J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. It’s kinda quiet on here lately! Is everyone waiting for better deals? Are there more holiday or winter launches still to drop or is this it for the season? Are there any pieces you are loving? I have rewards to spend and nothing is completely tempting me right now.

    1. @ShoppingCelle, yes another launch on the 17th. No other news or previews to report.

    2. @Shopping Celle, I’m waiting for a promo for Canada. I finally bought a Sophie sweater blazer and I’m happy with it. I like some of the tartan items but like others have said I don’t know if I’ll be doing much for the holidays.

@Lynn, thank you for the update!

    3. I just sent an email to them asking if they will have any promos for us. I still work (essential service) and could use a good promo to restock some items. We'll see!!!

    4. Oh I hope so! It’s been a while and I wish we could finally get more than 30% off!

  2. Yes, I am wondering if they’ll drop any Holiday stuff this week! The new arrivals are already feeling a bit stale to me.

  3. Although the recent weather doesn’t reflect my feelings, right now for being at home the majority of the time I just want comfy, cozy yet not sloppy clothes.
Chunky sweaters made of natural fibers, joggers, etc. The waffle joggers from jcrew I got last year are comfy but not at all flattering and way too short. I gave my second pair to my 5’2” daughter and may give her the first pair too.
Aside from some lovely coats I haven’t seen anything I really want from crews newer stuff. There is one ribbed mockneck sweater I liked but last I checked it disappeared from my “save for later” and it looked really boxy. I’d consider splurging on cashmere joggers but those are gone too.
OTOH I will continue to love and wear older pieces like my Nordic boots, my leather Ryder pants, wide leg wool pants, cashmere hoodie.

    1. Interestingly I searched and jcrew has preorder for cotton cashmere joggers, no details re percentage of each.

    2. Waiting on better deals which they even had before! I have few pieces on my radar but nothing urgent! Hard to spend more when it was available for less before!
I was looking at the heeled penny loafer, suede cap toe boots and black cashmere pointelle sweater.
I do think some cyber savings are good. The regent jacket.... been looking at the grey one few years now.... idk if I should try it.... maybe too formal

  4. I've just been mentally exhausted by the election chaos, so have been staying off the computer for all reasons lately to give my mind a break. But in terms of clothes, nothing new has tempted me. I have 3 JC coats that are unworn with tags, and I recently switched seasons in my closet and my cashmere and wool survived dormancy, so I don't need to refresh there. And my boss just reiterated there is no plan to bring us back to the office any time soon given the rising rates in NYC, so I'm not interested in buying blazers or dress shoes either. And the mayor and health commissioner are telling New Yorkers not to get together in person for the holidays, so I have no holiday parties to attend. It is getting really hard to find a reason to buy nice clothes.

    1. Agree. I do go in.... but dressing more casual. I have few things from summer sale like leather leggings that I was hoping to wear for the holidays but don’t think we doing much .,, lol

    2. I’m also working as usual but going nowhere else. No holiday parties mean nothing new is needed. I also don’t need anything for dinners out with friends, football games or date night. Sigh!

  5. Item AQ820 Slouchy Boyfriend Jean in Outlaw Wash. Opinions please? Have you noticed Jcrew changed the image of the failed tie neck blouse? Still won’t sell. I returned mine immediately.

  6. I received the low-top ombre pastel Chucks. They're adorable, and the price was right. They'll be house shoes for the time being, since I don't go out much. I ordered my regular size and the fit is perfect.
