Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Thinking about trying the Remi pant going up a size. I tried my normal size and hello! Muffin top. Lumps and bumos galore. So unflattering. Wondering if sizing up will do the trick. Sometimes that can be worse though. Thoughts?

  2. They are having a lot of tops today at $29.50! I hadn’t worn a few tops that were included in the sale so I returned and re bought. Goats too included as well, amazing sale highly recommend!

    1. That price is crazy, very jealous of the great deals in the US! I hope that you found some shirts that work.

  3. I purchased the plaid Classic Boy Shirt recently in flannel in Brilliant Sapphire Multi AU 255. I washed it according to instructions and it shrank. Reordered today and went up a size.

    1. Hi Lynn! The blue looks really pretty on that shirt! Too bad that it shrunk, hopefully the next one will be better.

    2. Hi Jan, the colors are so beautiful and the fabric is so soft. It fit so well, more tailored until it was laundered. The arms shrunk in length. I did order two more, one larger and my regular size again. Hopefully there won’t be any issues and there’s a backup. It’s a pity they didn’t make this in a lighter weight cotton. The colors are that beautiful. With white jeans fabulous. Hope you’re doing well up there.

  4. I went in to do a return/exchange that's been sitting here too long. Looked around a bit but nothing jumped out at me... Which is a good thing. Trying to be good and not buy new stuff... And I'm cleaning out closets and trying to sell/good will stuff because we're getting more serious about buying a house.

    1. I’m pretty sure I sized up only because the fabric is delicate and I have ripped the shoulder seam even when the fit seems ok.

  6. I’ve checked the site but there’s not much from crew I want. There’s a pretty alpaca blend mockneck but acrylic etc means I won’t try it (and I find alpaca reallly irritating anyway).
My family will only be getting together outdoors right now so I’m glad I have warm coats and boots.

I have splurged on some leather pants and waiting for them to arrive, and may buy the Everlane merino half zip as I love my other Everlane merino sweaters. Hoping for a holiday or Dec birthday discount.

    1. @SuzHas, I’m the same with avoiding acrylic. It means a lot of sweaters get ruled out but I probably don’t need any more. I hope that the leather pants work out!

    2. I have two pairs on order and one to return. The past few years I’ve gotten two pairs and have worn them a ton. They keep me warm, are relatively comfortable and I can dress them up or down!

An everlane “influencer” posted a coupon code (ive never seen that done before) and I ordered the sweater which was already sold out in most colors and sizes. Hoping the S Works with the oversized fit.

I may be done buying anything for myself until the new year. (Ok, probably not but I’m doing quality over quantity this year.).

    3. Like Suz and Jan, I will not buy acrylic. It can be difficult to find sweaters without it but worth passing on those that include it, in my experience. Merino is definitely something I will always be happy to pick up!

I have been spending my money elsewhere. I bought a pair of leather joggers on Poshmark (my third Posh purchase ever!) and am currently having them original hemmed. Now more than ever I am craving quality items. Not going out limits my usual desire for a variety of new items to wear all the time.

I go into the office every morning for a half day. I am grateful to have a reason for eyeshadow and jewelry. It really does give my spirits a boost that lasts all day long, even once I take the jewelry off a just few hours later. On Sundays I have been enjoying looking at the weather forecast and getting my outfits ready for Monday-Thursday. This has enabled me to dig deeper and pull out many pieces that I do not wear as often or do not pick. Even though I used to get my outfits together the night before, I would always skip over skirts, or blouses that needed to be ironed, anything fussier, which were many of the pieces I loved! I always picked the easy, comfiest stuff. Maybe now I'm also sick of comfy? By doing it on Sunday I am getting more wear of my things. I hang it all on a clothesline in my basement and just bring up the outfit I am going to wear the next day the night before.

    4. @Cheritheberry, getting your clothes ready on Sunday is a great idea! Very organized and I can see how it lets you wear more items. I need to keep this in mind. Glad that you’re getting opportunities to dress up and enjoying it!

  7. Don’t forget everyone there’s another launch tomorrow. Details unknown except they’ll most likely push out holiday items per my VPS. Again wasn’t informed of any previews. I also wonder what they’ll come up with for Black Friday.
