Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

    2. I was so happy to see that finally! I can’t even remember the last time we had 40%. Has it been 2 years? I placed an order at 7:30 and it went through. Hopefully yours will go through soon!

    3. @Jan, hi Jan finally something for all of you happy!!!! Can you use that is if you received them the $10.00 off coded coupons there?

    4. Hi Lynn, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thank you for your kind thoughts! The $10 coupons apparently only apply to the US. I should’ve waited to order until today lol but at least we have a good promo now.
I hope that you found some good deals today!

    5. @Jan, thank you had a busy day volunteering to deliver meals thru a drive in location. Got into my car and cried all the way home. So sad to see people up front struggling from all walks of life. Hundreds waiting in line since 4 am. Not really interested in anything right now except I purchased another gray cashmere wrap at the old price from months ago and they honored my original price price plus a $10.00 coupon. it was cheap. Off to drop of some jcrew coats and sweaters etc to a women’s and kids shelter. It’s going to get colder here next week and every little item helps someone out there. Just trying to do my small part. Hope you find something nice for yourself and family

    6. @Lynn, that’s wonderful that you were able to volunteer. It really is heartbreaking to know how the pandemic has made things even more tough for many. Stay healthy and safe.

  3. Hi all. Happy thanksgiving to all! I finally figured out the $10 coupons! They work until you log on. So tried it with my gmail adress. Never order from there an it works once. Bought the denim bow shirt with $10 coupon and 15% teachers discount for about $37 and today placed an order on my daughter’s email ( also new email to JCrew) and got a Ruffle-collar cotton poplin shirt in stripe, for $8.80. I just don’t understand why it does not work. CS says it should. They recommend checking out as guest and calling. I hate calling lol.... hope this helps a bit!

  4. @Kate, Glad it all worked out for you but your case hasn’t worked for many of us. I tinkered with that even last week and there’s a definite glitch in the system. I’m a jcrew cardholder and didn’t work again after having logged in.

  6. AS035 Polar Tech Fleece Jacket sizing. Wanted to purchase a few of these to donate anyone have these and do you like them? Thanks

    1. Not that item, but I bought my husband the Nordic half-zip pullover in Polartec® sweater fleece when it went on promotion early in the season. He's wearing it now. This is a well made sturdy fleece. He has one with heavy wear for the last 2 years and it still looks good. But it isn't a fluffy soft fleece. Guess that's why it doesn't shed or pill.

  7. Got my black kikis with the ivory/white toe from the big sale. My first kikis were a 9. A few years ago when I got the ivory with white toe I got the 8.5. Reviews said these ran big but I stuck with the 8.5. They’re about 1/4” longer than my older ones but not sure I could size down. I may need to just add a heel pad.

No $10 code in my package, FWIW,

I haven’t bought anything today or yesterday. Everlane has some great discounts on boots and a long down jacket but I don’t “really” need either, although I could prob use the sleeping bag puffer.

    1. @Suz, I have always had to size down 1/2 size smaller would t fit. I put a heel gripper and full length insert and then they fit. Ordered the same color they’re pretty and classic. No meat on me feet😂

      Delete
    2. Got mine as well. Stayed with my 7.5 and they are good! I have opposite version from summer. No coupon as well. They are very cute and for $10 I am very happy with them.

      Delete
    3. @Kate, lucky you they well. Wear them in good health

      Delete
    4. Lynn, I think over time my feet have gotten narrower or they make shoes wider because the majority is larger. I don’t know but shoes that people say to size up fit me well. Luckily these will work ok for how I will wear them, not long distance walking that’s for sure. 😜

      Delete
    5. Thanks all!! I think the price helps. Lol... I see email sale is ending! Maybe cyber Monday be better! I am waiting on cashmere short sleeve with flowers and boyfriend cardigan with little flowers.... maybe those will drop.

      Delete
    6. Ladies, glad to hear that the shoes worked out or are doable at least. That was an amazing price! I still kick myself for giving away my old ceces that were like new.

      Delete
    7. @Suz, I think they’re making them wider as you mentioned because the majority is larger. I’ve always had a narrow heel but medium with and shoe sizing tends to be a problem whether or not it’s an inexpensive shoe or higher end shoe. Can be a nightmare at times. Have a nice weekend

      Delete
    8. Lynn, it seems my heels slip in oxfords, loafers, boots and I even had to sell almost all my Elsie heels because after one wearing my feet slipped forward so much the shoes wouldn’t even stay on at all. It’s an issue! Heel pads and not wearing socks helps a little. Sigh.

  8. Ribbed cashmere V-neck cardigan sweater

    Item: AR944

    Color: HTHR MUSLIN
Received this one today and it runs quite a bit shorter on me than the Neon Fuchsia. Disappointed because if I size up it will be too large.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Lynn, that’s so disappointing! I wonder if the other colours fit like the hthr muslin or like the neon fuchsia. I’ll keep stalking the neon fuchsia in case it comes back in my size and ever goes on sale here. I was worried about the length. I wonder if it’s a defective one that you received?

      Delete
    2. @jan, I’m not sure at all about this sizing story or if they based off their charts according to actual size. What I can tell you is I have the XS which measures 20” in length and the S is 22. I ordered 2 2 of each to compare the sizes. Neon Fuchsia in either size measures 22” in length. Width is the same on both. I really love the Heather Muslin which I mentioned earlier and I think I will keep the XS even if it’s shorter but order another one just to make sure. Hope this helps

      Delete
    3. I love the Muslin color. Glad you got it on discount. They are sitting tight on most of their cashmere and no discount. I am waiting. Going to keep an eye on it. Sale is only 50 today. No update to sale section. Perhaps they waiting till Monday. Have a few things on my list. Lol.

      Delete
    4. @Lynn, thank you so much for that info! 22 would be the very shortest I could go. Based on sizing down I’d need xs or xxs, I was hoping both would be 22”. Hopefully the next one that you receive will be longer. The hthr muslin looks really lovely.

    5. @jan I will you know. OT, do you have a small dog? The reason I ask is that I ordered a beautiful doggy stroller from Canada. A company called Dogquality the Dogger Stroller. It’s the coolest looking stroller on the market and comes in colors which would be easy to coordinate with Jcrew items. Purchased this green one. Can wait until I receive it and go running around with Tango in it. I was so happy to find a product not made in China and give a small business a little help. This is the mother of all strollers and I consider it be Tango’s Lamborghini😂 Anyone who has a pooch should consider this.

      Delete
    6. @Lynn, that sounds amazing! I don’t have a dog, my two young boys keep my hands full lol. My sister has one but he’s a huge husky. The stroller sounds fantastic, I always appreciate items made in Canada or the US for better quality and a feeling of supporting local. Have fun with it, I’m sure Tango will love it.

      Delete
    7. @jan, they’re coming out with larger one soon. Will accommodate large dogs and perhaps 2 small active boys😂

      Delete
    8. Lynn, that would be hilarious! My boys would love that. My 6 yr old wants to snuggle the husky but he’s 1 yr old and still too jumpy. He is a rescue dog from Nunavut. Sadly he was living on the streets there so a business man paid to have him sent to Ontario to find a home. My sister has her hands full lol. He is loving the snow that has started.

      Delete
    9. @jan, what a wonderful sister you have and the guy that paid to have him sent to Ontario. I love hearing good things these days. Maybe a Radio Flyer wagon would be more appropriate for your kids unless they want “Hot Wheels” or have them already. I remember one Christmas my parents gave my younger brother one of these Radio Flyers when he was about 5 and he played with it until he was at least 8. Oh the good days of simplicity!

      Delete
    10. That’s so funny, we do have a wagon and in the winter you can change the wheels to skis. The kids love it. I do miss simplicity!

My sister never had a dog before but after the pandemic started she started looking and found him in a shelter. He had some health issues but is well now.

  9. I ended up ordering the layered block print coverup and the strapless leopard coverup. I was due as I was wearing 10 year old old navy coverups. Also ordered new swimsuits from landsend. They have awesome quality suits that aren’t too cheeky and last forever - I just pitched the 10 year old ones last summer. Hopefully I’ll have a reason to go swimming next summer as our annual Florida February trip is cancelled due to the rona. Sad :(. We do hope to rent a cottage in MI a few weekends next summer so it will be nice to have a new swimsuits and coverups!

    1. @Liz, the Leopard is cute. What’s the item number on the layered block print coverup please? Or it it tiered in the blue? Thanks and sorry about your Florida trip. Don’t blame you for canceling. Ridiculous here in PB. Nobody wears masks. They’re all in denial, especially coming from the Midwest and NE

      Delete
    2. @Liz, I’ll check out lands end. I don’t like cheeky bottoms and it’s hard to find ones that aren’t. I’m clinging to hope that Florida will be “safe” by June if our border ever opens up. I’m trying to stay positive. I hate missing more trips when my kids are little, their childhoods go by so fast and they’re in love with the beach. I’m sure you’ll enjoy a cottage next summer!

    3. Hi Lynn! The block print coverup is Item AO993. I haven’t seen that print in person but I remember several jcas liking it. I’ll wear this coverup with a purple halter suit and the leopard coverup with a classic black suit.

    4. Lynn, one of my neighbors - a doctor - told me yesterday that she’s on her way to spend the next 3 weeks in PB. unbelievable.

I’m shopped out. I’m sorting through stuff to see what I can return.

      Delete
    5. @wellfedfred, unbelievable indeed. I won’t comment any further, you know how I feel.
I too, am shopped out and worn out from crazy sizing issues, poor quality and quite frankly ugly Ratti prints and ruffles. Hope you are well and stay safe.

      Delete
    6. @Liz, Hi Liz thank you so much for adding the item number. Very pretty coverup

      Delete
    7. @lynn I with you on poor fit, quality & ruffles. I can’t wait until ruffles are out of style. I hate them, how many grown women look good in ruffles😂

      Delete
    8. @Dana, only our inner child looks good in ruffles, but that's not what's showing on the outside. Ha.

@Lynn and @wellfedfred that's so disappointing. I decided to take the next few weeks or so off because the people I work with and for won't take things seriously. I'll be spending a lot of that time on cockamamie money-making schemes but also doing a big closet assessment.

I have picked up a couple of useful items in the sale, but the vast majority was returns. The black gingham 2-piece swimsuit is nice and I need it. Hoping to like the sand suede chelsea boots (practical footwear).

  11. I received my $4 velvet leggings today. Soft, cozy but not too thick/hot, TTS though a little long (I'm 5'4" and I had to tuck them under a couple of inches at the ankles). So happy with them, especially at that price! Wish they came in navy as well.

    1. Mine arrived today too. TTS though a little short! I'll wear them around the house this winter for sure.

    2. Ha, that's funny about the length! Question- was your paper tag a little strange? I just noticed mine is formatted unusually, with the text with the style number, etc. being oriented with the top towards the short side and multiple rows of text, whereas usually it's printed along the long side of the rectangle. The back of the tag is still the tan background with J. Crew oriented correctly.

      Delete
    3. I looked, and the only difference I see is the hang tag printing is now 'portrait' oriented instead of 'landscape' oriented. Must have new hang tag printers.

  12. Crew Pricing games continue. Whatever was in my cart is now more expensive and even excluded from promo. Nothing I really needed so the higher prices are just stopping me from buying anyway. Too bad I didn’t get the leopard Roxies or the snake Willa boots for $32...I just really don’t need them. Hope someone else snagged some good deals.

    1. I had quite a long break from shopping j.crew, and coming back, yeah, wow @Suz Has, I do not miss the pricing malarkey. Two items I ordered have gone done significantly in price, whereas the ones I waited on have gone up. I guess their algorithms work in a strange way. Surprised there isn't a better sale today- I mean, how are final sale items more expensive today than last week? Perhaps they had their better sale early in hopes of getting a greater share of spending prior to today? But why am I trying to reason with j.crew :D

  13. Perhaps they’ll throw out a Flash Sale. I too, am tired of the pricing games. No shopping for me. Don’t need anything anyway

  15. The Pull-on Chelsea boot in desert sand suede (AQ661) arrived. They had been on sale for $35, final sale. I normally stay away from final sale, but these looked worth the risk. True to size and love them. They appear to be a good quality classic.

Because there was a $10 promo code in the box with the boots and an extra 10% off on top of the existing 50% off, I reordered the Cocoon coat in heather dusk (light gray). I am also sick of the pricing games, but since it was a $30 difference from yesterday’s price, I figured that it would be worth a quick trip to return the one that I purchased yesterday.

    1. Agree, to many pricing games. Lots of my items are higher priced. No update to sale section. I guess I am spoiled with JCrew sales and probably don’t need anything. I may buy 9" vintage straight jean in Rinse wash. Any thoughts? I have not seen them mark down ever. I have been searching for 8 inch toothpick in this color but can’t catch my size 26.

      Delete
    2. Too bad, I have the 8” toothpick in that color but in size 24 I’ve had listed on posh. I just prefer everlanes super high rise skinny jeans so I bought a similar color from them. Mine are like new.

    3. 26 is like no where to be found. I can’t fit 24😭
I am not sure about the straight fit 9.... been looking at them for a while. Lol. Maybe I can’t bite the price. Lol
