A big "thanks!" to Julie, Toast, Ashley, JTS, & Heather:D, who were kind to share this email that J.Crew sent their card members today. (I am happy to see J.Crew is still offering its card members something extra special, email-wise.)
J.Crew offered a sneak peak to the Elodie Patent Stacked-Heel Sandals (Item 14711; $198.00). Although I like the stacked heels, I am not a big fan of the shoes.
The email is also reminding us that today is the last day to use the HELLOSUN and SUNSHINE codes (for free shipping on orders of $150+ and $100+, respectively). I did end up using a code to make another order today. One of the items I purchased is the Linen Halter Dress (Item 15198; $115.00) in Dark Charcoal. I can't wait to receive it! :)
What are your thoughts on the new arrivals? Do you like or dislike the heels? Do you think you will order a pair?
Quick Poll: Do you like the Elodie Patent Stacked-Heel Sandals?
They're only ok to me. I like them in black, but I wouldn't pay $200 for them.
ReplyDeleteCliquot: That is how I feel too! They are "Okay", but not "fabulous" for the $200 price tag. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. I'd have to see them on, but the clunky heel does nothing for me, neither does the price tag.
ReplyDeleteI think they are cute, but I'm not willing to pay that much. But I never got the email and I'm a cardmember, albeit new - maybe it was only special cardmembers...But I won't complain as I did get my Mickey crewpon for April.
ReplyDeletethey are just "ok". I love my angela criss cross sandals from Ann Taylor much better. I purchased them for around 80 during a family and friends promotion. Even At's full price of 119 dollars beats Jcrew's "crewazy" price any day.
ReplyDeleteI saw these at the Collection store...AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteI think they look like shoes my Grandmother used to wear a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new dress, Alexis! It is SO pretty, and I love the color you chose, too! :)
ReplyDeleteHeidiG: Maybe you will get the email a little later? (J.Crew's email distribution is a little wacky.) Hopefully you will get it. :)
ReplyDeletePatina Cabachon: LOL! I loved the reference of "crewazy" prices! :)
Amanda: I would definitely like to see them in person. There are lots of items that I would have "passed" if I didn't see them in person (e.g. the Polka Dot San Telmo jacket).
Kirbydog: I thought they looked a little "grandma-ish" too! But I thought that was just me and since I hadn't seen them in person.
FFM: Thanks for the congrats! :) I am not a fan of linen (because its so hard to keep wrinkle free)- but the dress looked so pretty online that I couldn't pass it up. If it works out, I already have a few occasions to wear the dress.
I like them but the colors are weird... and potentially Grandma-ish, for sure! I want high heeled sandals but I have yet to find any that I actually like. Most of the JCrew ones are either ridiculous colors, or just a weird style. And usually I love their shoes!
ReplyDeleteOT - BUT...What is the silver J.Crew card for and how do you get one? I saw a girl paying with a silver card the other day, and I was wondering what the deal is...
ReplyDeleteThese sandals are nice, but not my style. I prefer either uber casual or uber sexy when it comes to sandals. Can't wear them to work so it's either hanging out or going out.
ReplyDeleteOT - I received my "pink" belle satchel today. The color is really close to the Frankie in guava, which I bought when it reappeared on the sale site recently. The sizes are similar too, although the Belle should be able to hold more. I posted a link to some photos on flickr.
I'm a little disappointed because I wanted a pink bag, not another guava bag. The bags are so similar and I also have the Frankie in cherry, which is my favorite J.Crew bag.
I can't keep all these bags, can I?
Can I?!?!

xoxo: I totally agree! I have the frankie in guava and now the belle in heather pink. I was hoping for more a pastel pink.. I am keeping both anyway. I love the shape though! My next mission is the belle in pebble!

ReplyDeleteJCrewCC - I don't know that I can keep all three. I have several other J.Crew bags and many other designer bags as well. My closet is overflowing and some bags I haven't used yet even. My husband gives me the tsk tsk look sometimes, but says nothing. I think he is annoyed by the overwhelming amount of closet space I take up more than anything. So many bags, clothes and shoes. I sometimes wonder if I could take a year off from shopping. Not bloody likely.
ReplyDeletexoxo it is a nice problem to have to choose between three gorgeous bags. Amazing how the colors are so similar and yet the Belle looked very pink online.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious, which other J.Crew bags do you have? Any for sale? Should I get up early for the Weekly Exchange? ;-)
Is it just me, or is there a lack of buzz around JCrew these days? Seems a little less exciting than usual and if these sandals are supposed to generate excitement, well... {:-{

ReplyDeleteShuLvr, I have to agree. Seems things have really mellowed. Lack of anon posting on this blog maybe? Not saying that is a bad thing, but for all the drams, it was entertaining and had buzz.
ReplyDeleteHm. Just "okay" for me. I'm typically a fan of wedges for summer ('cuz they're so comfy and easy to walk in!) and the stacked heel of these sandals plus the pricetag just isn't doing it for me. Bummer, J. Crew. :(
ReplyDeleteI love these shoes-- so cute! Personally, I love old styles and vintage and I actually wear some beautiful, designer clothes of my grandmothers! She had fabulous taste. I have a dress of hers from 1967 and a top from that time as well. Wore them both last summer and got tons of compliments and open jaws when I told people how old the items were and everyone responded how "in style" they still are.
ReplyDeleteGuess just like these shoes! Love the "grandma" look!
