Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. First off the spam here is a nightmare,
Secondly extra 70 off 3 or more sale items, plus CARDLOVE...
I still think some prices are high for final sale like the jacquard pants and crepe joggers (I’m missing a pair)
Plus I can’t use my birthday rewards with the above. I reached out to CS to see if they could apply after.

    Sigh

    1. darn I didn't know about CARDLOVE and put an order in early. Just went back and tried it for the extra 20% and says "Extra 20% off purchase including sale styles after original discount is applied" but then it says items in my bag not eligible. grrr! Yet it says "including sale styles". sigh!

    2. oh wait just tried it again for the umpteenth time and it worked..trying to not buy things I don't need/very limited use like the shrunken blazer in black Stewart tartan (AT689). Need to walk away!

      Delete
    3. Cardlove made me do it. Husband got a Ludlow wool blazer for $86, a silk tie for less than $5, and a casual plaid shirt for less than $15. My son got a tee and my daughter a pair of NB sneakers - for less than $11, they were a steal. I got the striped turtleneck in boiled wool that I've been eyeing since they released it.

I got the "items in my bag not eligible too" when I first put in the code, but the discount went through once I confirmed that I was using my JC card, further along in the checkout process.

    4. Yes still havent heard back from CS and I’m just really thinking if it’s stuff I want or just want because of the promo.

      Delete
  2. Ugggh. Not the sale I was hoping for. Wanted general % off. But again. That's ok. I threw extra stuff in my cart just in case but there's really only the one item I really want. So other stuff gets removed and I'm down to the one item (in two sizes of course)

    2. I’m very disappointed too. Why aren’t we getting the same sales/promos in Canada?

    3. I think the Black Friday 40% off promo was as good as we’re going to get for a loooong time....

  4. In anticipation of a sale today, I put things in my cart last night, not only are they not in my cart any longer there not even on the website! Oh well, I didn’t really need anything.

    1. that happened to me! I was going to get the Devon bag in red and it's gone from my cart and the entire site as well. I don't like when they delete things from my cart bc then I can't check for popbacks. Would prefer it they just put the $0.00 next to it showing it's gone/sold out.

      Delete
    2. Same, any of the bags that were on sale that I have In my save for later are gone or full price

      Delete
    3. Devon red bag was in my cart too! I bet it shows up again after this sale. I was considering the animal print but I think the price is higher even with the 70% off. I can’t keep up with the prices.

  5. I ordered the black suede Willa boots to replace my too narrow black boots. Lucky I have a family member who fits a size smaller than me, so I can give them away. There was nothing else I wanted, so I added a pair of mens socks and a pair of earrings to get to 3 items - spending 3.50 to save 20.

    1. Hi pbanos, I have the Willa suede ankle boots in walnut in my usual size and I really like them although I haven’t worn them outside yet since we have snow right now. I hope that they work for you!

      Delete
    2. Thanks jan, thanks for the encouragement. I won't wear suede in the snow either! I debated the pair with the smooth leather and the elastic gusset, but the suede looks so pretty, and the back zip is a nice touch.

  6. I ordered painter tee in golden sun for $2 (really like the yellow color), button fly demi-boot crop jean in white for $8 and tiered black Stewart tartan taffeta maxi skirt for $35. Skirt is sold out, but was available in "save for later." I don't need anything, but skirt will be a nice addition for holiday 2021. I'm a fan of white denim; I've been wearing it this winter with tartan, and painter tees always work.

    2. Me too! I'm an eternal optimist (most days) :).

      Delete
    3. Amen! Also, if you're looking for a sold out item, ask an SA to check inventory. My SIL loved the captoe leopard calf hair boots I gave my mom. So, my brother asked if I could please find her a pair. Was able to score a pair from an Ohio store in her size. Boots were selling on Ebay for $180 + 12 shipping (yikes!). She's super sweet, so glad to be able to find them for her.

      Delete
    4. That’s so nice of you. I saw those CAPTOE leopard boots and stopped myself several times (only because I have a pair of leopard boots I never wear). Those were a steal.

  7. Ok I have three pairs of black pants and a few other items in my cart. CS would apply birthday rewards after but I’m
Just so sick of final sale. For the prices it could be great or I can end up with three pairs of black pants I hate, adding to my current pile of black pants I hate.
I know I’m really picky about fit but it’s so hard to figure out when there are no reviews and no detailed measurements posted.

    1. Which ones, other than the pj style pair?

      Delete
    2. The crochet trim ones, and the joggers in 365 crepe in addition to the jacquard ones.
I know I only liked the crochet trim ones sized up but other pants that loose look terrible—not that they were great, but they’re well made and would look pulled together and be comfortable.

      Delete
    3. Oh, I liked those joggers too but was afraid of the length. If they were two inches longer I'd have wanted them, but I know the length wouldn't work for me. And I also like the pj pants, but would go for roomy size on those. If they are too short to wear out and about they would be good at home pants. The crochet trim pants are even shorter, not sure about the mix of formal pleat front with short length.

      Delete
    4. When I sized up in the pleated pants they hit my ankle. Granted I’m shorter than you are. The length looked better worn higher up but I’d have to take in the waist to get the thighs so they didn’t bunch up around the crotch (or wear a tight belt).

I took dressing room pics so I would remember.

It’s just really hard to tell, on each of these styles I’d prob wear them low for the length but for example my tencel paperbag pants are a 00 and they’re super baggy. Hip and waist measurements would be so helpful.

      Delete
    5. In the past CS could look up specific measurements on pants, I did that a few times. I would ask about the leg opening 'cos of my chunky thighs. Is that no longer true? Sometimes I had to ask two different people to find one who knew how to look it up.

      Delete
    6. @Suz Has What about asking CS to waive final sale due to lack of reviews and uncertainty about sizing/fit?

      Delete
    7. I just did that. I would exchange for another size, not even return. I’ll report back.

      Delete
    8. PBanos, I explained that I have a very long torso and often size up so that pants that others consider high rise can sit on my hips. I asked tor waist/hip/thigh measurements.

      Delete
    9. CS will allow me to exchange. I did ultimately pull the trigger. Since I knew I liked the slouchy fit of the crochet trim pants in the 2 I decided to get the others in the 2 also. Not sure if that will work but nice to know they will allow the exchange.

      Delete
    10. Being able to do an exchange is helpful, of course. If they don't work for you at all, you can offer to the girls.

      Delete
    11. At this point I’m ready to cancel my whole order

  8. I finally got the black snap front sleeve I wanted, during the night before Christmas morning. I thought $37 was fair and was able to use my birthday rewards bringing the total to 12.49.

Haven’t bought anything with this new promo, because like Suz said above, I’m not looking for bargains on stuff I have to make do with. My cart has a coat, sweaters and pants, but all could be duds. I’m just not in the mood. Sorry to be a downer!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don’t even feel like it’s being a downer. It’s honest. I’m really sick of the pile of must haves which were mostly because they were final sale and bargains. I’m finding the whole cycle is just so tedious and I know as much as I love getting new things what I really want are clothes that make me feel my best. Sometimes that’s more fitted and tailored, sometimes like oh, the past nine months, that’s loose and comfy put still pulled together.

  9. Sale got me this AM, but only because it applied to a few things I've been stalking -- another pair of jeans (work is more casual right now while there are so few people in), a red Margot, the burgundy Gemmas, and the silk jungle cat pants -- happy enough with the prices and am confident in the sizing for all. I completely understand the above comments though -- am frustrated with the pricing fluctuations and final sale too.

  10. In Addition to black pants I was contemplating lace up boots in croc embossed leather AU013. Not sure though. Love the combo of brown black and the red laces. Aside from Nordic boots I don’t usually wear lace ups. Are they too masculine? I would t wear with skirts or anything, either skinny jeans or looser pants.

I realized that with their 2020 sale, everlanes boots, snake boss boot and snake western boot, were worth trying since they’re not final sale. I tried the snake boss boot last year and saved the pic. They just look really great with jeans.

  11. CS needs to get their act together. Yesterday I asked via. DM if my birthday rewards could be used after I placed an order. They told me they would apply it.
    Today they told me no.

I told them to cancel my order. I did copy the previous response. It’s not my fault that they have all these promos my birthday month. Why should I not be able to use CARDLOVE in addition to my birthday rewards. It should be treated as a gift card, not a promo.

It’s unfair that they make it so difficult. As a loyal customer I find it frustrating and insulting.

Shirt buys is 35.5 on zero and 37 in curvy 2p. Any thoughts on sizing. I am usually zero to 2 in shirts! Thanks all.

  14. Following up with my previous message. CS Will not allow me to use the current promos with my birthday rewards. I told them to cancel my order and know that whatever is sent will be returned. Im really sick of the games. Why should I not be permitted to use CARDLOVE the same time I get my birthday rewards? Having a December birthday has sucked enough without them limiting when I can and cannot use their multiple promos.

I’ve really wanted to buy less so I guess this is the first sign. In other years I may have spent over a thousand dollars at crew in Dec/Jan. My current total is under $150.

    1. Pants are all canceled. What a waste of my time and energy. I will try to find something in store as a gift with my rewards. Really disappointing.

    2. @SuzHas, I’m so sorry to hear of all the trouble you’ve had with the order. I hope that you had a nice birthday if it passed or that you’ll have a great one if it’s this week. Hopefully you’ll find something great to use your rewards on in store.

    3. It was on the 16th. Thank you Jan! My birthday was quiet, especially considering we are usually at different holiday events each weekend in December. I didn’t mind the quiet, we got takeout for several days and finished The Crown.

(When i said December birthdays have sucked it’s really more in reference to situations like this when there are holiday discounts that can’t be combined with birthday discounts.) 😆 or when I was a kid, getting a combined gift or a birthday present wrapped in Christmas paper! Obviously I have issues! 😉 maybe because I was six weeks early and should have been born late January.

      Delete
    4. In any event, the biggest frustration was that I deliberated even after CS told me they would apply the rewards after the order was placed. Just thinking about it was a waste of mental energy. 😂

    5. @Suz, I’ve been there too wasting so much time when in the end it doesn’t work out and it’s super frustrating! I’ve been meaning to check out The Crown, I’ll have to watch it sometime. I’m glad to hear that you had a decent birthday! One of my son’s bdays is in December and he finds it hard too with people so busy usually. This year he was sad not to have any friends over for it. Take out for several days sounds fun. At the beginning of our lockdown here take out was super exciting!

    1. Was it two promos like now? First they told me I couldn’t use it with the $50 off $150 and now they said I can’t use with CARDLOVE and the 70 off. Max of two promos...
I know there are others here who have gotten additional discounts when asked, I guess I’m not one of them.

      Delete
    2. I hated trying to get my bday rewards to combine with promos. I can't remember the birthday "gift" is it $25 off a purchase? It just seemed to silly to me because if they are going to give up $25 of merchandise what does it matter if it is full price or marked down or promo priced or whatever?

      Delete
    3. It’s so stupid...had they allowed me to use the $25 with my order from the other day I would have spent more than I will going into the store and finding something for $25 or so and spending almost nothing.

    1. I know, I waited a long time for the red fair isle cashmere to go on promo, then finally caved and got it with my $50 off $150. I also bought the honeycomb cashmere rollneck sweater (full price, omg) because I had to see if it lived up the alllll the hype. haha. I thought, "I can just return if I don't love it", well it arrived on Dec 26 and it's really nice but I'm still on the fence just bc of the steep price. Plus there was a tiny bit of letdown because the reviews were just so over the top. It's a sweater, lol. If anyone is wondering though, it does run big, I got in a Small and all my JC sweaters are Med. Small fits great with plenty of room to layer a long sleeve tee or chambray button down under it.

  18. On the honeycomb sweater, can anyone even add it to their cart? It says it's available, but then it goes to $0.00 in the cart. Maddening! Also, so wishing I got a 50 off 150! I am not sure how they determined who got it (I spend more $ there than I ever wish to admit :))
