frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe
you might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Please

in-store visits, transactions with store
associates, etc.
With the advent of the return of Final sale (boo!), I must re-iterate the necessity of accurate photos and descriptions. Bohemian Red = pink, Wild Beet is much darker than it appears online and Pesto is ugly. Sigh. I won't touch anything in the online final sale that I haven't tried on before or that I feel is cheap enough to not regret immediately donating.
ReplyDeleteOh and there's free shipping, today only.
DeleteAnd no percentage off:-((
DeleteI don't get why JCrew doesn't offer the 40/50% off AND free shipping. Why do they want to hold onto some of this stuff?! I get maybe the more classic pieces staying a little longer but some of this trendy stuff needs to be shown the door, just slash it and move on J. Crew. I wish they would offer free shipping all the time (well of course I do), or at least lower the minimum to like $50.
DeleteAlexis...I wonder if you have ever noticed when sales come up on JCrew or even the JCrew Factory sites where price changes occurs frequently to a few dollars or higer to accommodate their extra 30 to 50% sales? There is another thing I encountered this past July 4th sale. The short-sleeve sleep set in stripe was out of stock $59.99, but now it is back at the sale price w/o the extra 40% off. The out of stock happened a couple of times before whenever JCrew has their huge sales online. I definitely get the best bang for my buck when I shop in stores esp. with my extra 15% for being a student. However, online gives you a lot more choices of styles.
ReplyDeleteMy percentage of JCrew is not as high as yours, but I sure reach the 70% with a much higher percentage when it comes to their shoes. JCrew shoes are ridiculously priced so I definitely refuse to pay retail... so eBay is my adrenaline rush. An intense bidding war gets my blood boiling and right now it is for the JCrew Silver Sandals. I have one day left to outbid my online adversary. The question is, "What is the highest I will pay for them and how often will I wear them?" Bottom line...I WANT A DEAL!
Flowy.
ReplyDeleteStrappy.
Drapey.
Swingy.
Floaty.
Awaiting the next in this series with dread.
Every single order received from J. Crew in the last month has arrived either damaged or defective. I am not talking of a little string, I am talking of squeaky shoes, insoles that are flopping about and full of dried glue on the top, ripped shirts, unravelling hems and irregular stitching. Not to mention that my orders are taking over 2 weeks to get to me on some cases. I should just learn my lesson and only buy in store. No apologies offered either.
ReplyDeleteI just got another broken necklace. Is there no quality control anymore?
DeleteI received a pair of shoes that were shopworn- dark marks on the sole, foot imprints on the inside. I received a top that had been worn with the tags removed (to include security tag)- and it looked like it had been washed as well. I received a necklace from JCF that was not shipped inside a box- just the cloth bag that they put them in at the register, placed into a shipping envelope with no padding, which by the way, had a tire mark on one corner. The necklace was sadly broken. When I made my returns, I was disappointed and irritated. Very irritated. And then I just have to look at this new rollout and think, what the heck? Seriously? Ugh.
