Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

    1. Oh that’s good to know. Mostly I’m still waiting for prices to go down.
      I AM tempted by
      Relaxed-fit cashmere turtleneck sweater
      Item AS287
In The Muslin or Coal colors but just ordered similar colors In Everlane mocknecks from Rack for about the same price, so I’m going to wait.

I'm going to play dress-up today and try out the BR sequin pants.

    3. So funny I just got the LAST of my banana orders.
Keeping the wide leg pants I posted about yesterday, the black sequin pants and a dress!
      Satin twisted maxi dress.

I do wish the sequin pants were a little longer but each time I put the black ones on I think they’re fun whereas the bronze are a “little” loud. So even if I wear them with a fitted tank and sneakers why not? My husband who lives for comfort likes them.
The dress, satin twisted Maxi dress, arrived today. I ordered a 0 and a 2. Oddly the 2 feels really constricting under my arms and I’m not sure if it’s because of the weight of the dress or a defect. There was also a little tear. The 0 just fits under the arms. This dress is basically like a nightgown. It has a tie belt but it’s a loose cut. I tried with a few wider belts and it’s a great vacation dress. Could be dressed up too. It’s such a coincidence that I had been thinking about this similar cut Essential Antwerp dress Trinny Woodall wears and for under $50 I feel like I can’t go wrong with this one. (My mom said, “did you say the V word?”)
I’m going to try and make my banana returns tomorrow to get it all out!

    4. Well I tried the BR sequin pants with the Collection black wool tuxedo jacket and I think it works. Since I took the S in the pants they fall onto my hips and that gives some much needed length. I can wear them that way with my lower black heels. The crotch drops a little low, but they are so full you can't tell. I just wore a scoop neck black tank under, but the hubs thinks I should try a white shirt like the Christmas photo of our last FLOTUS. I'm planning to dress for dinner tonight, making a salmon coulibiac. So I'll try a plain white blouse as a test and if I like it look for a style that works.

The bronze shade did look pretty bright, but, hey New Year's 2022! Or tshirt and sneakers anytime. I tried the black pair with a black/white graphic t (Heart Lake in the Adirondacks) and white sneakers and was good with the combo. I would have flipped for those pants 25 years ago!

We talk about vacations too, but who knows when that will really happen.

I'm going to go look at the dress...perfect for your shoulders!

    5. You so fancy, I went from my gym clothes to looser lululemon pants to my tryons and finally into the velour sweats.

I tried the sequin pants with my tuxedo blazer too and the proportions don’t work for some reason. I think I may need to have that blazer altered if I keep it. The shoulders fit but the body is just too wide. I think I can really only wear it with loose distressed jeans.

  2. I see that the Sophie sweater blazer is $69.50 on the US site, and I am tempted ty use one of the cross-border shopping services to order one to add to my collection of sweater blazers.

Has anyone seen the stainless steel or rose tile colors in real life?

    1. Hi @Toronto Modern! I’ve seen the stainless steel color irl and I absolutely love it! The perfect shade of the palest gray with no heathering. I almost bought it but talked myself out of it because of all the sweater blazers I already have! But I love it and might have to get it. And I love the rose color too but haven’t seen that one irl.

    2. Those colours look pretty! @TorontoModern, I was able to get the hthr khaki one from Yorkdale in November I think and it was 50% off reg price. I can’t believe that we don’t have any stores left. Hopefully shipping will return soon. It might be worth it to wait and see what the new shopping/shipping methods for us will be. I’ve thought about cross border services but I’m nervous about final costs. Good luck, I hope that you love the colours if you try them.

    3. Thanks, Liztriden and Jan. Appreciate the feedback. I was this close to purchasing - using the US address provided to me by a cross border service. But I am holding off for now. I have so many sweater blazers already. This combined with the uncertainty of the cross border shipping service have imposed a rare discipline on me (at least for today). Thanks again.

  3. I went to my store this afternoon. Regular except cashmere was 40% off. Sale was 50% off. Coats on sale 60% off. Lots of basic cashmere in V neck on sale but none in my size (small). Might go to another store later this week to look for cashmere in my size.
