Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Canadian JCAs - today the website is saying ‘we are temporarily unable to ship internationally, please check back in a few weeks’. A few *weeks* ? Both vague and extraordinary. If they’re changing their logistics company, why would it take a few weeks to do so? I placed a small order last week and noted today that its status is ‘released’, called CS to see if this new shipping thing will affect it but the agent said not. Fingers crossed that I actually receive my order!

    1. Hi! I was just coming to post this. This is incredibly odd, this morning it said check back soon now it says in a few weeks! I’m so disappointed, I can’t believe that it could take that long. There were a couple of things I was eyeing but I guess I can’t order. How is it good sense to have no international sales for weeks. I’m also worried if this will affect the CS agents jobs that work for Canada and their international center. When I spoke to the CS yesterday I did not get this impression.

      I went to look at the Factory site and it looks like we can still order there, no changes. So that is even more odd.

      FYI there was a note on the checkout page that said starting April 1 gift cards will not be accepted at checkout online for Factory. Not sure if this is US too, I honestly didn’t think we could even use gift cards in Canada for jcrew.

    3. Jan, I agree that the discrepancy between JCrew and Factory is really odd. Though I suspect they have always operated on different logistics chains as my orders from Factory have nearly always arrived in less than a week, while JCrew orders take two+ weeks. Who knows? Just hoping their promise of making things better is a true one. And that my order eventually arrives.

    4. Madewell also have the "we'll be back in a few weeks"...

      When J Crew switched from Borderfree to iParcel, I don't think that there was any downtime at all, so this is very odd.

      Maybe they are working on a way to give Canadians the same promotions they give in the US :-)
