J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

  1. Holy pop backs. 35 pages of merchandise. May you find the one that got away the first time.

    1. I also saw a few items that I don't remember ever seeing on the website. The wool jackie cardigan with the embroidered birds, for instance. How did I miss that one? It's very pretty and unique but I still reluctantly passed on it as I already have a couple wool jackies from last year and I don't care for the fit. My wool tippi cardigans from several years ago are still in heavy rotation though. Love them.

    2. Definitely a walk through J.Crew’s design history!

  2. My thought for that is with about 40 store closing in the end of January, they shipped all the items back to the headquarter, now they have sorted everything out they are ready to have mega sale! I susoect more sale items in the next few weeks...

  3. Too bad most of the popbacks aren't eligible for any % off...

    1. I noticed that too. I've had a few things in my cart but there hasn't been any percent off any of it so I don't purchase.

  4. I wasn't going to order anything more, but I ended up grabbing the Drake's silk scarf in the orange equestrian pattern. I love the print, but could never justify getting the pajama top and pants, and I think the scarf is sold out in brick and mortar stores here as well.

Would have loved to grab the tiger academy loafers as well, but my size still has yet to popback.

  5. Also, it looks like there's free shipping and handling for the US and Canada today!

    1. Wish the free shipping was for Hawaii too.... J crew is the last major retailer I know that still charges a higher shipping fee for Hawaii ($8) and never offers free shipping (even with $150 purchases). Even White House Black Market gives free shipping to Hawaii.. Oh well, at least my local store seems to be doing well and not closing anytime soon, as I was told..

  6. HUGE sale update, 1800 plus! the leopard top coat is back, for anyone who was looking for it

    1. However the EXTRA50 does not work like the sale last week, the 50% off is extremely selective. I was loading things into my cart and now I'm unloading the ones where the 50% doesn't apply.

      Delete
    2. Yep, what a bummer. Passed on things I otherwise would not have!

      Delete
    3. After I removed the items that weren't 50% off and then really looked at what was left, I decided to buy nothing.

      Delete
    4. Me too, Elizabeth. Of course the leopard topcoat appeared in my size today. No 50% off, no order for me! 👿

      Delete
    5. If the 50% off had applied to all I certainly would have ordered, as a sweater I was looking for popped back. I didn't get a 25% off code either, so with no % off at all, not ordering.

      Delete
    6. I can’t understand why items from 2016 would not qualify for the extra 50% off while holiday 2017 has huge markdowns plus the extra 50%. Strange. On a more positive note things not an extra 50% off have switched back to non-final sale. Late last night I grabbed a gray wool pencil skirt, tulle ruffled Jackie cardigan, tie waist pant in star printed crepe, the sequin floral Tippi and the matching pencil skirt. I also grabbed the black/silver featherweight cashmere gingham cardigan that I had been stalking since I bought the matching shell on super sale last summer. Most of these pieces were not final sale 50% eligible but I was able to use my 15% code. Total $157 before tax!

      Delete
    7. Yes! Why older sale items are more expensive than newer sale items it beyond me. I loaded up my cart than abandoned it after the 50% off applied to one item. After overshopping in January there is nothing that is a must have. Easy decision to sit this out.

      Delete
    8. I am guessing they know that those of us searching for those popbacks would be more willing to nab them even without the extra 50% off, and it seems to be true, because all of those older items I placed in my cart have now been bought, and not by me! Sneaky of them not to have updated the sale section for so many days before the end of the last promo, and dump all these popbacks on us now that we can't enjoy the promo fully!

      Delete
    9. Sale section updated to more than 2050 items just after last promo ended. Was excited until I saw the 50% off promo was limited. Only ordered heather cilantro merino wool open front sweater blazer which is a 3 season option for my climate. For $28 it’s a great price and I like the olive color as a neutral. Sitting the new arrivals out and doing a wishlist. My picks are: Henley stripe tee shirt, Liberty floral Sarah perfect shirt, pin stripe sweatshirt, collarless leather jacket in navy (love that it’s all navy with no silver or gold accents), tie waist cotton dress and embroidered smoking slipper mules. 25% off doesn’t make me order and really no need since most everything I wanted for winter made it to steep discounts. Plus, I was able to order spring/summer items on deep discount. So, while I may not give up shopping in February, there’s not anything I really need/must have. Happy shopping to the JCA’s who find some goodies in new arrivals & in the sale section!

      Delete
    10. Good picks Tara. I love the look of the pin stripe sweatshirt. It looks the model is wearing it with matching (maybe wide leg crop) pants. They are not on the site but look like my style.

      Delete
    11. They got me. I missed out on the tiger easy pants so many times so I had to grab it on popback even without the discount and it’s not really my size. (But close enough) luckily it’s not final sale. But they are not discounting much older things at a larger discount is beyond me. I’d taken the ratti monkey pants off their hands if it were 50% off!

      Delete
    12. @shoppingcelle Thank you! I’ve seen those pants and they’re really cute. I’m sure they’ll reappear.

      Delete
  7. Not many interesting new arrival items, however I am going to purchase the floral pattern mules. They look fairly pretty. Certainly far less expensive than a pair of Gucci leather ones I purchased some months ago. Ok, ok, they're not the same but for the price and using a rewards card I will try them. Note: they're both assembled in China and don't let the Gucci name fool you.

  8. J. Crew, if you really want to help customers, give the actual bust measurement of a particular size for each item. For example, Ralph Lauren with give a bust measurement for a size 8. One can extrapolate from that what size to get. It has saved me many a return. I'm not talking about the size guide, I'm saying measure the bust of the actual item and say what that measurement is.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I am so onboard with you on this topic. I always have to call my VPS about this. I am a 34DD, 5'7/12, thin with long arms and high waisted, and many times I have a problem with ordering tops because of this issue.

      Delete
    2. They don't seem to grasp that we don't like doing returns. It's not fun. If every item in every size was in the store, fine, but it's not. Ralph Lauren had a tweed jacket I was madly in love with. I saw by the bust measurement, it wouldn't work for me. Later it went on sale and I got it for my niece. She says it's her absolute favorite. That bust measurement saved everyone's time.

      Delete
    3. That would be a dream, but the inconsistencies between cuts of ‘same size’ garments would have to be reigned in for it to be accurate. I sadly don’t see that happening any time soon...

      Delete
    4. @Wendy - I'm sure that's part of the reason they don't like to provide garment measurements. As I'm sure we've all noticed, you can try on 3 different pairs of the exact same jeans in the exact same size and they might all fit slightly differently due to inconsistencies in the cutting and sewing processes.

      Delete
    5. Really wish J.Crew would poke around on websites of its competitors to see where improvements should be made. Sigh. Massimo Dutti also provides bust measurements for the actual item aside from the general fit measurements of each category. While Zara doesn’t follow the lead of its older brother in providing specific sizing, the fit estimator is quite accurate and helpful.

  9. First a review: got the subtle boatneck sweater in merino, size XS, black. Fabric is nice and thick, similar. To open front sweater blazer, but fit is awful. Boxy and awkward. I ordered a small also so I'll see if either works. Too bad because for $25 ish it's a nice material, but the cut doesn't work. Even the neckline doesn't lay properly.

Next, same as above, I added a bunch to my cart to end January with a bang, and nothing is coming up 50 off aside from two pair of shoes, so forget it.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Ha I did the same thing. When the 50% only worked for a couple of things, I deleted everything.

      Delete
    2. That's a shame about the sweater. Where did it come from anyway, I feel like it suddenly just appeared on the site in the sale section.

      I refrained as well!

    3. Cheri, YUP! A few items like that just appeared. Crazy. Bet you next week they will be full price. Theydo thag sometimes.

  10. Trying to order a sweater that says 25% off with exclusive code. Haven’t gotten an email yet. Anyone know what this exclusive code is?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They sent codes by email, I got one yesterday. But posters here say they were having difficulty sending them out so if you place an order, call them and they will do a price adjustment after. I think the code is good until Feb 1st but free shipping is today only.

      Delete
    2. I didn't get a code either. I emailed CS, but it is still frustrating to have all these pricing games. Some get codes, some don't, some sale 50% off, some nothing off. Maybe they think this makes some people feel special, but it just ends up making many feel slighted.

      Delete
    3. I didn't get a code either but I emailed them yesterday about it. They replied to just order and they'll adjust the price after. Waiting for confirmation email if the adjustment right now so fingers crossed.

I would have done it in live chat except I couldn't get thru. Even when it opened, I was basically put on hold. :/

      Delete
    4. ugggh... since i used the rewards card for the order, CS has to put in a request for a price adjustment. :/

i'll keep on top of them, but if they're pains about it, then everything gets returned!

  11. I'm not loving the rollout. I see one or two pieces I like but that's it. Is this the J. Crew after Jenna or is there more to come?

    ReplyDelete

    1. new roll out is a total snooze. Nothing good

      Delete
    2. Jenna left April of last year. Somsack quit by summertime. That’s why J.Crew feels so different now. 🙁 Lackluster.

      Delete
    3. The past two roll-outs lack direction IMO (Parisienne but with grey/brown sweaters and blazers?!...they need to look at the Sezane catalogue).
I still have hope in Jcrew. I have tried finding a replacement retailer to take my $$, but no luck so far :(

      Delete
    4. Fashion in general has gone in a different direction than my preferred look. I am not shopping elsewhere to speak of for this reason and the fact that my closet is exploading! I grabbed a few bargains today that can go into spring but probably won’t be buying much more for winter.

      Delete
    5. Forgot to add; I miss Jenna’s unique sparkle!

      Delete
    6. I thought everything changed when the Jenna and Somsack left the company, but then I stepped out of the bubble a little bit. It’s still the same J.crew and the only difference are the models and how they style the clothes (Jcrew doesn’t want to be the cool chic anymore which they’re known for). If Jcrew had use Mona Johansson with natural makeup a little messy hairdo. I would say the clothes would look Jcrew.

      Delete
    7. I have to disagree. I think you even get this more on a retail level. Lyons and Somsack added so much detail. I miss the small things. I don't see how a company can stay relevant without a talented Creative Director. I think they need to hire someone stat.

      Delete
    8. Agree w you, Momjcrew, it’s NOT the same J Crew, and it’s the aesthetic and attention to detail as much as it is the quality issues. No Collection to speak of to “anchor” the aspirational aspect of the brand, all fast fashion styles, all the energy left the building for Madewell, and the only thing that has remained is great customer service.

  12. The older sale items not being 50% baffles me. I started a new job recently that requires me to wear business formal attire more than usual so I have been happy to pick up some suits with the great sale. I picked up the super 120s wool tailored blazer and matching pencil skirt in navy this morning for less than $80.

The new rollout is boring and I think it'll make restraining in February easier. I was happy to see pinstriped suiting shirts though.

On the review side - my boucle lodge coat came while I was away last week and I picked up from UPS last night. I went with the 4 tall - my cocoon coat size is a 4 and I'm a 4/6 in in blazers. I had tried the 4 in the solid lodge coat and it fit but the 4 in the boucle was tight, the 6 was a better fit. I like the 4 tall - the sleeves are a tad long but I don't mind it because no cold is creeping up the sleeves, especially with the extra layer at the sleeve. Temps are pretty cold in the northeast this week so I'm going to give it a spin and see if it fares well in that regard. Fit wise, it's a win.

My order with the everyday cashmere cardigans and calf hair signet bag comes tomorrow.

    1. I do like the Reed wash button fly high waisted jeans. I tried the Daly wash button fly ones and they were a disaster fit wise but these new ones already have several good reviews. I do not need more jeans. I wear my high waisted toothpicks in Prescott wash constantly, those have probably been my best denim purchase this fall/winter.

    2. I really like Brooks Brothers for business clothes. Their regular prices are high, but I've picked up quite a few things on clearance quite inexpensively. Also, the red fleece collection is geared toward a younger customer and is a bit less expensive. Even though I'm far from young, I particularly like those styles.

      Delete
  13. some of the items in sale were def. 50% previously. I know this because I ordered them!!! so why not today? this is just silly.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Because I have no self discipline, I picked up a few more sale items. The cotton pajama set with contrast trim was only $19.49 with the additional 50% off plus I bought several items I've been stalking that never seem to show up in my size. I even bought the Harlow cardigan sweater in star print WITHOUT the extra 50% discount ($29.99). *hangs head in shame* But I passed (again) on the camo foundary pants that I keep adding to my cart and deleting. I have to keep reminding myself that they're really not my style.

On the plus side, I dropped off three huge bags of old faded towels and quilts at the animal shelter yesterday and I plan to make a similar sized drop of old clothes at Goodwill later in the week. It's amazing how I become "clutter blind" to the unused crap crowding my closets, as long as it's clean and neatly folded on the shelves. :P

  15. Sorry for the over posting. Can you tell it is my day off? Is anyone else having difficulty scrolling through pages of the website. I am using an iPhone on mobile site. Sometimes when I am going from say page 2 to page 3 it reloads the page 2 again. At the bottom it says I am on page 3 but the merchandise is exactly the same as page 2. It is hard to buy anything if you can’t find it!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, I've had the exact same issue. It's so annoying. When you click on an item, then try to go back, it's not loading the previous page properly. Try refreshing the page.

      Delete
    2. Yes that’s what I have done and usually just back out and start browsing all over again. Jcrew needs to fix it because it happens so often.

      Delete
    3. Yup. I had the same issue browsing with my iPhone. What I found is that if you hit the back button twice (not once, but twice), it will take you back to the previous page (say page 2) and when you click next again it will show the correct page 3. A little better than having to start all over again, but still annoying.

    4. Yes, thanks aeio2. This happens to me ALL THE TIME. Sometimes I just give up and close out. I take it as a sign that I should stop shopping. :)

  17. More thank you puppy emails....No thanks. But on a brighter note, the 15% off stackable codes they shipped in December and were supposed to expire yesterday - still worked today. I used my VIP 25% + 15% December code last night on the early access. And then today I found a few more items from the new releases (no 25% code again, bummer) that I was able to use another leftover 15% code for. So hopefully those of you with some left didnt' throw them out!

  18. review Request-I’d love to hear from someone who has worn the bow Averys how comfortable they are? I bought them, and find them cute, but during the brief tryon they felt stiff and hard. Any input? Thanks much!

    1. I tried them they don’t soften up returned too bad pretty

      Delete
    2. I almost returned mine because of the insane pointy toe but have found them to be very comfortable - they immediately broke in with the first wear. Also, I get a ton of compliments on them! I tend to need shoes with some sort of support, as my ankles are little wobbly, and the bow has been very helpful in that regard as I can adjust it exactly as I need it - this is a huge plus for me.

      Delete
    3. Oh that stinks. I have them and they felt comfortable enough when I tried them. I have glitter Averys that are super comfortable.

      Delete
    4. Oh, nevermind, I am thinking of the tweed Averys.

      Delete
    5. The black and white tweed Avery with bow runs very big.

      Delete
    6. I took my usual size. Same as Gemma, Sophia pumps, Elsies, and Avery.

I find the round toe higher heels (like Lena) I need to size up 1/2 size. But I don't find these Averys to run any larger than others.

      Delete
    7. Thanks, ladies. I will try on again and hope they work; they are so cute and were a great deal.

    8. Wendy, I found the velvet Averys to take a LONG time to break in. They are rather stiff- I helped things along by applying milk oil leather conditioner to the lining to make it supple.

  19. Review request Liberty Print Sarah blouse? Likes dislikes please? Thanks

    1. Lynn, you mean the new blouse H4632 right? Overall impression from someone who shys away from large blocks of floral patterns: beautiful color combo but larger than normal floral pattern may look homely if not styled correctly.

Fit: No opinion since I tried on the only size in store, a 10, when I am a 4 in perfect shirts. My stats are 5’8, 34b, 120lbs.
Texture: softer than the Ros floral shirt and bandana, both of which are stiff and scratchy.
Style: The large white petals splattered throughout the shirt will make the shirt look homely or be mistaken as a nightshirt not appropriate for daywear. The shirt will look best peeking through a navy or oxblood leather jacket, paired with a leather skirt, or worn with those YSL studded moto boots to give the florals an edge.

I am undecided on the shirt but have already bought the bandana, as I do with every J.Crew Liberty collab. :) HTH!

    2. Yes Namora, this is the blouse and how grateful I am for your opinion. I was more or less thinking the same and needed your reassurance. Think I will pass on this as your description was perfect considering I have no store to visit any longer. I do love the new leather collarless jacket in Navy. Not much else that captures my attention. Thanks again

  20. I received the wool skirt with bows in my regular pencil skirt size. I love this. It is adorable and well made! Too bad they rarely make a cute pencil skirt anymore. This one has limited use due to the wool and velvet bows but was worth the sales price. Waiting on my cardigans and silk blouse from the same order which should arrive tomorrow.

    1. Thanks for the review. I will be stalking this skirt, which now has gone up to full price (+25% off).

    2. I wore that skirt to work last week and got lots of compliments. I had a hard time walking though - that slit isn’t long enough! Other than that love everything about it. It’s memorable but I don’t mind at all.

  21. I am going into store today to pick up the mockneck lace top in floral lace (the blue lace blouse), tres chic tee ($4.99, I could not refuse), and cableknit sweater with fringe ($24.49 gave it a shot even though I have since researched and fear the S will be ginormous).

Anywho, is anyone looking for something specific? I will be childless and can look around.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Would love your review on the mock neck lace top! I tried on a 0 which is a size smaller than my usual and it fit but I had problems with fastening the buttons and thought the neck was a little tight. My VPS ordered a 4 for me which I cancelled thinking I should be ok in my usual top size.

    3. I’m looking for the tie waist pants in star printed crepe (G8644) in a 10 or 12. Website says they’re sold out but I find that is rarely the case.

      Delete
    4. Sara, I think my store (Louisville, KY) had some on Friday. You might give them a call. I was looking for 4/6 in those pants and asked for a VPS to find them on the Stylist button feature on the website. She found mine in Indy.

      Delete
    5. Eeps, will do asap!

Natalya, I fondled them but didn't try on because I could see they wouldn't work for my longer torso and arms.

Sara, I'm sorry to report no star pants :(

      Delete
    6. @Eeps, thank you for giving up the 4 which is in all likelihood the one that I was able to get. It fit perfectly. I am usually a 4T but the sleeve length looked bracelet and worked great. If the 0 was slightly snug on you, I would think a 2 is the largest you can size up. I hope this information is helpful and that you are able to find what you are looking for :)

      Delete
    7. Ooh glad it worked out! My VPS found the 2 for me and it is due to arrive on Friday. What did you think of the neck/buttons? I couldn’t tell if i had trouble buttoning up because of the snugness or the placement of the buttons.

      Delete
    8. @Cheritheberry @Eeps My floral mock neck lace top arrived today (I'm in NZ, waiting for JCrew parcels is agonizing as it always seems to take so loooong, lol). It's very pretty, definitely recommend it (for anyone who's on the fence about it) if you can nab it on sale (last I saw, it was still 50% off with current EXTRA50 promo). I tend to wear xs but for tops order 2-4 depending on whether it runs tts or small. Went with a 2 in this case, and the fit is good (slightly loose but in a good way), not too tight across the shoulders. The royal blue color is gorgeous and would suit most skin tones I would think. :)

      Delete
    9. @Eeps I think the placement of the buttons does make it a little bit difficult to button it up (I found it tricky and the 2 is not super snug on me). However, considering how lovely this top is, totally worth the extra work!

  22. Well, that was surprisingly easy for me….perhaps it’s good I couldn’t check the website until now. The only item item I wanted that had popped back in my size was the Mountain Puffer in Tartan, but they removed the extra 50% off so I didn’t bite.

  23. So there is a pair of jeans under the sale section Ogden wash I believe. Petite is 50 off but for some reason the other sizes are not. I had it in my cart and during chat back and forth explains how it WAS under 50 % off the SA finally agreed to adjust the price. By then it was gone. Of course!

  24. The only thing I ordered was a perfect fit Tshirt - they were excluded in some previous promotions so I grabbed them at $9.50. I almost ordered some jeans but being final sale I didn't want to risk...

  25. My 15% off card that expired yesterday still worked just now. I ordered the mountain puffer in Tartan and a pop back of a sleeveless liberty top from the fall. Used a Christmas gift card and am ok that a 25% off code never got to me or I would probably have gotten more. I usually do some shopping in February due to Birthday month - so fingers crossed for whatever rolls out mid month.

  26. My reviews: 5-2, 115-120lb, 34c, waist 26-28.
lodge coat in black and white 6p, it is a little too long a little too Bucky but other wise ok. Very warm.
Cocoon coat in pink 4p, should fit well but body a little bulky, a little too long. I actually like the length of the Factory cocoon.

Chataue coat 2p, same as above, shoulder ok but length too long too bulky. All 3 baught at final sale so no returns for me.

Like new balance high waist leggings, s/m both fit me.

One shoulder striped tee, s, too stiff too bulky, will return.

Stretch chino crop pant, 2 fit very well, 2p too tight but squeezed it, nice quality for the current price.

Really like the tie back long sleeve tee for $5. I bought the off white and black colors.

New Blythe silk shirt in 4p, fit very nice but the silk is very thin.

Washed silk Blythe shirt in 2, silk nice quality but the color is just washed silk not very crisp, will return.

Scuba jacket in m, very stiff, will return.

Velvet easy pant, navy, 2p, liw-mud rise, tight in the calf, lined, nice quality, for $15 will keep.

  27. Has anyone tried the one piece swimsuits (not long torso) that are over 5’10? Wondering if they are too short and have to be constantly pulled up?

Well, I'm going out with a bang to start #noshopfebruary

I returned the Cameron Slim Chino pant. The rise was just a little off and after trying them on a few times, decided even for $15 and change I didn't love them. I also returned the Subtle boatneck sweater. I'll see if the small works (ordered both sizes at the same time since they weren't final) but I'm not hopeful.

I decided I needed to give a few items a look at my store. I've been eyeing the lace pants even though I felt they aren't so "me" but they had the red in my size and I was trying other things on, so why not. I was seriously shocked at how flattering they actually are. I wasn't sure if I could deal with the red but remembered a shirt I love but haventworn enough, andknew they'd match. Happy I got them

Next I tried the wide leg camo pants again. I had given them a quick look awhile back and didn't even bring them home from my ship to store order. They only had a 00 in store and previously I tried the 0. They're a little tight but overall it's a more streamlined look because they fit well at the waist. I tried them a few ways and my favorite by far is with the camo sweater and a striped button down underneath, and pearls, of course, for a feminine touch. As Ina said, I'm fighting the fashion war, 😂 I think it's a great "hookup."

Finally I saw a pair of jeans I was eyeing online the Ogden wash, butthe style numbers don't match, so I'm not 💯 sure. Anyway, they're a lighter wash but not the lightest. They only had a size up from my usual toothpick size but they fit nicely. If I go to buy another pair of jeans someone please slap me.

and with that, iwill commence shopfreefebruary and Shop my closet.

  29. My everyday cashmere cardigans in camel and black and my calf hair signet bag arrived today. I am so glad I bought the Signet - it is beautiful. It was also packed beautifully and in a dust bag. I adjusted it to be as long as it can and it hits at my hip - I'd prefer a tad longer for a crossbody but it's not a dealbreaker (I'm 5'8").

I went with M for the cardigans - I'm usually a small in Tippi sweaters lately and a 4/6 on top but the medium is good so I can button them. They're definitely not as luxe as the cashmere cardigans of years past but they are more significant weight than the featherweight. They are soft but not super plush. For $38 each, I'm good with the quality.

All of my suiting shipped today so glad for that and that will finish the month for me. Let no shop February begin. I just have to survive my visit to the store Saturday to do my pile of returns.

  30. Cross posted in Wednesday's thread...

A few more items dropped off tonight,

Black mockneck tank, this is the ribbed one. I really like the fit but I'm pretty sure it's brown, not black, I got two sizes and they're the same color and compared to all the black I was wearing, they're brown. I will have to see in daylight, but if it's brown it really won't work for me, even at under $12.

Merino turtleneck with side slits. Pretty much fits as I expected. Wide and slouchy. I like that it's lightweight. It also stunk like perfume upon opening, I'm hoping it will air out. It's final sale but if it doesn't I will ask to exchange.

Everyday cashmere cardigan in black. I'm no cashmere expert but the weight seems nice enough. Fit doesn't work. XS is so tight across my chest that the buttons gape (or it's defective, I am not busty!) and the small is too loose. Great price but it's going back.

Finally, the subtle boatneck sweater in merino, size small. The XS fit odd but the small works better. I like the neckline (once I get it to sit right) especially because it works well with a chunky necklace. It's a little boxy but I can tuck it in to high waisted pants. It will work with a button down under it too, and it's a nice weight.

So that's all she wrote. I will have to make some returns but I'm going to do my best to have a #noshopfebruary.
