Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew thisa {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. ‘Visited’ the website. Used the 15% off for Rewards members and COFFEE. They can be combined and my total came to something like $65, but when I placed my order the COFFEE promo disappeared and I was charged $115!! Needless to say I was not amused. Shot off a mail to CS asking to correct this. Anyone else have this happen?

    1. That's terrible! By the way, where do I find the 15% off code for Rewards members?

    2. fleur - that happened to me too, and CS adjusted with a quick phone call
lea - if you log in, it is automatic

    3. @p glad I’m not the only one! But really, how difficult can it be to process two codes at the same time ?!?!

    4. I have same question as Engineer Lea - where do Rewards members find the 15% off code? Thanks!

    5. shopalot - if you log in it is automatic

    7. Not automatic for me in mock checkout :/

    8. The 15% off is a one time coupon for new rewards members only right?

    9. It is automatic if you "sign in" not one time, but ends soon

    1. I was hoping this meant they would have a new promo or new sale or something, but no, nothing new on the website.

    2. Same, just to keep it interesting, not that I want to buy anything at this point.

  3. Everlane just released a carpenter pant. All cotton. I've never tried their wide leg crops or other cotton pants, the acetate and wool pants I tried weren't great. I'm not sure if I love or hate this, but I feel like I'd probably like Dickies painters pants in a men's 30 better for a slouchy take on the same look. Not going to do it because I will most definitely regret it but for some reason I like the style.

Also, found these on Poshmark a collection pant from 2013 style 05846. I remember liking the style when they came out. These say NWT but it's not the correct tag AT ALL. The tag is a one Size tag from factory.

    1. I just went over to look at the pants. Based on the back, I like them a lot. However, I don't like the pictures modeled showing the front. Those dreaded wrinkles pulling up from the crotch. Also the rise looks very high? Of course, I would wear them oversized...

AS for Poshmark, that's awful. Wonder what the seller was thinking!

    2. I've seen the wrong tag thing too... I wonder if it's just a general tag from a sample sale or something.

    3. &suz I found a few Collection gems at Factory last year and though they had a Factory price tag they definitely were Collection items (featherweight cashmere, Ratti print pants etc). The clothes had the Collection label swen inside. So every time I’m in a Factory store I’m on the lookout!!

    4. Cher, do you mean the Everlane ones? If so I agree they show them too tight.

Interesting about factory tags on collection items. Has anyone seen those pants IRL? I remember liking them when they came out but wasn’t interested in ivory or navy. I’m trying to embrace more white/ivory in my life and these are tempting me.

    5. Sorry I'm repeating myself. Didn't sleep well and don't want to drink too much caffeine today!

    6. Well I posted a comment to the seller asking questions so we will see if she responds.

  4. Thank you to those who posted the in store $19.99 clearance. I don't have a local store anymore however we had plans that took us to the King of Prussia mall. I went on Saturday night and the mall was empty and J. Crew emptier. There were only two people looking through the racks with me. They still had a decent amount of stuff. No coats but everything else. I tried on three times more than I bought. I ended up getting the tinsel tweed going out blazer, a burgundy silk J Crew 365 blouse, a harper crossbody bag and the black velvet seavees. I talked myself out of the only ok things as I knew it would be a waste of money in the end. The woman behind me said I am sorry but I have to ask.. you just got those four thing for $56. I also had rewards so it was even cheaper. I returned one item as well so spent zero out of pocket. I am glad I was able to restrain myself. In the past I would have left with a giant bag of items.

    1. Question: Did anyone purchase a Swarovski crystal dot necklace for $19.99 over the weekend? If so, would you let me know which color(s) were included in the sale? They were ringing up regular price at my store. I was very disappointed as I wanted one, but not for regular price!

    2. Great grabs Jess!!
Shopalot, if that is the one where it is a large solid line of stones, Short Hills had it in red, definitely.

    3. Short Hills Did have red and Maybe one magenta/fuchsia I believe. Note: I didn't get a price check but they were in the same sales area as the 19.99 stuff.

I'm a little envious of all of you who scored the Harper cross body.

    4. Yes - both the magenta and red Swarovski necklaces were in the sale area. I asked the SA to check the price to see if they were included in the $19.99 sale and they did not ring up at that price. You would think the prices would be the same across the country.

    5. I purchased a red Swaroski crystal dot necklace for 19.99 from the Westfield San Francisco Center store. This was on Friday. They also had the necklace in blue and light pink in the sale section and marked down with the 19.99 redline.

    6. Thanks all, if anyone sees the gray Swarovski necklace on sale, please let me know!

    7. I’m annoyed the discrepancy across JC stores. The 19.99 items should have been the same everywhere - I thought it was anything with the HO18 tag. Someone scored 19.99 wool coats that were regular sale - 199.99 and 299.99 - at my store. Liberty shirts were 19.99 but 79.99 at others. And now these necklaces. Shouldn’t everything have been programmed the same through the point of sale computer system? They shouldn’t have been ringing up differently in random places.

    8. eeps., exactly. Felt goofy asking the SA to check the prices of everything. She clearly did not believe me when I said other stores have the necklaces for $19.99. Fortunately for me, I was the only customer in the store. Seriously, the prices should be the same no matter what store you are shopping at.

  5. Jackie Cashmere Featherweight Cardigan will be re-introduced sometime within the month so I was told. They will be bringing back old archived colors. Yay, finally! Just hope the quality matches the colors. More Liberty prints. A lot of jumpsuits and other items in gingham as well. Suits, suits, suits too. No word about shoes or sandals, odd they have a vacation section without sandals hmm. Guess we just have to wait and see what they kick out. Thanks again to the posters that spread the word for the red line sale. Really appreciated it. I just hope the satellite phone call I had made to Jcrew didn't negate the superb price adjustments:)

    1. I saw Kristy mentioned on Instagram "no price adjustments on previous purchases" for this red line sale. Also no student teacher discount.

  6. I returned several items from two orders almost a month ago and received no response so I emailed with CS last week and they confirmed that they had received all of the items (7 total) and that it would be processed soon. Another ten days later and they emailed to credit me for 3 items and deducted shipping even though I paid for it myself. It's the first time I'm actually livid and am going to call to sort it out AGAIN.

    1. There is really just no excuse for that. I would also be livid. Sorry you have to deal with the sorting out!

    2. I am closing my J Crew account again for the second time. Done with them. Will use Paypal going forward for this very reason. No excuse. It never seems to improve.

  7. OT question: Let's say you're buying a cotton cardigan. You only have these two choices. Would you rather buy...
    a. used/good condition J. Crew main line cardigan
    b. NWT J.Crew Factory cardigan

    1. Depends on fabric content (all cotton or a blend) and if I know a particular style works on me. Also if the seller is well rated and option for returns.

      Delete
    2. Hmmmm... depending on the year, I'd go with A. An old-school cotton blend Jackie may still be in good shape. I've found the cotton Factory cardigans to stretch out quickly.

    3. My choice would be c. LL Bean. I love their cotton sweaters.

      Delete
    4. Factory cotton sweaters wear and launder very poorly IMO.

    5. Would find a new or like one on Ebay or Poshmark, the older better quality ones.

      Delete
    6. @sega61 - as in, new/like new JC mainline, or new/like JC Factory? I'm trying to determine that, if prices and sellers are equal or same, how used JC main line would compare to new Factory when it comes to something like 100% cotton or cotton-blend.

  8. Haven't visited or looked at the site other than to check what the offers are. Not planning to buy. I've done well with NSF. I did get some nice clothes for my son from Goodwill, but just one visit this month so far.

  9. I haven't visited either in store or online. I am however curious to know which purses were part of the $19.99 sale, does anybody know?
I'm loving all of your finds!

    1. I went to three stores and didn’t see a single purse in the red line section. Just make up bags.

    2. Hi Anthro Blogger, I’m not sure how many bags were part of the sale but I know the Harper cross body in snake print was. I bought one yesterday for $21. I saw someone on Instagram post how she got a $400 calf hair bag for $19.99 so idk...
