Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy
details like fit, size, fabric, and the
like— that would be fantastic! Thanks

Review: gray gingham pajama pants. They're on clearance now, but they're not even worth the sale price IMO. First, they're low quality checked flannel, not gingham, which was very disappointing. I've only worn them a few times and I've washed them 3 times, but they're already ready for the trash. Sooo much pilling!
ReplyDeleteI woke up predawn this morning and found a nice update on the website. I picked up several popbacks I've been wanting: postcard skirt and shirt (both in my size!), pink rollneck sweater, cashmere striped boyfriend sweater, glitter tee and tres chic tee in ivory (I already have the maroon color and I like it). I bought the up beat tee, too, although I'm not particularly fond of it. I know many of you hate the word tees, but I kind of like them. I also ordered several pairs of the vintage pajamas that i love at 40% off. I don't really need them, but I want to get rid of a few pairs of my Bedhead knit pjs. I love them, but they're starting to look very ratty. The knits just don't last last like the woven fabrics.
Today is the last day of the (current) 50% off promo. Like others I am feeling "all shopped out". It sounds odd but I am hoping that the heavy discounts stop for a while. Resisted the allure of heavily discounted cashmere and shoes (in my size) this morning and am hoping that this is a sign that I can be more disciplined. There are only so many days in the year and I have more clothes than I can reasonably wear. But I cannot seem to stop myself from checking the website every morning.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I agree completely! I’m planning to do a big closet cleanout this week. I have way too many clothes cluttering my smallish closet that don’t fit my current body, climate and lifestyle. If I get it in order so I can actually see what I have to wear, I’ll feel less need to acquire more. Do I want to sell them on Poshmark? Ebay? I usually just donate because I’m too lazy to bother with selling, but it would be nice to get some money for them.
Delete+1 on this. Heading out of town through the weekend and my February weekend free time is going to be devoted to purging and organizing more. Donating with maybe some eBay inbetween.
DeleteJeanne, I held onto old clothes for a long time thinking I would sell on ebay or poshmark, but honestly, I'm too busy. I would have liked some monetary compensation but donating them was a weight off my mind, so I'm taking it as a moral victory, lol. -lep33shops
Delete+1 I'm on the verge of taking a break from JCA in tandem with a shopping break. I’d like to think I have more self-control than that, but more than once I’ve gone running to the J.Crew site and made an unplanned purchase based on something I read here. I’m not going into debt or buying things I never wear, but I’m buying more than I need, and I’d like to stop. But I know I'll miss JCA, I love coming in to talk about style and shopping. I bought the StyleBook app about 2 weeks ago and have been populating it with my current wardrobe. It's really helping me see how much I already have, which is too much!
DeleteLauren, I feel the same way but I know so many people who sell their stuff on Poshmark and Ebay, so I feel like I'm just being lazy. Once I look at my rejects more carefully, I'm sure many of them should go into the trash anyway. No one wants my holey tees, faded pajamas and stretched out socks.
DeleteI'm currently listening to Robin Zasio's book "The Hoarder in You" for the 2nd time. I'm not a hoarder, but there's a lot of insight in the book for nonhoarders, too. I totally identify with the sections on bargain shopping. The anxiety and sense of urgency, for instance. The fear that there will never be another opportunity like this again. Yep, I can identify with that. She says there will always be more sales and more bargains and of course she's absolutely correct.
I also went through the entire sale section this morning and put a few things in my cart. I debated hitting order for a few minutes and then clicked out. I had 2 dresses in my cart which are not needed for my business casual workplace and a cape scarf which I really want but realistically know I probably will not end up wearing. I am glad I had the will power to say enough is enough. I am still waiting on 3 packages purchased last week.
DeleteI did the same as JessF. Had two pairs of popback shoes in my cart, and then decided I don't need them. I still have a JC order coming, and am about to make a few returns today. Just got back from Paris where I bought shoes and while I was gone, my VPS ordered a pair of shoes for me. I need to be realistic about the rate I'm wearing clothes vs. the rate I'm buying. I need to reread the Marie Kondo book!
DeleteNo, don’t do it. Rollout is next week, I propose checking out what J.Crew has to offer for the new arrivals, and then decided after :)
Delete@shopgrrl I love the Stylebook app! I have 320 days of continuous tracking of everything I've worn and it's been a huge help. For loading my closet I had great luck googling style numbers and sifting through pictures to find colors. I matched 90% of my entries this way - so much easier the photographing everything! I found my most frequently worn items are long merino cardigans, statement necklaces, Gemma flats, striped tees, and jeans. And I need to stop buying button ups!
Delete@Laura I’ve also had great luck finding a lot of my items via google, though sometimes I think it would just be quicker to photograph the item. I’m making sure to get all of my recent items while they’re easy to find, and then adding older stuff as I wear it. I really already know what I wear, this is more about quantifying my actual holdings for myself. It’s one thing to say “I have too many clothes”, quite another to see that you have 40 sweaters. Yup. I also have a very long business trip coming up and will use the Looks and Packing features to plan what to bring. I’m a chronic over-packer and it should help with that.
DeleteI’ve used ThredUp a few times to clean out clothes and been happy with it. Particularly good if you’re just looking to get some payment but don’t want to go through the hassle of selling yourself.
DeleteI received an offer from eBay for free selling fees on 5 items. I figure it’s a sign for me to get started so I’m listing some of my higher-value shoes. Like using StyleBook, it’s good way for me to come to terms with all the stuff I have. I haven’t sold on eBay in years now, so the good news is that the tools are much better than I remember!
DeleteSending peaceful vibes to all the shopped out JCAs. Best of luck with your time off or closet clear-outs or whatever you choose to recover with :)
DeleteAs for me, I do find the extreme sales both exciting and exhausting. It's wonderful to find a pair of fantastic everyday black heels at a great price (and I currently have none somehow), but checking for my size and color is mentally taxing when I want to be doing other things. Even though, in alignment with my goals, I haven't bought anything on credit, have been paring down my closet consistently, and have resisted the wear-it-a-couple-times-a-year supersale items, it takes a lot of energy to resist those less prudent purchases. I recently watched a short video on 'the cost of stuff' and yes, it costs a lot more than just the money. It seems that the time spent retraining my brain to be less impulsive is a silver lining.
@Sarah, totally agree with you. Another source of stress is anticipating potential quality issues because a) the item is coming from a store and has a high chance of being defective b) sweaters and silk items showing signs of wear and snag
DeleteThankfully all the items I have received are free of any defects and therefore, eliminates the need of contacting CS to waive final sales.
I am also sitting out until the new roll out on 1/30 next Tuesday. :) Hopefully there will be a VIP preview a few days earlier.
Namora, I feel the same way. I try to avoid getting too attached to sale items until I actually receive the package and examine the merchandise for defects. Too many times in the past my order was cancelled or I received a damaged or defective item or a wrong size. I'm actually surprised that my recent orders seem to be going much more smoothly.
DeleteThanks for the Stylebook app rec, ladies. I downloaded it this afternoon and I'm really liking it so far. I tried a similar system on a website a few years ago, but I found it too time consuming and difficult to use. Entering all my clothes into Stylebook will take FOREVER but it's easy to use and allows me do a lot of personalization.
Delete@ Jeanne, ha! *knock on wood*! Have you received your funnelneck sweaters yet? Or are they still trapped in a shipping center? You’ll love these sweaters! I bought all four! They are very thick and cozy.
Delete@shopgrrl - I love the packing feature. I am also a chronic over packer and this ( plus a final try on of looks before actually packing) cut down a lot on bringing things I didn't need to pack.
Delete@jeanne - it does take a bit to load clothes in - but like @shopgrrl I did things that were recent purchases and the things I was wearing a lot first then filled in as I wore things or as I rotated seasons. I hope you enjoy using it too!
@Namora - I received two of the three funnel neck sweaters I ordered late this afternoon and I just tried them on a few minutes ago. You’re right. I absolutely love them. The fit is slightly loose and comfortable, but still flattering. The quality is very good. They will be in my wardrobe for a long, long time, so I may as well go ahead and add them to my new app. :D
DeleteSurprise: my order from this morning already shipped today. I’m excited for the rollneck sweater and postcard prints.

ReplyDeleteOff topic but does anyone know if you can return (by mail) Jcrew and Madewell items together? They're going to the same place... Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don’t think you can :(
DeleteHi Lauren, I have many times before, no problem! And I did again this week too! Mind you, I've always included Madewell items with my J. Crew returns (never tried the opposite, though seems like it would be the same thing). HTH!
DeleteHelp please about sizing on Velvet and Leather Mules. I have a narrow heel but medium width size 10 and not chubby feet? Do these run true to size? I'm concerned they will be too wide. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI got the crackle gold and went with my usual 8.5 and they're fine. I seem to need to size up to a 9 in in some shoes but it seems I get an 8.5 in the pointy styles and they fit (leather Gemma I wear 8.5 but when I tried to suede on last spring they were too loose).
DeleteThanks so much ordered 2 pair and cheap cheap cheap
DeleteI bit this morning, nothing final sale.
ReplyDeleteParke Topcoat in Dark Cognac. Not sure if I'll like the color (it looks like a rusty brick red which can work but if it's too orange it won't!). I love colors like this with black, white and denim.
Tuxedo blazer...I had to try it. I have the ludlow which is similar in shape. If it makes sense I'll keep it but if the only difference is the satin lapel I won't.
Another pair of leggings I know I like and the cape scarf I just got myself as a gift.
Suz, the tuxedo jacket was probably one of my favorite purchases from last year. It was a hole in my closet and I have been wearing it a lot - I hope it works out for you! It is more or less the Parke blazer shape IMO.
DeleteI ordered it last year on sale but I got the 6 which was loose. I've always loved tuxedo blazers and hope it's different enough from my ludlow that it makes sense.
DeleteGreat buys Suz Has! I bit on the cape scarves too. Ridiculously cheap right now especially the gray with red stripe. I bought it to give as a gift and the black and white tasseled check one for me.
DeleteYes, I got the gray for myself (as seen on IG) and when I told my mom about it she said "oh you should have gotten me one!" There was only one in my store but when I saw it online I had to grab it. She doesn't wear red much but does wear gray.
DeleteHi Suz. I bought the parke topcoat on this super sale in the cognac colour. It's not a colour I would normally gravitate to but I absolutely love it. It is more rusty red than orange red. Looks great with black and navy.
DeleteLOL my gray with red stripe is out for delivery. Great minds think alike! Hope the blazer works out for you.
ReplyDeleteI found some gems at madewell, some are popbacks and some are current.
ReplyDeleteThe abstract pattern scarf and the cactus flower dress were popbacks and i adore them both. The dress runs small-ish and i had to size up to a 2. I also got the velvet Ella pumps in nightfall. They were TTS for me. This is my fourth pair of Ella pumps! Pics on my IG.
Also adore the warmlight v-neck sweater (both my regular xs and one down fit me). It is in the sale section and a great price. I will post a pic later of the two colors i got.
Yes, I know I've been busy rescuing items from J.Crew and giving them their forever home. Tough to say no to such sweet deals.
ReplyDeleteThe Ludlow slim in wool flannel, light brown #17557 are great. As usual slim cut in an Italian wool and true to size. Slightly darker than in the photo but for about $100 CDN instead of closer to $300 they are wonderful.
G0780 slim linen in a rich blue plaid was a winner and only $29 CDN rather than about $115. Slim, great fabric with some weight to it and a rich blue plaid. Great for the upcoming summer.
H1944 770 pant in deep burgundy, 98% cotton 2% stretch. True to size, great fabric with some weight to it for winter. They look wool like but are soft cotton and the colour is dark and deep. $31 instead over $100, hell ya.
More orders coming, oops and I'll report on those next week once they arrive.
Lol. Forever home! You got som great deals!
DeleteNicely done, J.Crew guy. I got those Ludlows in brown wool for my brother for Christmas. Agree they are rather nice. That's a good price, too. Too many good prices lately. My shoes keep growing their network...
ReplyDeleteCan anyone provide a review of the new Signet circle bag? I’m trying to figure out just how big it is and sadly my local store is closing and has not received any new stock.
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen it in store. It’s about 9-10” across and a basic crossbody size. Seems to be if the same leather as the basic signet bag, though I didn’t touch. HTH.
DeleteHelp girls, what do you think of the calf hair double strap leopard shoes? Fit? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteHi, is it style F4861 you are wondering about? I wear 5.5 in the Cece and Gemmas, but my feet are wide at the ball/toes so I sometimes size up to a 6 in other styles. I bought the 6 in these double straps. I did not get a chance to try the 5.5 but I'm pretty sure it would not have fit. I held the 6 in these shoes (sole against sole) against my 5.5 leopard Gemmas and they are actually the same length. I guess that makes sense because the Gemmas are more pointy and these ones are rounded. When I am in doubt between two sizes and the shoes have straps (ankle or on the foot), I often go up half a size as the strap keeps the shoe from slipping (unlike traditional pumps with no straps) and I don't have to worry about the shoes being too tight, but if you have narrow feet this strategy might not work
DeleteThe double strap shoes are adorable. They do look a little "younger" and more casual because of the design and the rounded toe so that may limit when you can wear them with.
They are ridiculously expensive regular price (over $300 Canadian). With the 50% off sale price promo, I picked them up for $120 which is a lot for me to pay but it's hard to say no to leopard flats that fit.
Stopped by Brookfield for a return. A few notable new items: 2 new Liberty prints - one is a larger paisleyish floral on a navy background available as a sleeveless top and a skirt, the other a mostly coral pink floral print as a popover. A new perfect shirt in an elephant print on a navy background - very cute. A new funnelneck shirt in pink and white stripe. Evie ballet heels - looked like. 2 inch block heel, a pair in silver caught my eye. Signet circle bag is small - I don’t think my checkbook wallet would fit but leather is buttery. There’s a small white print on navy that’s been made into easy pants and a faux wrap jumpsuit that is very Madewell. Overall kind of liked the new rollout - didn’t see a stupid giant ruffle or OTS!
ReplyDeleteSounds decent. Hoping for pics from someone!
DeleteOh! I am glad J.Crew has included more than just the Parisian trio of blue, white, and red for the roll out. Looking forward to the coral pink print! Thank you for the report!
DeleteThe shirts sound nice. I love whimsical prints and I'm a huge fan of Liberty prints.
DeleteI was at Brookfield yesterday too. Maybe we passed each other! I second the elephant print perfect shirt and I liked the pants too although doubt I'd wear them. Also liked the circle bag.
DeleteI was actually there tonight.
DeleteI forgot to mention a few other new items: a tee with LOL embroidered on it, a gray T shirt with a pretzel print (looked silly to me), several new Tippi colors, the Bonjour tippi, and a white/blue striped Tippi with a cherry patch stitched on. (as in not a cherry embroidered onto the Tippi but rather a patch that is stitched on). The cherry is very small. I kind of liked it (I like striped anything) but I ran my hand under the fabric and it's sheerish, which is a no go for a Tippi for me.
Also saw a pastel pink collarless double breasted blazer which looked super 1980s in a bad way, and a gorgeous khaki trench coat in a coated fabric that made me think it might be waterproof. I didn't try on because they didn't have my size out, but I'll be keeping an eye on that for spring.
I am also a fan of whimsical prints, and the elephant shirt's color ways reminded me of the deer popover - white, navy, pop of green.
I liked the coral Liberty print but I don't wear popovers, so would be interested to see if it comes in other styles. Not a fan of that other Liberty print - I personally like the smaller country florals when it comes to Liberty.
Received one of my orders from last week today - a crewcuts necklace for my mini fashionista and the drapey wrap front top in a 6t. I attempted to order this same top a few days before but received a 12t thanks to a computer glitch. The 6t fits great (I’m 5’6” and a 34D mom of two) and the blue color is pretty and deep. Unfortunately it’s stained around the collar with foundation marks and my size/color is sold out. At $7 I thought it was a great option to have in my closet but I’m unsure about the staining. Tag reads wash on cold and I think my Oxyclean can handle it as it’s seen much worse before. Just disappointed that J. Crew doesn’t check the merchandise more diligently before it ships.
ReplyDeleteTry a little Dawn detergent on it works much better
DeleteI agree -- I too, wish J. Crew would check merch more carefully before shipping out. I just received a top with no tags, heavily perfumed, and with a mark that may come out, but given that it's a silk top, I hadn't planned on cleaning right off the bat.
DeleteYou may want to take pics of the staining, and email J. Crew. They may offer to pay for cleaning of the item, or allow you to return if your attempts to wash are not successful. Just a thought.
@ Zach and Mere, Agree with Lynn...foundation is likely oil based and will come out better with detergent. :) If not, just blast that stain with Oxyclean.
Delete@R, I know right?! This is why I get really stressed when ordering slik tops and cashmere sweaters during end of the season sales because they might be returns or have seen some sh*t on the sales floor :<
I would first let them know and say you're going to wash and if the stains don't come out you will return the top.
DeleteI'd just wash on delicate with a mild detergent to start, line dry,
Thanks for the love ladies! Hoping it comes out as it’s a great item to have just in case this mom gets to attend a fancier occasion than a trip to the zoo. I called CS today to inquire about a refund or exchange for the stained top and they were less than helpful. Tonight I was able to snap some pictures and email them to CS. We’ll see how they respond. The thought process on the phone today by the rep was that I had already gotten the item at a great discount and should be happy with that. Damaged items shouldn’t even be sold in regular retail in my opinion but we didn’t see eye to eye on that.
Deletethat is infuriating! Final sale from a website is not the same as shopping a sample sale where you expect to find as-is condition and pay the price for that! damaged items definitely should not be sold as retail - if it did, the condition should be stated as such. I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect new condition when buying retail. Are you close enough to a store that you pop in and ask to speak to a manager?
DeleteCouldn't agree more @eeps. That attitude that Zach experienced is terrible! What would Mickey say!?
DeleteJust an update on the perfumed shirt I received -- I emailed CS, and they were kind and apologetic. They have waived final sale, and are allowing me to return; they have issued a return label (no shipping charge), and they have already refunded my CC even though they have not received the top yet. Very happy they took all these steps, and didn't give me a hassle :)
DeleteI have a review request: has anyone tried G7483 the eyelet ruffle mock neck top ? How is the fit? TTS? Boxy? It’s an online only item that has not made any appearance at my local store. Thanks in advance for your input!
ReplyDeleteI recently found three popbacks I really wanted online in final sale. The first was the utility romper which I love but will obviously need to wait for spring. I plan to wear it partially unzipped with the En Vacanza tee underneath and and simple gold jewelry. The next is the Mockneck top in floral lace and is a gorgeous royal blue. It has very feminine, Victorian details but looks great with leather leggings or even jeans. Also snagged the skier pajamas in a petite size that is super-comfortable and has great little details on the skiers. Oh! and the point sur shoreditch jeans in quintero wash might be my favorite JC jeans of all time.
ReplyDeleteI have always said, I don't get buyers remorse, I get non-buyers remorse and that lace top is IT right now. Had it in my cart last week and so regretting not pulling the trigger. Enjoy your great finds! They are treasures!
DeleteAfter taking a break from J.Crew for the last year, I went nuts during this sale. I am kind of glad that it is supposed to end tonight. Here are some reviews of things I kept. Sorry if this is long :)
ReplyDeleteItalian Cashmere Side-Slit Tunic
This is the softest sweater. I haven’t worn it yet, but all of the reviews are 5 stars, so I have high hopes for durability and minimal pilling. I stuck with my Tippi size of XS, and it is loose in the body and sleeves but in a very flattering and comfortable way. The length is perfect for leggings. I got black, gray, and mint and paid $65, $78, and $85 for them. The total for all 3 was $20 less than the original price for 1. See how I justify this madness?
Mountain Puffer Vest
For reference I have two excursion vests – an ivory one from a few years ago in XXS and the herringbone one from 5-6 years ago in XS. I think the XS in this new vest is somewhere between the XXS and XS in the excursion, and this one is longer. I got the Mountain Puffer in both navy and sand in size XS, and it is loose in the chest and waist but sort of fitted at the hips with the side zippers closed. I have a black XXS on the way. I think it will fit better in the chest and waist, but I might have to wear it with the side zippers open. I wore the navy one on a cold windy night, and everything covered by the vest was toasty warm. The pockets are a good size for my hands. They have snaps but no zippers, so I don’t know if anything would stay in there or not. I paid $34 for sand, $36 for navy, and $43 for black. Once again I got 3 for less than the price of 1, so it’s OK, right?
Ratti Zebra Print French bikini top and bikini bottom
I got my usual J.Crew swimsuit size (small top, XS bottom) and it fits well. $27 total. I am 32A, so other people might need to size up on the top. The print is a very dark navy. My niece and nephew climb all over me in the pool, and this suit seems secure enough to stay on during the chaos (or a strong wave at the beach). I am not interested in a pretty swimsuit that flies off in the ocean. That happened to me once. Hard to forget.
Round Hem Tunic Sweatshirt
One of my favorite things about J.Crew is a sweatshirt that looks like a real sweater. I ordered this in both colors during a 40% off sale when I also had a coupon, so I paid $33 each. I was really excited about these until all of the one star reviews started popping up. I got nervous and returned the gray one, but the tags were already off the navy one. I haven’t washed it yet, but I will treat it like a delicate flower and hope for the best. It fits great in my usual XS.
New Balance Quilted Vest
I ordered this in ivory XS and navy small. The XS fit close to the body and would be good for running or cycling, but I kept the small because I liked the navy color better. I will use it for hiking more than anything, so I don’t mind that it is a little bit loose. The online picture shows a double zipper, but it is actually a one-way zipper. Bummer, but for $25 I can live with it.
New Balance Performance Leggings in Striped Colorblock
I got the gray ones in size small for $19, and they fit well. The waistband is comfy and mid-rise. I haven’t run or worked out in these, so I can’t comment yet on how well they stay up or if they show sweat.
I have a few more swimsuits on the way to try, but otherwise I am done shopping for a while :)
I'm a newbie. How do you all know that the sale is going to end tonight?
ReplyDeleteClick on "details" next to the information about the sale at the top of the J.Crew page, and it tells you when the sale ends :)
DeleteWhoa! Thanks!
DeleteI will be glad when final sale is over...
DeleteEeek, no relief -- 50% off final sale continues! Only change is no more 40% off "cozy" styles.
DeleteIt’s the final sale that won’t die!
DeleteI need it to die. I just bought the legging 3/4 sleeve black bodysuit.
Deletecropped blazer sweater in gray - FS, so really nervous about the fit and whether I'd get a store return or a factory sealed. Luckily it came in new condition and the fit is great for my 5'1 self. I got my usual small and I can definitely layer this over a silk shirt or long sleeve T. it is not too thick (my problem with the merino wool Blazers) but is thick enough to be warm. super glad I got it and thr reviews were right.
ReplyDeleteDrake giraffe print NB leggings - took my usual JC bottoms size, and was struggling to get the waistband over my fat thighs. I could have sworn I heard threads ripping as i pulled them up but once I got past my thighs they were absolutely right in the waist and sucking me in elsewhere. I have another pair of NBxJC leggings in XS that I struggle to breathe in, so taking my regular JC size seems the right thing to do. The giraffe print is hilarious and the material is thick - no see through bottoms here.
New Blythe georgette blouse in fiery sunset - FS, took a P4 because no more 2Rs. the color is that infamous JC red that looks like true red on monitors but I'd actually orange red. I suspected as much so I was not unpleasantly surprised or bothered. The sleeves are a little short even on a shorty like me, but the fabric covered buttons and long cuff make the sleeve balloon slightly and I don't mind they're a little short, for the effect. The shoulders fit perfectly, and the material is slightly sheer and thin so I will have to wear a cami under. No complaints for the price, and glad all my FS purchases worked out! Final sale is such a gamble and one day I need to stop playing th game.
Sshhhhh.....a birdie (a manager) told me that stores that are closing, one of which is mine, will be sending all of their unsold merchandise to TJ Maxx.
ReplyDelete!!!!!
DeleteSome more things arrived:
ReplyDeleteLeopard topcoat size 4 - I have never been a size 4 in my life but that seems to be J Crew coat and blouse size of late. This was not an item I went crazy over until I stalked for a popback at $96.49. The size 4 fits as expected for a swing coat and I am happy to throw it on and go. I do like the bit of extra and campiness it adds to this 40 something fashionista mom on the go bopping around my local CVS and picking up crickets for the pet frog. It makes me happy.
Downtown field jacket black XS Tall - Cannot believe I got this for $31.49. Fit is perfect and I see this as a workhorse I will wear for many years to come. It is so comfortable, love the quilting, love the gold, love everything about it, did I mention fit is perfection. This, to me, is the J Crew I have loved for decades plus.
Italian cashmere side slit tunic neon persimmon S - The color is stunning and the quality is there but I think it is slightly too large. Small is my usual sweater size and the price of $31.49 was surely a steal, but I do not need another loungey over leggings type top. The color!!! I have to make this work for my business casual office (perhaps over ponte knit pant with an Hermes scarf and scarf ring?) or else back it goes. I REALLY want to keep this.
Convertible sweater cape heather sandstone S/M - I really like the look of this both with arms through, and totally open with a belt ove the front and around the waist, but it is too long on my 5'5" body and overwhelms my small frame. Back it goes.
Sequin flats with stars - I do not always have luck with J Crew shoes, they are hit or miss for me. These were too large and ill fitting. I had hopes for these, so pretty and different.
Also received a couple of the double strand link necklaces and a puffer for my little guy.
Waiting on: socks, a pouch, geometric straw hat, another oversize gem necklace, full length bodysuit, navy mockneck tunic sweater, harlow star cardigan, tres chic tee (I do not wear tees let alone graphic tees, I shudder to even say it, but really, $4.99?!?) and the piece de resistance the blue mockneck top in floral lace.
With that last blouse being procured, I am officially tapping out. There have been many bargains; many which I love and many which I like for the price. I needed none of them. I have erased all my J Crew bookmarks. Life goes on!
What a score on the quilted downtown field jacket!! I missed that one!
DeleteSuz, I stalked it for a few weeks!
