  1. Has anyone seen the Montauk totes yet? I just ordered the large blue and the medium green with the coordinating strap.

    1. Thanks! I love that striped strap with the green tote. The greens in the last rollout are so fresh and appealing. I like the vibe.

  3. i'm trying to be more aggressive with cleaning out my closets. already got rid of like 7 sweaters and a handful of tees. but, as i'm trying stuff on, i'm realizing how much stuff i have that i love that is j.crew. stuff that literally makes me smile when i put it on. :)

    1. I need to get more ruthless. I think the cashmere and merino/Tippi cardigans have to go. I'm just not wearing them.

  4. I don’t see why I should toss something I love when quality fabrics and workmanship are vanishing from the market and are being replaced by cr*p. My latest outrageous discovery is that Cupro, a form of rayon that was developed to be a sturdy lining or facing under real fabrics, is now marketed as an exclusive high fashion fabric. Tops made of Cupro are listed for hundreds of dollars. No thanks.

    1. WFF, you are so right! I need to review what I have and see if perhaps something can be altered, changed, or adjusted ("upcycling") since it is quality. At the same time, stepping away from buying new junk just because it's new and at some cheap/promo price.

    2. I can love stuff but not wear it. That's why I struggle to get rid of my older J. Crew clothes and shoes. I love the idea of it, the lifestyle that went with it, but in the end, if I'm not wearing it, I think I should let it go.

    4. MmeJacqueline, I love the idea of up upcycling/altering/repairing.

Cate, I feel you—and for me, this is mostly what I do. Aside from some special occasion clothes, a few skirts, I get rid of things. I can’t think of much I regret, aside from a pair of pants I gave my daughter that she got glue on which might be why I keep buying black pants.

    5. The ironic thing is the black pants I gave my daughter were the curator pants with the back zip. I never got them and a few years ago stalked for and found a pair on Poshmark. If I try hard I might be able to replace them.
