J.Crew Email: Up to 30% off select women's shirts and camis. Online only.

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Marietta, as well as Silver_Lining (in this post) & Snow (in this post), who let us know about J.Crew's latest promotion.

J.Crew is offering up to 30% off select tops, including shirts and camis. This offer is available online only. (Although, I have a sneaky suspicion that stores might be carrying this offer as well.)

Incidentally, I have yet to get this promotion emailed to me. Usually, I receive these kind of emails during the morning they are offered. Did anyone else, who normally get J.Crew's emails, not receive this particular one yet?

Are you planning to take advantage of this offer? If so, which items do you plan to get? :)

  1. I haven't received it yet either. Odd! Luckily, I check JCA almost as much as I check my email :) Thanks those who alerted us!!

  2. Hi Alexis,

Ok, here's a moment of weird. I did get this message, but only to 1 email. I have 2 email addresses w. Jcrew; my personal contact acct & my work acct (to verify that I qualify as an edu). This time 'round my edu account got the memo, but not my personal acct. The odd thing is that I use my personal acct w. all my JCrew transactions. Usually, that acct gets all the info & my work lags. Maybe they've flagged them differently of late?

As for the code, pass thanks. I'm not very impressed. It's "up to " 30% off & only on "select" shirts & camis. The options are rather limited, the pricing isn't that great & it's online only. Meh.

I'll admit, my 1st reaction was: "Great & I just bought a blouse at the B&M yesterday". However, since it isn't on sale & I would have had to pay shipping, I'm feeling a little better. Sad, no?

Hope y'all find a blouse you love on sale & w. free ship,

    Heather:D

  3. This is OT, but I need to ask.

Re: The tea rose color. It looks different in every garment! Online, the tee shirts look fuchsia, the dresses look coral pink, and other items look like something in between. Any comments? Has anyone seen the tea rose perfect tees? I saw ABCs site, and her perfect tee looks fuchsia....I'm hoping it's the lighting. TIA!

  4. Looking at that pic from the email of the chambray capris frustrates me a bit. I am wearing them right now and I am a wrinkled mess. I wish they stayed pretty and pressed like in the pic.

  5. OT, is anyone else having trouble with the website? I can't see pictures of anything...just names and prices :(

  6. Hi Alexis - I'm LilPeanut! :-)

I have 5 email addresses registered at JC for notifications, and I only received the email to the address that I actually use for my online orders.

  7. Tea Rose is an orangy red. I sent my tee back in this color.

I also sent back the Chambray capris because of the wrinkling issue.

  8. Hi Anon,

Yep, in my exp. the "tea rose" colour really varies. When I recv'd the v-neck tee, it was a soft pinky / coral similar to the cashmere sweater. Then I tried the ss cotton cardigan, also more of a coral colour. However, the linen silk v neck is much more fuchsia pink.

I think the closest I've seen in tea rose to an actual rose colour is the "dusty rose" available in some of the merino sweaters. They are the soft pink reminiscent of an old fashioned rose bloom.

So, it's not you or your monitor - they really do vary quite a bit.
I hope to eventually order the Jayne dress, #12829, in the rose colour. It will most likely be different than the others as well. ***SIGH*** Oh, that reminds me, could someone please review the Jayne dress?

    TIA,

    Heather:D

  9. OT: I got the Satin Gala Tote in Dusty Rose on the weekend, its SO pretty! I really love satin/fabric bags. It is very dainty and beautiful but the fabric feels really fragile, like it will snag easily. Also I'm not sure how it will do with everyday wear/use. I had other satin totes that I can use for everyday from Prada, but the fabric feels much more resilient, even though it is satin/silk as well. So not sure what to do yet, keep or go back. But it is SO pretty!

I also ordered the Fresco Print Tunic and love it as well, can't wait to wear it when it gets warmer. It matches well with my golden cypress cardi too!

Did anyone else get the gala tote?

  10. Bekah, Heather:D: Thanks for letting me know about the promotion/email situation. I found it odd too. I wonder if they are becoming super selective with the emails now?

    Marietta: Thank you *so* much for forwarding the email- especially since I never got it! Also, I updated the post with your proper screenname. {sorry about that :) }

  12. Anon 4:02 & Heather D. -- Thanks for your comments on the tea rose color--I was so confused! I ordered a perfect fit mandarin tee during the sale, and I'm hoping it's more coral pink than fuchsia. Thanks again!

  13. Packola,
That is disappointing to hear that the fabric is so fragile. Just crossed that one off my wish list. Thanks for the post. I need pretty and useful.

  14. Alexis, the posts about the Gala clutch made me think that a fun idea for a topic could be our favorite J.Crew accessories. It would be difficult for me to choose just one, I do love the J.Crew handbags very much. Come to think of it, I have a lot of J.Crew gloves, hats, scarves, belts and hair accessories too. Not to mention shoes!

  15. Hi, no email for me yet. But it looks like I always receive them few hours after everybody else, so I don't know if it really counts.
I was thinking that maybe they sent the email to the "new" adresses that they gathered through the recent "share your email" promotion. Just a thought...

  19. Hi Shannon,

    Thanks for the update!

I appreciate the heads up on the sizing as I sometimes vary between a 4 & a 6. Guess I should go for the 4. That really helps save me the trouble of ordering both & returning the wrong size.

Thanks also for the pricing news... $69.99 is a big price difference! I wonder why my store - oh that's right -no suiting in the B&M that stocks dresses & no dresses in the B&M that stocks suiting ***SIGH***

Do you have the store phone# handy?

    TIA,

    Heather:D

    P.S. You're welcome Alexis & Anon. I love being able to post info that my fellow JCAs find useful:}

  20. I did not receive this email and usually, at least receive the promo's for the percentage off a higher min. purchase amount.

  21. Kat- yes it happens when I am browsing the sale section- pics of the clothes, but not models wearing the clothes. Weird.
