Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. New arrival item coming, new Collection silk twill blouse and matching pants with a Goat pattern. White goat with multi colors. Yes, she said a goat. Hope her animal description is correct but this is what she told me. Said it's pretty. Critter is white and blouse has aqua, yellow and other colors. Unfortunately she had a very tiny image which wasn't able to be enlarged. A chambray tie neck blouse. You can view part of the image under item AB720 Golden Topaz. That's it for now.

    1. Thanks for the update. Oh my, not sure what to think about a goat...hmmmmm. All of my orders from last week's sale have shipped and no cancellations. Even the snowy tartan plaid moccasins shipped!

    2. Hi! I am so interested in what this goat pattern is? Is it posted online now? The color scheme sounds beautiful. I know some people feel indifferent to the animal print but I have bees, butterflies, lobsters, leopards, giraffes, tigers, crabs etc from J crew and I love them all.. my daughter said I have zoo wardrobe. SO I would love to see what the goat is!

    3. @MyGoddy, I’m wondering if it is a Unicorn. Jcrew used these on Drakes years ago. I can’t believe how fast items are shipping and I too, haven’t had any cancellations. Happy to hear about items as well. Enjoy. I hope for everyone over there you will be able to go out and about. Here they’re clamping down and fining people that don’t wear masks €1,000 in Italy, Spain €600. Jail time 18 months in Italy if you don’t play by the rules. There are a few cases in Monaco but they enforce the mask rules and if you don’t ..... police state, only 32,000 here. Easier to keep track of everyone.

    4. @Lynn, thank you for the updates! A goat, that does sound funny but maybe it will work. Your suggestion of a unicorn makes more sense. Hope that you’re staying safe and healthy.

    5. @jan, thank very much. I do hope you are staying self and healthy. Was so disappointed to hear the Canadians didn’t benefit from the crazy sale. Will be interesting to see what the company launches soon. Have a nice week!

    6. The farm near me offers goat yoga class, so maybe goats are the next big thing?

    9. @mygoddy lucky you on the moccasins! I had ordered them and the tartan pajamas but the mocs got cancelled on me. Still, feel fortunate about scoring the flannel pj set!

  2. I missed the 60 off sale on Friday so didn't purchase anything. My cashmere items arrived last week - the feather weight ribbed tee in black, I went with a medium, it's a slim fit which I like and very flattering, definitely thin and slightly see through. I like the longer sleeves on it. I wore it under a sweater coat so didn't opt for a tank underneath but you could see the contrast between my skin/black bra through it when I didn't have the coat on. I also picked up a navy and black featherweight t-shirt with the sale price that disappeared, a medium and a large. Not much difference in length between the two sizes, the large is a bit roomier through the body. I've liked having neutral dark tops for my Webex video calls.

I have been wearing the grey open front cardigan jacket quite a bit. It's an excellent deal with the warmup/card codes ($40ish) and I'm considering the black. I sized down to a small which makes it a little more fitted in the sleeves but as previously stated I find it flattering on my curves. I wore Saturday with a white scoop neck tee and faux leather leggings and snake printed flats (you can see it on my IG @fablifeforever). It is pilling a bit but nothing I can't fix with a sweater shaver.

  3. @Lynn, @mygoddy, I’m hoping the Drake silks are back, also hoping for better attention to detail. I loved a pair of silk pants - until I stood in front of a mirror and saw a mythical beast gazing mournfully at my crotch. SA did not believe me, had to try them on again, yes I’m shameless. Also remember a lovely tiny silk scarf with unicorns & flowers, unwearable due to excessive sizing (starch) which held the silk togther but made crackly noises when tied.

    1. I always love your commentary. Drake would be a wonderful surprise for fall. So many goodies from days of yore. Yep, the creature placement is a HUGE deal.

  4. @Wellfedfred, I’m hoping as well but I doubt it. Perhaps Ratti. Funny you mentioned the fabric with your items. I had a similar issue with the starch. Brought the silk items to a dry cleaner and they replied they would wash them. I looked upon them in horror and asked again “is it safe”? Reply was how do you think we cleaned silk before dryi cleaning? The items came out beautifully sans starch and squishing. Live your tales as always:)

    1. Yes, and I even unsubscribed last week.

    2. I don’t even remember subbing to Madewell and the last time I bought anything there was 2012. All of a sudden started getting emails this week and about 2 a day. I unsubbed this morning.

  6. I should add . . . I had already unsubscribed some time ago, and/or deleted my account. So they have clearly widened their net recently and I am, sorry to say, annoyed.

  7. Getting several MADEWELL emails but no crew emails. Signed up online again last week. Checked spam, etc. nada.
