  1. Just got the Indira Ikat dress in violet in the mail yesterday. This was an "iffy" piece for me, but I love it! At 5'6", the dress comes just above my knee, making it stylish without being over-exposing. The elastic waistband hits in the perfect place (just at natural waist or a bit above) and skims over the stomach without being clingy at all. It's fully lined and is TTS.

  2. jbird, glad to hear you like the dress. I was wondering about the elastic waistband and where it would hit. Glad it is not empire-waisted. Mine should be arriving early next week, can't wait.

  3. LOVE the ikat perfect shirt - it's silky and light and lovely! I also love the new navy maritime dress.

jbird, I'm glad the dress works for you b/c it was all sorts of wrong on me! I'm 5'4" and it was probably the shortest dress (or skirt for that matter) I've ever tried on. Mid thigh, maybe? I really wanted the dress to work, but I'll get more wear out of the shirt anyway.

  4. Math teacher-
That's odd that it was that short on you! Is your height in your torso? My height's in my legs, so maybe that's why it was longer on me? Sorry to hear it wasn't a good purchase for you!

    XOXO-
You'll have to post what you think when the dress arrives.

  5. jbird, I don't consider myself long torosoed (sp?), but maybe so. I wear their short length pants and those are mostly a perfect length for me. My ps even said it was way too much leg for me (maybe if I was still in college or early 20's, but at 40, I don't think so!).
