  1. Sales Alert, make sure the additional CARDLOVE applies to your orders. I had to call customer service early this morning to have them recalculate all of my items. The numbers additionally didn’t add up and I had to read him the fact that the offer could be combined. He also checked and initially gave me the runaround. He cleared it up immediately.

    1. I was wondering. I had a few items in my cart but they were still more than they were two days ago (even with the 20 percent) so I’m holding off for now.

    2. @Lynn, how is your dog doing? Hoping he’s much better already.

    3. @jan, thanks so much for asking. Much better and they aren’t going to remove his spleen. No tumor in liver, only enlarged so med for this. He will be released tomorrow. Have you found anything of interest on sale this morning? Hope you’re well and stay well. I hope they won’t have to shut everything down again in certain area. Worry about everyone overall. They’re throwing out stiff fines in Italy for example. Should do it here too. Worry about Jcrew and other retailers. Have a very nice day. Don’t know what part of Canada you’re in but I thought about you as I was flying into the U. S the other day and flew along parts of Canada’s coast:)

    4. Glad to hear he’s on the mend @lynn!

    5. That’s such great news, Lynn! I’m sure you’re excited for tomorrow! A relief I’m sure.

Canada doesn’t have any promos, it’s been a while sadly. I hope they have one online for us soon. Although we never seem to get more than 30% off. The closest big city to me is Ottawa in Ontario.

Safe travels back with your little patient.

    7. @jan, how annoying about the lack of sales for my Canadian friends. It’s not as if you were out in Hong Kong or even Europe for that matter. By the way and this applies to everyone FedEx, UPS and DHL will be raising their rates as of Jan1st. Wonder if Jcrew will raise theirs. Jan, I have a friend who lives outside of Ottawa. Very pretty area and very nice people. Thank you again for the good wishes for my little patient and thinking of me as well. Hope you stay safe and well and enjoy the JCrew launch next Tuesday. This will be a big one so I was told. If I receive and previews before then I will post here.

  2. Heads-up: Factory has a new boot called the Rory which is a close dupe of Madewell’s Regan (especially in black leather).

  3. If you're looking for the silk giraffe pants @ $14.99, Northpark Dallas currently has multiple sizes available.

  5. A little OT but just out of curiosity, how many folks are now working back at your office/workplace or have been told they will soon (October/November/December)? Mine hasn't but my boss today dropped a hint that we may have to return in November. I had held off buying any new fall/winter clothes until I knew I would actually use them, so I didn't even look at the last JC rollout.

    1. My WFH is officially approved through EOY, but no word about what'll happen in January.

    2. I’m a private school teacher and have been back since the school year started in August. My H is an engineer and is WFH indefinitely. They allow people to come in, but most have chosen to stay home.

    3. I have my own company and I work from home or at my office as do my employees if they wish. We have all been COVID tested, take extraordinary precautions and my employees prefer human contact thus I leave it up to them. They’re much happier being around other people as I think most humans are. I am aware that this can’t be achieved in many places and keeping fingers crossed for a vaccine.

    4. I'm WFH until at least the end of 2020. But I have a feeling that's going to be extended. And even then, I think they'll be way more accommodating for flexible schedules.

    5. We are WFH through 2020 but I expect it to be extended at least in to spring and when we do go back I highly doubt that it'll be five days a week. And when we do go back it'll be interesting to see how dressy people get for work after months of WFH casual. I expect I'll be parting with a lot of my formal work wardrobe but I'm not quite ready to do it yet.

I miss people too! I like the flexibility but I miss leaving the house and the work socializing.

  6. Does anyone know how you can order something directly from a store and get it shipped to your home? I tried calling a store and the reps said they don’t do charge sends. Does anyone know of a few stores which do?

    1. Thats weird - I've NEVER had a store refuse a charge-send. Did you tell them you're a Rewards member?

    3. Thanks all. I called back the same store and finally reached someone who said that they do charge sends. I was able to get a pair of the silk giraffe easy pants for $15.

    4. A few years ago, a SA in one of the NYC stores called the Short Hills store for me, and was told JC doesn’t do charge-sends for security reasons. v. irritating. We concluded she didn’t know how, or didn’t want to be bothered. .

  7. Weirdness again: I just got a $10 off code to celebrate my "half birthday." I never got a BIRTHDAY code this year from my actual birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  8. @eeps. Wow that’s a new one. Did you call CS to complain you never received a 15% code? If so perhaps this is their way of accommodating you. Mention you never received a birthday code too. All these codes can be stacked. Good luck and a belated Happy Birthday

    1. Oh, it's OK. I don't begrudge getting codes. Prices are so low now that 15% off seems negligible.

    2. I get it, but I’m a cheapskate when looking for a discount.

    3. I am too. Last year I would have been more upset. This year, I'm like.. let's throw them a bone; they need all the $ they can get.
