The sale section is once again bursting at the seams. As TeriLynn13 (in this post) pointed out, there were over 1900 items in the Women's sale section this morning. I saw a lot of pop backs from years of yore in the mix too. Crazy! Hopefully some of you got some amazing deals. However I think most of us might be shopped out at this point.
Personally, I love the Textured Straw Hat. Not only does it come in two classic colors, but it packs up nicely. The price is oh so right too! Plus, it looks super cute.

I ordered the Field Boots in black and kindling. They aren't final sale so I am going to give them a shot. After the promo they ended up at $137, which isn't terrible for all leather boots.

ReplyDeleteThere are some items that I bookmarked that are showing up with sale prices, but aren't in the sale section of the website. So I placed an order for the Polynesian Stone Earrings, which are marked down to $59.99. My VPS also told me today that there will be more sales coming throughout July as they try to clean out older inventory, so maybe we'll see 50 percent off sale online finally?
ReplyDeleteI went to my local store during lunch and they just added a bunch of stuff to the sale corner. There was lots of jewelry marked down, t shirts and lots of other stuff I don't remember specifically. Still doing 50% in store. I got the cute tank with the lace trim that came in about 4 different colors, a necklace and one of the cute navy bandana scarfs that had been marked down.

DeleteI caved and got a no.2 pencil skirt in cotton twill, after discount was $58, so I figured a good time to try out the newer version. I finally decided to try the navy sunburst skirt which was only $42 after promo, have kind of wanted one since it came out, but I'm 5'10" so I'm sure it will be too short on me...
ReplyDeleteJulie, I'm 5'10 also and found the length to be perfect. I selected a size four in the mauve sunburst skirt and it hits right at my knee. I also took the sunburst in the navy and stripe (they were $36 after discount at my local store). I got them alternated so that they fit right at my waist and they hit slightly above my knee. I love them and hope you enjoy yours as well.

DeleteI bit on the sunglass print shorts, though I'm not sure if they'll work for me (3" inseam -- yikes!). Love the print but I know the patio skirt will be too overwhelming for my frame. Still more than I'd like to spend on shorts, even with a 40% off promo. If anything, will be trying on for sizing and fit -- if they don't end up popular we all know they'll end up in final sale at a deeply discounted price at some point. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI got the navy matelasse paneled skirt in a regular size, though I normally take petites, for $51. As I detailed elsewhere, the petite size was a horror show (too short, and I am short) so I am hoping the regular size will give me the knee-length skirt that's depicted on the model. I wasn't planning on trying the regular size but the new price of $51 (as opposed to the $85 I paid last week) plus the fact of non-final sale, convinced me otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI picked up a tweed Ludlow suit for my husband for his birthday. It was still $320 at 40% off but it is Abraham & Moon tweed and GQ recommended it. I took the fact that his very hard to find sizes were available as a sign. Men's clothes are so much more expensive than women's clothes!!!
I also wanted a pair of cotton pajamas - but they were on sale yesterday and aren't on sale today. Le sigh.
Didn't bother looking for anything else as it is so hard to scroll through the new sale section. J.Crew - my wallet thanks you!!!
