Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?
I just bought the long wintress puffer coat last night and it was already final sale but there's a 30% off code today?! Does anyone know if they change that if I call customer service anymore??
ReplyDeleteKeeping my fingers crossed for some % off new arrivals or something coming soon!
ReplyDeleteDisappointed that they are running the same promo for another whole week again and the same sale items are out there. I have a rewards card coming soon and all I have my eye on are some new arrivals, which are currently over priced. Need a % order promo!
ReplyDeleteBusy insufferably priding self on iron will and self-restraint. Must say, JC is making it easy this time. No promises about what will happen with update, larger % off, free shipping.
ReplyDeleteI must say I LOVE the Lydia dress in silk organza, but I already have two (one bought full price one very discounted). I love that dress.
ReplyDeleteLisa, me too.
ReplyDeleteWFF, stay strong. :D
Karen -- JCAs' experience with getting CS to honour promos after you've already placed an order seems to be all over the map. I've always had very good luck and never had a problem when this happened, but I know others have been told no. I think it's definitely worth asking, as the new reduced price falls well within the window they claim to have to honour price changes. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up! I've been waiting for a code! I also visited another J Crew store to check out what was left of the sale section. My results are on my blog.

Guys, I went to my b&m this past weekend and they were running a 40% add on sale merchandise, found the schoolboy blazer for 83dlls so I put it on hold and asked the SA if next day I could call and purchase the blazer over the phone and she said no, that it had to be done in person, is this true? Or was she just being difficult
ReplyDeleteI bought the fanfare blazer in cream and with black trim. There was an additional 40% off of the sale price, however my teacher discount was not accepted. I was told that during this sale, no student/teacher discounts were being honored?????????????
ReplyDeleteRita, I wonder if there was a policy change. Last summer the manager of my local b&m informed me that the teacher/student discount applies to your total purchase, even if there is a promo for an additional % off. Then around Christmas I bought some tights and was told that since they were an additional 30% off, I couldn't apply the discount. I didn't raise a fuss because my savings would have been all of $1.50, but I wonder if something has changed.
ReplyDeleteMomof2, I think you got a misinformed SA. JC will allow you to have things shipped over thr phone from other stores and I'll buy over the phone at my store if I can't get there. I'd ask to speak to a manager if you call back and get the same nonsense.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even looking at final sale
Disappointing. Eagerly awaiting a full price off sale.
ReplyDeleteKaren - The stated policy is that price adjustments are honored on full-price merchandised. If an item is on sale and has a further markdown, an adjustment does not apply. However, as stated, JC has been all over the map with some price adjustment requests being honored and some not. It just depends on who you get.
ReplyDeletemomof2 - You were misinformed. You can have them charge/ship it to you. When I've done that, I've always had to pay the shipping fee, btw. Only once did they waive it. I've also called and paid for items over the phone w/my charge card (non JC) and gone in to pick them up. I believe a mgr has to ring it up. Be sure that they write down your name & ph# on the receipt. Some stores lock the purchase up in the office. Some leave it in the hold closet. You can show your id and cr card when you pick up, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Sigh. Still nothing for me. Surprised they are rerunning this promo so quickly.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Fred -- nothing for me. I see a few FP items I *might* buy if they were 30% off and free ship, though.
ReplyDeleteMy wallet certainly is enjoying this little vacation!
I picked up a popback of the Quoddy chukka boots. I bought the Quoddy suede shearling-lined ring boots on an earlier promo, and I absolutely love them. They're soft and cozy and the suede molds to your foot for a perfect fit. I hope the chukka boots are as comfortable as the ring boots.
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when we can expect the rewards cards to come in?
ReplyDeletewhy are they keep running the same promo over and over again? Need 30% on new arrivals.........
ReplyDeleteHas Anybody seen a Retail only collection piece... A navy charcoal herringbone coat... In real life?
ReplyDeleteThey apparently have them in Toronto at 50% off the sale price. I live in another province but a ps in that store mentioned it to me via email and said it was similar in silhouette to the envelope coat ( which I loved once I sized down ). I am considering ordering it sight unseen but thought someone here might have seen it and have some insight.
Bought the minnie pant in the stretch twill at 30% off!!! Paid about $47.00 including shipping.
ReplyDeletewhich color, ames?
Deletei just bought two pairs of the twill minnies in the store for full price.
I really really want the Brigid Dress but the sizing is way off. According to the measurements it runs big and the size 4 should fit me (B=37, W=36.5,H=40.75) but I'm scared to order it since I haven't seen a review on it. If anyone has tried this I'd love to hear how it fits.
ReplyDeleteSo, I passed on it again and ordered the Fisherman Sweater in Byzantine Blue since it was marked to promo of $78 then 30% off. I also ordered some FP items I know I will love and don't mind paying FP for. If they go on sale before my 60 days I can return and re-order.
Glad I decided to take the plunge this weekend and have my B&M order the newsstand tote in leopard suede before the 40% off went away! After the 40% off and my student discount, snagged the bag for $70 post-tax!
ReplyDeleteOh, is 40% no longer in effect in-store? Shoot, I have a pair of Emmett boots on hold for me, but w/no % off, they aren't worth it.
ReplyDeletePathos, I was at the store today and it was still 40% off sale.
ReplyDeletePhew! I'll call tomorrow anyway to buy or not to buy.
DeleteThanks mommydearest and gigi for the info.. I knew she was lying, hate when they don't know and are very lazy to find out so they just tell you a lie, at least save me some money.
ReplyDeleteI'm crossing fingers for a store wide sale. I want quite a few things incl warm jade no 2, Mona pumps, and tilery bag. I have 12 items in my cart and none are sale items so yeah
ReplyDeleteHi: About the "can't pay over the phone": yes of course they do "charge send" but I don't think they let you pay over the phone and pick an item up at the store yourself. Like if you put it on hold and then want to buy it over the phone to secure a promotional price. I have never been able to do that though sometimes SAs who know me will honor the promo for me when I do get there in person.
ReplyDeletePlaying the J. Crew final sale, pop-back roulette game.
ReplyDeleteJust ordered the stripe silk boy shirt in henna and navy, the silk polka dot tee, patent passport holder and the blouson dress in polka dot...
Now let's see if any do indeed show up or we get that dreaded "we wish we had more" email
Tune in later for another exciting game of PB roulette...
J. Crew stop with the games, please! My heart can't take it.
I can't stand the high shipping minimum! What is the point of 30% off a tee when you need to pay $8.95 shipping?
ReplyDeleteSaturday pants in Heather Midnight - XS popped back online today for a few hours. Had to stop by my B&M on my lunch break to buy over the red phone, didn't want to risk them disappearing again. Snagged them for $24 with the in-store price match and promos.
ReplyDeleteChecked the website when I got back to work and they were all sold out again.
Between my newsstand tote for $70 and saturday pants for $24, great sale!
