"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

 

 This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. This is what I get for buying something... Mail innovations:
    Arrives in Bridgeport, NJ (yay)
    Arrives in Morristown (my town. Woo hoo!)
    Arrives in Morris Plains (next town over... Say what?)
    Arrives in Jersey City (not even close)

    No tracking since then.

    1. It is awful. I finally called J.Crew CS yesterday about something I ordered on January 9 that had not arrived. Detest Mail Innovations! Of course, they made good on it, and it could not be tracked. They need to stop using that method of shipping.

    3. My Mail innovations packaged that dropped off tracking on Feb 3rd appeared again today as out for delivery. So 'only' 13 days from ordering.

      @MmeJ I've had that happen twice, but in both cases
      was able to reorder the item that vanished from tracking. Then the original packages arrived, so I had two. I took one back to my B&M and they had a hard time understanding how I was returning a "returned" item, but finally just took it. The second time I called CS and they sent me a label to ship back the original "returned" package.

  2. My vent is that JCrew still isn’t shipping to Canada (or anywhere else besides the US). They keep saying a few weeks, it’s been over a week now I believe. How can they not have a date, it seems crazy to have no international shipping for that long. When they switched from borderfree to iParcel there was no delay.

    2. Hi JCrew guy! It’s nice to see you on here. Hopefully things will be better for us when they start shipping again although that’s hard to imagine. I wish they would’ve given some notice before they abruptly stopped.

    3. An order I put in literally the day before they announced the shipping change has shipped no problem and should arrive tomorrow, fingers crossed. FWIW Factory uses a different carrier and has not stopped shipping to Canada. Actually hoping JCrew is migrating over to Factory’s system as shipments arrive here in TO in about four days (rather than two weeks). Hoping for an update soon.

  3. I received a $25 gift card for my birthday from JCrew but yet I can't apply it to my shopping cart as the items in there are not eligible for "promotion". My second vent is that whatever happened to the wish list and why did they not bring it back?

    1. Try a phone call to CS, I find that that talking directly to CS is the most helpful.

      You can 'save for later'.
