Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. 50 off sale. Some new cashmere on sale! Some markdowns! But I am waiting! Last few sales I had to many returns which gets complicated from returning at store to paying your bill! I did see few T-shirts and few cashmere sweaters that I would pick up but waiting for better promo. Happy Friday everyone!

    1. I am so glad I didn't get any cashmere during the cashmere 20% off sale this past weekend! I was mostly considering the featherweight ribbed cashmere tshirt, which got good reviews. It was $90, less 20%, less an additional 20% for cardholders, which ended up about $58. In contrast, today, the black and acorn are on sale for $80, less 60%, less an additional 20% for cardholders, which ends up at $26!!! I am pretty sure the price is not getting better than that, and even if it does, I am happy with the $26!

    2. @AudreyS Thanks for the heads up on the ribbed cashmere tshirt. I ordered acorn and black too. Planning to layer with a cardigan or poncho. Agree that $26 is hard to beat!

    3. Yes, wow thanks so much for noticing that on the ribbed cashmere tees (and posting here!). For that price I had to get one. I sized up one size so hopefully can layer it over long sleeve tees or thin button downs. I also wanted to try the front pocket cropped sweater blazer (AM710) in the pale pink and now that it was in the 60% plus 20% category, decided to give it a go.

    4. Thanks for the heads up on the cashmere. Bummed to hear they played around with the prices though I managed to get a few of the cashmere sweater t-shirts with the 50 + 20 as well as a ribbed cashmere tee in black and the leopard dot cashmere sweater. The change of seasons always gets me in to trouble.

  2. Happy to report that in-store stock is getting better. Better selection and happy that my stores have opened fitting rooms.

  3. This morning I grabbed two button downs and a graphic tee (crab, he's a Cancer, we spend a lot of time down the shore, and he and my son love eating crabs together so it will be from him) for my boyfriend for Christmas. Total was $25.34. Crew button downs are his favorite so I am always happy to refresh them on the cheap

  6. I got the collared cashmere sweater in iced lilac since the sweater was not excluded from the promo and I had it on my wishlist. I’m still thinking about the cashmere sweater in leopard dot. My husband needed some button downs so I got him a couple. Prices were great for button downs.

  7. Got the pleated wide leg pant in silk twill. Took a chance with my larger size even though a review said they ran huge. I’d rather adjust the waist or wear them low than have them pull on my hips. Fingers crossed,
Ordered slim tech pants for my husband. He loves the gray I got him last year so the black will be like dress pants for him. 😆

    1. Price was right but I was not sure about the mockneck ruffle neck merino sweater. If anyone’s tried please report back.

    2. I ordered those pants too, also didn't risk my smaller size. Wonder if they can be hand washed.

    3. I wear my clothes so minimally I think steaming will be fine!

    4. Ooooh I cannot wait to hear what you both think!

  8. I went yesterday to pick up stuff, try it on and return what I didn't like. The Slim perfect shirt in Liberty mixed prints runs small. I had sized up but I returned it yesterday. It's one of those shirts that I think, for me, I might wear it once and then wonder why I bought it. It's also short and I'm almost six feet tall so that was another issue, but it is pretty. It was $10 more expensive than it is now and it wasn't final sale when I ordered it. The store looked okay. I guess I should just be grateful that the store is still open.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I placed an order for the dark rinse denim skirt, a cashmere pointelle sweater in black and a slim perfect t-shirt in dark spruce. I don't have to worry about final sale with these items.

  10. I’d been holding out but the prices were too good to resist. I ordered the Sophia slingback pumps in snake and pink cap toe faille, the crystal circle earrings, the stone drop earrings, and a couple sizes of the 9 in high rise toothpick jeans. I have fewer than zero reasons to order new shoes, but they really do make me happy, so oh well.

  11. Stopped in store for some returns. Full Price 40% off, Sale 50% off, but some of the the in-store prices before discount were much higher- for instance giraffe pants still at $118 USD compared to $70 online. I'm sure they'd match if asked but there wasn't anything I really needed. SA confirmed they did not expect to see Tippis coming out in a wide variety of colors they way they have in seasons past...RIP another staple. =(

    ReplyDelete
  12. I just ordered the short sleeve leopard cashmere tee couldn’t pass it up at the reduced price

    ReplyDelete
  13. I used to buy their bracelets a lot but how can one buy them online if they’re final sale? What if they don’t fit?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I bit on two cashmere crewnecks - one in the wisteria color and the other polka dot with bow. Got to use up the half-birthday code they sent. I wasn’t going to buy anything until I changed seasons in my closet but I have a big feeling a lot of my sweaters from last year won’t be fitting anymore. Plus every year I always find moth holes in my JC merino wool and Tippis no matter how well I store them, no idea why the moths love JC wool so much.

  19. Hey everyone. Got my gray chateau parka today. It’s stunning but I never noticed the hardware is silver. I don’t particularly care for silver and all of my accessories are gold. Wondering if it will still work? My main bag is cognac with gold hardware and I’m not sure if I should be worried whether the hardware is mismatched. I rarely buy bags (this fall is the first time I bought one in about 4 years) and wouldn’t even want to buy a bag with silver hardware anyways. I’m crazy for wanting to return just for a silver zipper, right?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think you are crazy at all. It looks like all other colorways have gold zippers. If most of my accessories and other outerwear had gold hardware, I would probably want to stick with the gold hardware. I've learned the hard way to not keep an item that is missing something I want.

      Delete
    2. You're not crazy. I am the exact opposite of you- hate gold, love silver. I have definitely not bought items I otherwise liked because they came with gold hardware. If it bugs you now, it will probably always bug you.

      Delete
    3. Looks like they changed a few colors to silver. I prefer gold as well, although I wear both and will mix and match certain things, but I find I think the bag and coat would not work for me with mismatched hardware.

      Delete
    4. I would also like to chime in about the silver hardware. I recently purchased the H8701 rain jacket in black. The exterior hardware is matte black but the interior zipper & the back of the snaps are silver. I was a little bit disappointed that they weren’t gold but I am keeping it anyway because I love the jacket and it fills a need in my wardrobe.

      Delete
    5. My humble thoughts. I like both gold and silver hardware and just purchased a Bottega Veneta bag in red with silver hardware. I wear a lot of gray and I prefer silver hardware with this particular color. I also have mixed and matched items in subtle ways. I believe though you have already made your decision? Good luck

      Delete
    6. I can totally see why you’re hesitating. I too prefer gold hardware. When it comes to winter jackets though, if the Chateau is something you’d wear enough I wouldn’t mind silver hardware in that case because when it’s freezing here I’m more worried about being warm and comfy. It’s a beautiful coat and colour, good luck with your decision!

      Delete
    7. Meantime add that I’ve recently seen a lot of handbags in Europe with silver hardware. Both expensive and inexpensive. In your area I’m with Jan, I would want to be warm. Again, if this is your personal preference go with what you like. If you’re wondering how others might view it in person where you live I wouldn’t care. I’ve never cared though. Jenna Lyons never cared either:)

      Delete
    8. I prefer silver and have been disappointed in the past when items have had gold hardware, but I will mix metals. I have one bracelet in yellow gold I regularly wear with my stack of silver. Also, echoing Lynn’s sentiments I carry Chanel bags with both colors of chain hardware for example a red jumbo with gold hardware and I have no problem wearing that with all my silver toned everyday jewelry.
I understand some people will not mix but dare I say I think that can be limiting. It is only as I got older and acquired more of a collection that I now mix.
      I say keep the coat!

    9. Went And checked my 2016 grey chateau parka and it has silver zipper! I love silver. But don’t think I ever even noticed! I do know it’s my work horse coat! Warm, pretty and light color which is very different for winter! It easy to care for ( dry cleaners), but I get coffee stains on it all the time and they all come out! Honestly it looks brand new!!! So I guess it’s preference!

      Delete
    10. It's a beautiful coat. I agree with others about mixing metals; I'm a fan of David Yurman and so I do this daily. Because of this, I don't pay any real attention to whether my hardware is coordinating. I sense hesitation in your post, so I think you'll need to opt for what's going to make you most comfortable. You have 30 days, so maybe think about it for a while. Wishing you good luck with whatever you decide!

      Delete
    11. I agree that it matters more if the coat is warm and usable. I also prefer gold jewelry but I think gray with silver hardware makes sense and looks less contrasting for those who want more tone on tone. That said, I also love mixing metals when wearing jewelry.

      Delete
    12. I think on some coats subtle hardware wouldn’t matter, but on these with the exposed snaps and Zips it’s more of a statement. I’ve not worn my downtown field jackets and vests on occasion because the gold was too much, other times I love that aspect.

      Delete
    13. Fall 20 black cocoon coat has gold zippers! I just checked mine! If that helps! It’s a very nice coat too! I have not worn it but it looks nice!

    4. Hooray! I thought that was going to happen. Sounds like a nice color combination.

Today I called up and ordered the cashmere sweater dress that was cancelled on me in August for $33. Don't need one more dress, but this will be a WFH cozy outfit. Plus I guess it will never really be out of style. I actually ordered another sweater dress during the last 72% off sale sale, a popback, but that one can be worn as a duster as it's midi length with buttons.

  29. I got one over the summer too, it was on backorder for a while but it shipped in August. It’s holiday 2019. I do like it. It does not weight 10lbs like my older down version! Will have to see if it’s warm!

  31. I received the collared merino wool sweater in ring print, and it is a love for me. It isn't at all thin, and it is very soft. I ordered the XS, and I am 5'3", 100 lbs., 34B. I have a little room to spare but not too much. The only thing some may not like about it is that it's pretty short. I'm fine with that because I planned to wear it with some pants that have a very high waist. This was from the most recent roll out, and it is now showing sold out. That sort of baffles me.

    2. A lot of ppl mentioned the ring print sweater as one of their faves from the new rollout, so maybe that's why it's sold out? Or it's sold out until JC refreshes their inventory at the warehouse. I highly doubt it's actually sold out.

    4. Also purchased the leafy tiger print PJs and they are sold out in all sizes. Wonder if they will release as gifts later this month. PJ run TTS, I got XS, a bit large for me but will keep since they might shrink. The print is very holidays and the top is too large to wear out.

    5. @kikigrl I really wanted the leafy tiger print pjs could not believe they already sold out, I hope they restock thanks for the fit info I was thinking I could wear the top with jeans but sounds like it won’t work

    6. Hello Dana, I sized up one size recommended by True Fit. I prefer a looser PJ pant fit. If I took XXS the top would probably work better. The cleavage is a bit low for my work, but I could see one layering over grey sweater or long sleeve Tee. The print is similar to the green jungle-cat print from 2018, but with navy in background.

  32. Sorry I’m posting here as vent. I’m sure you all have probably seen the new graphic tees with France,Switzerland and Roma on them . Here it goes, Ski Holidays in Switzerland cute tee except one gross mistake. There is no Mt Matterhorn, it’s called the Matterhorn, Liberte’ Chamomix downright ridiculous, and lastly the Benvenuto a Roma which lists all the areas and the words so much more. Why list so much more. Come on Jcrew what on earth were your designers thinking. Are you trying to make people look foolish? This is bad as a tourist strutting around Paris wearing a beret attempting to look French. Create some beautiful tees as you did years ago.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. i do not own any of the graphic tee's . never my thing. is it still a "thing"?

      Delete
    2. @Unknown, yes, they are still “thing”. From high end to low end they’re out there and are quite popular to some. Some are very nice and can be paired with lots of items. I myself purchased many a Jcrew. They had nice designs, lettering was nice as was the fabric. Donald Robertson and Hugo Guinness designed some great ones for Jcrew. Pati de Saint Barth designed some nice ones as well.
The ones I liked I purchased in triplicates and still wear them. The last ones I purchased from Jcrew were the Montauk tees from a year ago and this year. I like the type face. The shark one from this year is cute too and received a lot of compliments from people asking where I purchased it. I think I should stop here:)

      Delete
    3. This has been going on for years. Wellfedfred (who has recently returned to the JCA page, what a delight to see you here again WFF!) has been humorously tracking these mistakes for quite some time (both on the graphic tees and the hilarious product descriptions from the infamous Copywriter From Space). Europeans are just as guilty for wearing t-shirts with ludicrously bad English . . . the French brand Chipie has put out some really doozies since the 1980s/1990s. I am actually considering both Switzerland tees as I adore the country and miss travel. The next time you post an offer for a ride on your private jet to Monaco, Lynn, I'll be taking you up on it!

      Delete
    4. I'm not a fan of graphic tees unless it's part of a pajama set, but I thought it was weird that so many short sleeve tees had winter/ski themes instead of on knits or long sleeves. I personally find errors on tees to be unintentionally funny.

      Delete
    5. @Corry, yes the offer still stands. If we got a few of us Jcrew fanatics together we could call it the Jcrew Express:) I would so much enjoy meeting many of you here. Some of the nicest, kindest, & funniest. Apologies for the crazy rant earlier. Yes, I’m well aware the Europeans put crazy things on their tees that make absolutely no sense but they wear them, enjoy them so that’s all that matters.

  33. Thank you everyone for your feedback on the gray chateau parka. Everyone made such great points! It is warm and absolutely beautiful. I’m going to think on it for a few weeks before deciding. I started looking at images of others wearing this coat with bags with gold hardware and it didn’t seem like it clashed. I do love the coat so much!

Also, thanks for the everlane info. I received the cashmere mockneck and it’s a no. The cashmere is itchy and I know I won’t wear something itchy. I generally don’t have an issue with cashmere so I’m stumped. Back to the drawing board in finding a great ivory cashmere sweater!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oh no, sorry to hear that about the sweater, I agree with not wearing itchy! I’m annoyed at Everlane myself as the relaxed white air shirts were not relaxed (just fit) and I sent them back the following day and they didn’t apply instant credit. I’ve now sent two emails and a DM and have not gotten a response. This is my first bad experience with a return.
I’m contemplating the new cashmere crewneck from Everlane (I think you got the turtleneck) because I’m finding it really difficult to find chunky sweaters which are my fave. My Everlane chunky wool crewneck and turtlenecks are constantly worn and starting to look it after several years.

    2. Liz, have you looked at Club Monaco? Their cashmere is remarkably good, just luscious - and far softer than JCrew’s imo.

      Delete
    3. Speaking of cashmere, the sale heather wisteria crewneck I ordered arrived yesterday. It is scratchier than I anticipated and while I would probably not have purchased it had I touched it in store, I am happy to keep it because the color is beautiful and the fit is great. Certainly glad for something new and in such a cheerful shade, which is not always easy to find.

2nd Club cashmere. The cost is now prohibitive to me, but the pieces I have are nearly 10 years old and still going strong.

  34. I love the boyfriend blazer AQ232 .. those colors! It looks like vintage Aquascutum. Now do I order it now or wait for a better deal on this mystery October 23-25 window? These pricing games are so frustrating!
I received the ring print sweater skirt AR493, tts. 85% merino, nice weight to it. Just can't decide if I will keep or not since it's very much a Nov to Feb kind of item and I would need tights and slip when wearing. I always THINK I will wear skirts in Winter, then when it's truly winter and COLD (Michigan) I never want to.

I saw Jason Tuesday, I ordered the yellow butterfly print shirt with corduroy pants..and we had a great convo. Will tell them you referred me as well! Now, I am currently on my hunt to get my favorite blazers at the best price.

  37. Got the long sleeve cashmere sweater in Wisteria like Cheri. TTS although I agree not as soft as my older cashmere from JCrew. I also got the grey cashmere tee (short sleeved K9931). Also TTS but a thinner, softer cashmere. Great weight for in between seasons and layering. I grabbed a leopard vintage tee and the puff sleeve sweatshirt in the hot pink. I sized up in the sweatshirt bc I wanted it more slouchy and the bottom hem definitely allows it to be (not an elastic band). I love the bright color and can’t wait to wear it throughout the gray winter months.

    1. Yay! Good report, glad you’re pleased. Bummed I missed out on the tees but so happy to hear they’re soft.

    2. I also got the wisteria cashmere sweater but I've yet to try it on. I always wear a silk cami under my sweaters no matter how soft/itchy they are. Has anyone tried to wash cashmere in hair conditioner? I've done with with really itchy wool sweaters and it does work to soften the fibers, not never tried with cashmere.

      Delete
    3. To answer my own Q, I found this below from Marie Claire UK. I'm going to try to wash the itchy cashmere in conditioner!

      Can you use fabric softener?
Fabric softener is not recommended for cashmere! The ingredients will flatten the surface structures, and the clothes will wear out. If you want to do something good for your cashmere piece, use a commercially available hair conditioner.

    4. eeps that's how I wear mine too. I don't even try to wash mine at home as I'm no domestic laundry goddess. I just make a dry clean pile and take it when it gets large enough.

      Delete
    5. eeps, I've done that with itchy Shetland wool sweaters and it did help make them softer. Never tried with cashmere! Curious how it works out!

    6. I swear by laundress cashmere shampoo! Bottle can last 2 yrs! Wonderful wash either by hand or machine
Key is put same colors, in one wash! Lay out on towel to dry. No shrinkage and very soft. I just pulled out my pile of cashmere sweater that I washed over the summer and they all look brand new! Super soft!

I ordered 2 T-shirts with rewards earlier this week... it would of been few dollars less... but with rewards they were $2 out of pocket!
Still thinking about the pointelle cashmere sweater...
      great deals overall!!

  40. Prices are a give away. Hard to believe. I ordered giraffe dress too. Also picked up sequin stripe skirts in both colors, striped chambray cover up, tiered maxi dress in stripe and lodge moccasins in snowy Stewart tartan. Saw more items, but decided against them.

    1. So glad you got the slippers, my size was gone and hoping a JCA was about to purchase!

    2. I know, giveaway prices! Geez! I shouldn't have checked JCA this morning :D. I was putting things in my cart just to see how low the prices were...(wisteria swishy pleated skirt, I'm never gonna wear that so I took it out, but like $15! And they had tall sizes too.). I did grab the collared cashmere sweater in mint - $32! Also a cotton Jackie in the kelly green for layering under blazers and 2 of the vintage cotton tank tops, they're my favorite tanks. My whole cart was like $55.

    3. But the 4" chino shorts are still full price. In October.

    4. I kept an eye on those 4" shorts for a long time... Hoping they'd be included in a promo but I just gave up. Now that it's colder out, forget it.

    5. @Cheritheberry, thank you! I have a few pairs of the mocassins and really like them. So, since I'm gonna be home, thought I'd be comfy. Also, picked up a few more things this morning: tall tiered cotton voile floating sunflowers dress, oversized cashmere v-neck sweater in heather camel, and palm print boyfriend cardigan; an IG buddy paired the cardigan with sequin pants that had the pink sequin flowers from spring.

      Delete
    6. Received featherweight ribbed cashmere t-shirt in heather acorn and black. Fit tts; cashmere is soft & the ribbing is a nice detail. Paired with older J Crew Italian cashmere cardigans and both worked. Also, tried the black with a couple of Vince cashmere cardigans and they match. So, have some options for cooler temps. I would recommend purchasing if you can snag a popback.

  42. I ordered the snowy Stewart plaid pajamas for myself and my girls and slippers for 3 of us.
My silk pants will be here today but now an extra 20 percent off, so I may size down and give the first pair to a daughter if they’re loose. also got the silk collection bow sleeveless top which kind of showed up on sale this week and the silk blend leopard button collar sweater because although I sometimes find leopard difficult to wear I love the retro vibe.
Some of what I ordered previously is not available (popbacks) so I can’t be too disappointed about paying more, aside for the silk pants. The wide leg linen pants at about $10 are a great deal, I’m contemplating sizing up to wear them on my hips.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Btw I don’t really own pajamas but I sized up to medium because I would rather them be loose. Going to check men’s pajamas now,

      Delete
    2. I always order up a size for JC pajamas. Usually the top is too tight in my usual size in the shoulder area. But then when I order the size up, the bottoms are always too big. Thank goodness for drawstring.

      Delete
    3. The medium will be huge but I’d prefer that. Too bad I couldn’t get a set for my husband too.

      Delete
    4. My silk pants arrived. I ordered my larger size, and they fit loose but not too loose. With the fabric being drapey, I'll say I like the loose fit. Plus falling lower on my hips means they actually reach the ground and can be worn with a low heel.

I always size up in pj's for baggy comfort too!

      Delete
    5. Thanks for the report! My mail hasn’t arrived yet and I was wondering if you got yours. Are they shiny?

      Delete
    6. They are shiny, in a silk way, not in a latex way. I would wear them as daywear, or you could dress it up.

  44. OMG I bought so much. I'm so glad I hesitated the last few days even though I thought the prices were good, I just didn't have that extra oomph to get me to click the buy button. I got:
    giraffes dress
belted tunic dress (I already own the other colorway)
floral blockprint swim bottom (to match the cropped rashguard I bought this summer)
    gold capri sandals
    vintage NYC tee
sweater jacket with fringe (bc I saw it on Alexis' IG and it looked so freakin' good)
    black lace cami
    Ratti lilac dress

ugh... i wasn't supposed to buy any more clothes or shoes for the rest of the year...

Anyway, I will rewrite part of it, w/o exact prices b/c I don't feel like looking them up again... I agree; amazing deals this am:

      * liberty ciara print ruffle collar shirt was $32ish;
      * striped ruffle collar shirt was $22ish:
      * tiered popover dress in leopard dot was $10-ish (!!!);
      * tiered popover dress in ratti safari was $13ish;
      * jogger pajama pants (with pockets!) were $22ish;
      * plaid pajamas were $9ish (!!!);
      * leopard cashmere cardigan was $28ish.

    3. Lofty indeed! I set a limit for my annual spend at JC in January and I busted through that by September, so I told myself I wasn't allowed to buy anymore. I am not a good self-listener.
The belted tunic dress runs big. I bought it in one size up this summer thinking my quarantine weight gain would fill it, but it's still big. So today I bought my usual size. It does look great though - I wore it to visit friends in Seattle over Labor Day weekend when it was still warm there and got lots of compliments.

    4. Sold! I bought it for $12.80. Thank you eeps!!

    5. Okay, so I didn't buy it...because my card wouldn't go through. I pay my balance in full every month so I was curious and called Comenity. They said there is a maximum of 6 transactions per day. I have never heard of such a thing!

      Delete
    6. That sounds bizarre - a store credit card that limits the number of purchases you make?? Isn't the point of a store cc to entice you to spend more at that store??

      Delete
    7. That's nuts! Another strike against Comenity.

      Delete
    8. @Cheri, Call Jcrew directly and complain, Jcrew has a Dept. that deals directly with Comenity. I had a problem with them charging me for things I didn’t even order, not crediting the correct amounts etc some months ago. They’re a nightmare to deal with. Good luck!!

      Delete
    9. I didn’t believe it and called back and was told the same thing. A supervisor then told me the same thing, it can not be reversed and is in place “for a variety of reasons”. When I politely asked what the variety of reasons were, he told me for security. I replied that I had just confirmed all my information including social security number so surely that should suffice. No, he said there is no way to reverse it.

Never in my life have I experienced this. Thank you for letting me vent. I’m too annoyed to call again, Lynn. I do remember when you were going through that and am glad it was finally resolved! They were like talking to robots.

    11. I know, we used to get similar deals. I've never seen a company that ships to Canada exclude them from promos offered in the US.

      Delete
    12. @Cheri - Wow, that's too bad. Maybe you could talk CS into honoring the discount & charging a different card? After all they know you have a card.

@Eeps, I ordered the Ratti lilac dress too, though it's far from my usual style. But the reviews here were so positive I decided to try.

Maybe this will be the year I start up on Poshmark...

      Delete
    13. @Cheri, I am so sorry to hear about the outcome. I realize you must be exhausted and furious from all of this BS but I asked if you had spoken with Jcrew’s dedicated team that works with Comenity. If so, you would have spoke with 2 individuals from each side. Ask to speak with a supervisor on the highest tier at Comnity. There 3 tiers. Keep Jcrew on the line. Tell them what happened, see what you get for an answer. Threaten them with a complaint about going to the BBB. Fight this you deserve specific answers. To all others here, I discovered they raised my credit limit and this was involuntary on my part. Check your limit. They will your credit without your knowledge. Mine is high as it is more than 10k but they raised it another 5K! I don’t spend anywhere near these amounts. Absurd. I furiously sent them a message and complained and told them this was not a request on my part. I also complained to Jcrew directly. I filed a consumer complaint with them through the BBB recently. This so called Bank is so unethical. Good luck. Another send a barrage of messages thru Comenity. You will have a paper trail.

  46. Pleated wide-leg pant in silk twill
    Item AQ520
No idea where some of the reviews come from. Honestly. I’m thin but curvy, proportionate (about 10” waist to hip difference) and my larger pant size fits perfectly. I was hoping for a looser fit so I may go ahead and order a size up as well. One person said the pants were balloon like and I don’t find that at all. You can actually adjust the waist with little tabs and buttons with hidden elastic. Someone also said they are shiny and I’d say they look like a typical silk sheen, not like a shimmery acetate. They’re light but lined and a very classic pleated pant. The 0 fit basically how the model wearing the pink looks except I have a little more length. I am 5’6” and wear 24 in skinny jeans (25 in boyfriend jeans which I like looser) and 0/00 in pants usually. Mine need to be steamed but everything usually does.
At the sale price they are a steal.

    1. Glad you like them too. I was happy with the price I paid, and agree the current sale price is very low.

I like the loose fit, and would call them TTS for wide leg pants. Maybe for people with a straighter figure it is too much.

      Delete
    2. I ordered the size up too. This just fits, I like them up high but I think wider in the hips and being able to tighten the waist will be flattering.

      Delete
    3. Well your daughter may steal the first pair anyway.

    4. Not sure they would fit. My girls have teeny waists but might need a size up in these.

    5. My only complaint is the front pockets are big and lie funny. I may need to steam them inside out to fix that. Prob no one besides me will notice but that drives me crazy.

    1. I got this in black in my normal size. TTS but I just rec'd it today so no idea about quality of cashmere. Fabulous price though. I had all colors in my bag, but then thought about it and realized I know I wear solid sweaters more than this type so only ended up getting the black...

    2. @Unknown, I purchased my regular size and I didn’t like it. It was too fitted in the bust. I’m a 34D though and thin. This is only my opinion for myself. Here’s a suggestion, if you see something online that you have doubts about purchase it, come back here and ask questions. You have one hour to cancel if you receive plus or minus feedback. Everyone here is so helpful. Other idea is to contact a VPS if you see enough inventory. They may have exact measurements for some of these items.

  48. Recommend the beach sweaters if you can get them in your size, as they are great little pullovers when it gets a little chilly (spring, summer, fall, and indoor ac in winter). In the $20ish range today.

Also recommend the pull on pants, which I have in ratti safari and paisley ($20ish or less today) even tho they are poly, which I normally do not buy (prefer natural fibers that breathe), and I just bought the SILK giraffe print today for around $20.

I love paisley and I love pink/red/orange combo but I do not like rust so I did not buy anything else in this print, both bc the color seemed like rust online and bc I know I will wear poly only at home (where I can change out if it gets hot). Pajama pants are super cute tho, with pockets, and great for WFH wear where you just need to look presentable enough to go to the grocery or answer the door.

  49. The lack of love for Canadian customers is obscene. I went to the site today for the first time in months. Thought the Parke houndstooth blazer in pink and mustard was awesome, but not for $259 on final sale. Just to see, I changed over to the US site and just bought it for $56! That’s a disgusting difference!

    2. @thatdamngreendress, I am so disappointed in the price differences. I too had placed a blazer, boots etc in my cart and when switching to US site difference is $150-$200 per item. Totally insane and unfair!
How do you use a freight forwarder? Any idea of cost?
I used to ship items to a UPS store at the US border and pop over to pick them up. The store says they’ll hold packages but I’m worried about how long the border will be closed.

    3. I have only used Shipito once so far, so I don’t know all the ins and outs, but the website is fairly user friendly- right now I have a bunch of books coming from separate abebooks sellers- I can plug in all the details and tracking info per package on shipito’s site and they’ll combine when ready. There’s a shipping calculator. I think my box will be about 35 or 40 US total, which is better than paying $30-40 per book!!
I get that Canada is not profitable for J Crew but at least go back to shipping to us from your US site so we can pay the same sale prices as everyone else! (sort of wishing I’d gone nuts ordering stuff cheap cheap cheap but also happy I stuck with just the blazer and a men’s floral shirt for 6 bucks!)

      Delete
    4. Thank you so much for the info! I’ve considered using a forwarder since the border has been closed but was worried about getting charged duty when packages arrive. Considering we pay $14 shipping and much higher prices to begin with, you’d think they could at least give us promos. I feel “taken” by the prices I’ve paid in comparison but I can’t quit JCrew darn it.

    2. Yeah, I passed on that dress, but only because I was afraid the shoulders/arms would be too small based on reviews. I would wear it anywhere, including WFH. It would work with leggings or tights for cool weather. I have one drop waist dress, it's black silk with white spots, from J Crew a couple years ago. Not my usual style, but I love that dress worn with black leggings and a pair of loafers. In fact I wore it this week.
