  1. I can't see any photos on the Madewell web site. Is anyone else having this problem? J. Crew web site is fine for me. It's like this with both Chrome and Safari, yesterday and today, after reboot.

    1. Same here yesterday, but seems to be fixed now

    2. Thanks! I'm still not able to see any new arrivals.

    3. Chatted with MW, they say it's a known problem and they're working on it. Not great, I'm not going to buy anything sight unseen. Maybe next week I'll get a look at their new arrivals.

  2. So what do you think? All I will say is that I hope the 27th is better. Disappointed is an understatement.

    3. I do like the vintage pjs in leafy tiger print.

    4. Yes, disappointing. I saw a blazer (AQ240) that looked attractive to me: "Collection Boyfriend Blazer in Italian Jacquard Wool," but under product details it says "cotton, acrylic, poly, polyamide." Which is it?

    5. Nothing of interest for me.

  3. I thought this was a big winter launch, per previous comments?

    1. @k, this is what I was told by my VPS. She also explained the company keeps them just as much in the dark these days as they do with customers even with misinformation. I feel so bad for them. As for myself, I don’t care.

    2. That is so dumb. If you expect to sell stuff, don't tell your sales reps wrong information... They'll tell their customers that wrong info and then customers get pissed off.

  4. Agree with others - big disappointment. I was hoping for new sweaters and a couple of new tops.

  5. This was only a fall launch. I do like some of the new color ways of previously released items, I was disappointed. I clicked on their new gift section expecting, as in past years, cute and new winter items.

  6. I always find something that I like. Collared sweater in ring print. Really like the print and happy to see 100% merino wool. The new jungle cat print reminds me of an old Drake version that I have. So, it's a pass for me, but I like the print. Happy to see a few new Thomas Mason shirts; the burgundy/navy stripe is a nice option for WFH & Zoom meetings. No purchases for me right now since I picked up 100% cashmere and wool from Eileen Fisher during a recent, super sale; items were similar in price or less expensive than J Crew.

    1. I did like that sweater and hope that it is not too thin and boxy. It says "fitted," but so many sweaters have been way too wide on me.

    2. Collared sweater in ring print looked promising to me until I saw the 21” length. That’s way too short for my long torso. 😣

    3. SAME!! Remember back in the day when J Crew catered (IMO) to taller gals? I feel like the opposite is true now. I’m 5’8ish and things used to be long on me. Now, with my long torso everything is cropped. ugh!

    4. I am strangely drawn to that ring print wool skirt! What a unique yet classic looking print. I may pull the trigger since at least if I try it now I can return it. As someone else noted, they mark stuff down to final sale way too fast these days.

  7. I'm ambivalent about the latest drop; can they stop with the sweatshirts already? It's so lazy. A sweatshirt lasts forever - how many do we really need? I do like the collared sweater in ring print as well. It's very fall. I think it would look great with the new jungle cat print. The colors of the new print also remind me of an old Drake print - the bengal cat? It was one of my favorites, but once again - how many silk easy pants with animals do I need?? I think I'm up to 6-7 pairs already - I have the Drake's, the Piamata, and probably every print since they started doing the jungle cats, plus the giraffes. Soon all of my bottoms will be silk easy pants and my coworkers will wonder if I only own silk pj pants.

    1. yes.
too many redo's and not enough new "wow" items.

    2. LOL @eeps. I’ve only bought the roaming tiger silk shirt out of all the past animal prints. Some I regretted not getting.

  8. Also disappointed. Where are the new Tippi colors?!?!?! Another favorite being slowly and sneakily discontinued. The jungle cat print is cute but a direct reissue of the items AC373 and AB647, which, if I recall also had somewhat thinner quality silk. Would it kill them to think of some different shapes to mix in if you’re going to reissue the same print? A midi slip skirt, a non-buttondown V-neck blouse, etc. Also, can we talk about the travesty that is item AR477?

  9. Nothing I have to have for sure. I too thought the jungle cat print looked familiar as others have pointed out. I liked the cable knit button back sweater but it looks too short for me.
There’s a pair of poly PJs (called the new drapey) that is $173 Cdn that is insane. At first I thought they were silk. Still no promo for Canada, hope they do something for our Thanksgiving this weekend.

    1. Very little caught my eye...was hoping for more holiday items...they always release too late. Love the look of back sweater but I think it’s too short,...most of their sweaters/sweatshirts have been too short/boxy for me lately.

    2. I can’t wait for holiday items either! Personally I just want to think of Christmas season and look forward to 2020 being done lol.
I can’t wait to see some plaid, tartan, fair isle etc.

    3. Speaking of PJs, i do love the vintage pajama set in the navy tiger print (AS207).

    4. I like those PJs, too & also the leopard print ones. J Crew PJs are my fave but boy have they gotten expensive!

    5. I love their vintage pjs, wear a pair every night pretty much. I really like those tiger ones, agree the price is too high now. Almost $150 Cdn.

    6. Those navy tiger print PJs are great! What pretty colors too. But a 26.5" inseam?

  10. It reminds me of 2008-12 or so. I see variations of the ruffly tuxedo shirts I wore under blazers with riding boots or other knee high boots. Nothing offensive but nothing I must have. The ribbed mockneck sweater would have potential for me but it looks horrible in the back, especially obvious on the olivey green color.

  11. This is a vent. I understand why they are doing final sale, and I want them to thrive and survive. The problem, as I see it, is that things are going to FS quickly with not that much of a markdown, and I haven't been able to try them.

    1. So true. And not great model pics (if any), no detailed measurements, it’s difficult to spend more than a nominal amount on final sale stuff.

      Delete
    2. I completely agree - I would love to try a pair of boots that just hit sale - but final sale and no reviews on sizing means I won't purchase

  12. I visited today. Honestly the store didn’t look much different than the last time I was there. Pants hanging in the officey looking section still not steamed. Didn’t see any new arrivals In store although there were people putting out clothes, it looked like what I’ve already seen.

    Same with MADEWELL.

I’m sure there are some things different but they’re not styled or displayed in any way that caught my attention.

  13. Meh. I bought 2 of the VOTE shirts since half the $$ goes to a good cause (When We All Vote). I haven't worked from work since mid-March, so I have very little motivation to add to my closet.

  14. OT. Has anyone seen or tried Ruffle mockneck sweater with pointelle stitch. I’ve been looking at it for a few weeks. I can’t tell if the ruffle would be cute or I’d look like a clown. I’m always looking for slightly diff sweaters to wear with jeans or black pants and this could be cute. Or not.
