemma.
DeleteI hope there will be a fresh crop of schoolboy blazers this fall. I was more than happy to get a black one for $49 a week or two ago, but I'm worried the steep discount means they're being discontinued. Glad to hear the Tippi is back for fall.
ReplyDeleteJust picked up a pair of the vintage cropped jeans in-store for about $32. It was an extra 50% off (final) sale at SF downtown.
ReplyDeleteSaw the comments about 75% off accessories and decided to call Northpark store & they had the Bluma necklace and a bracelet. Both pieces were $32. Also, picked up silk cami in desert brick; top was finally on sale & able to use educator discount with promotion. I love these camis; just discovered them & have bought 4. They're a wonderful item to wear in the summer with shorts or jeans. Will be an easy item to pack for vacation.
ReplyDeleteI was away and "missed" the 75% off accessories. Hmm, I did say about a week ago that I hope for 70-75 ALL final sale, not only accessories. Maybe that is still to come?
