DeleteI’ll be popping in for a return. I’m taking back the poppy leopard flats. They are a bit snug in the ankle. I tried the pink ones and those were comfortable, maybe even slightly big in the ankle. Too bad because they are cute and the leopard print is a great version - not too dark. The bow tie neck blouse arrives on Monday and I’m super excited for that!

ReplyDeleteA catalogue showed up at a Cdn store! Vancouver. Boring. Definitely catalogue in the Lands End/LL Bean layout style. No longer a Style Guide, not editorial or inspirational production values. Inspirational picture seemed to be limited to wearing 3 Daphne coats layered or gingham socks with Academy loafers.

In store 30% off full price vs the "up to 40%" on multi purchase online. No % off the sale section. Guess shipping to Cda is so slow that no new looking returns making their way onto the sale racks here.
because I return "alot" to Vancouver stores. I can say I have never seen my returns in the sale section or else where. these would be items that sometimes were not even instore previously. so this lead sme to believe they all get shipped back and never kept and put out on the floor.

DeleteInteresting info that none of your returns re-appear on Vancouver store sales racks. I must stop looking - obviously few unicorn gems to find! I have found the odd online item like laser cut beach tunic on an instore sale rack, but now you have pointed it out - little else. One less reason to visit regularly - sad.

DeleteI just placed a massive order. The leopard shift dress is backordered until Dec. 24. What are the odds it will actually arrive? LOL. I am loving so much but I do think the fall catalogue SUCKED. Don't you all wish the style guides came back each month with amazing energy? I used to read my style guides on a daily basis marking the things I liked. Anyway, I ordered the demi boot cut jean with the frayed hem, smoking slippers in snake and the lace ruffle top in lilac. And then the dress that is backordered until the end of time. LOL.

DeleteI stopped in just because I was running some other errands. As GoWest mentioned 30% off FP no %off sale. Not much of interest in store, as overall look is boring and generic right now. Some pretty colors, but nothing I wanted. I noticed a small rack of new arrivals that will be out next week, a colorful pink striped sweater in "supesoft yarn" from last year, and a houndstooth version of the coat that is out now. Maybe some cute things will show up next week, but not sure.

If anyone likes to shop Neiman Marcus, now is a good time with an extra 30% off sale if you purchase 3+ sale items. Picked up some cashmere items by The Row and Vince for 80% off.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for more fall new arrivals to spend my bday gift cards. PSA on another retailer ... if you are near a TJMaxx, check the shoe dept for a rare sighting of Frye boots. Mine had quite a few booties including the famous Harness style in black and a gorgeous stone grey Western style for $99. Can’t say no to that deal.
ReplyDeleteI 2nd TJ Maxx/Marshall's for great deals on boots and shoes. I haven't run across any particularly good deals on Frye boots this year, but I recently purchased a pair of smoke gray A.S.98 Imperial Distressed Ankle Boots for only $39. They're super comfortable and I've already worn them several times. They're currently for sale on freepeople.com for $285 so I'm very happy with the price I paid. At the same time I purchased another pair of nice boots, Gee WaWa Dixie lace up boots, also for $39. Also, if you're lucky, you may be able to score Frye boots on Amazon for under $100, too.

DeleteNo store trips for me this weekend. I am, however, loving the Liberty print Tretorn sneakers I received in the mail this week. They're so cute and comfortable! My shoe racks are overflowing now. I need to pack up some of my older shoes that I'm not wearing and drop them off at Goodwill.
ReplyDeleteOT package delivery story: I had a heavy box from Amazon (canned cat food and cleaning supplies) scheduled for delivery on Friday. Friday came and went with no delivery. I spoke with the carrier on Saturday and, again, no delivery. I called the post office late on Friday afternoon and the woman who answered told me that the box wasn't delivered "because it's heavy." To my astonishment, she confirmed that they didn't plan to ever deliver it. Then, about an hour later, someone from the post office showed up in her personal vehicle with my package, lol. Apparently they finally realized they could get in a lot of trouble for refusing to deliver packages.
Was it Amazon or USPS as the delivery service? Any time I have a heavy box (same thing with cat stuff), it's either misdelivered and I have to go searching thru the apartment complex for it or they mark it as delivered and they actually hold it for another day or two. USPS especially sucks with this.

Miss JR and Kate - It was USPS. I don’t think we have Amazon delivery here. I reported it to Amazon. I don’t want to get anyone in trouble. I just want my packages, lol.
