Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Anyone know when the next release date is?

  2. I've got a crush on the Wide-leg jean in indigo plaid AB421. With a mere 28 inch inseam they would be ankle length crops on me, so I'd have to wear with booties. Has anyone tried these on?

  3. I have to eventually make my way to the mall to return the velvet stripe jeans. They're cute but they just didn't feel like "me" and I wasn't sure if I'd reach for them very much.

    1. Was it the stripe you did not like or the fit? Do you think a black or navy stripe would be easier to work in?

    2. Well oddly the fit was smaller than the other vintage straight jeans I have... Like shorter too. Almost felt a size smaller so maybe if I try a pair from another batch, it might be different? I think a navy stripe would be more my style though. The red is cute but I still can't get past the holiday feel.

    3. Maybe the whole pattern was cut smaller. Anyway, I agree about the holiday feel with the red velvet.

  4. Did anyone else get a JC email about something “big” happening after midnight?

    2. 35% off your purchase, plus extra 15% off 12am-12pm only. The surprise is that the code doesn’t work 🙄🙄🙄

    3. I agree!
I was trying to buy a birthday gift for a good friend and some rain boots for me.
It seemed as if each item would be at a great price -- but no!
      J Crew, get it together.

    4. I had the collection falling leaves dress in my cart last night. With the code it was $110.xx. I went to bed without checking out and just now I went to my cart to by it and the price went up to 170 after the code. Seriously what the eff JC, sneaky.

  5. Looks like they forgot to include the 35% in the promo.

  6. Probably won't visit today, as I have been in three times over the past few weeks to check out the double serge pencil skirts, which aren't in store and are excluded from all promos. Fudge.

  7. Code is properly working now. A few new items are showing up - search for poppy. I’m going to try the poppy tunic as I missed out on the print last year and I think it’s holidayish but can work past the season too. Also have the leopard midi and tippi with the lace color in caramel as that would be a lovely work outfit.

  10. I’m not visiting a store this weekend, I’m having a hard time finding anything to love at JCrew lately. Where are the unique cardigans, pretty print tops, etc.? Would love to hear what’s on your wishlist, speaking of wishlists when will they be back🤷‍♀️

    1. The only things I've purchased lately are the boiled wool peacoat, which was a great deal and the perfect fall layering piece, and the buttoned corduroy skirt - This skirt is great for work and it was perfect for early fall and I think I can wear with tights in the winter. I'll get a lot of wear out of both of these, but I completely agree not much that is inspiring or unique. No sweaters I love either. I have some wants at Madewell. I normally love Anthropologie, but not much there either.

  11. The majority of items I've ordered and kept in October were popbacks or older items. I bought the belted tweed sheath dress in houndstooth as my one cold-weather dress of the season, and even that I'm still on the fence about keeping because the removable tie belt makes me feel like I'm wearing a grain sack. If I end up keeping it, I'll have to find a real belt so I don't look like I cut off a piece of my dress as a waist tie. I'm also keeping the silk button-up shirt in tiger floral, though I only realized after I wore it and hung it next to my other silk tiger shirts of yesteryear just how thin the silk is. I know the tiger floral came out in the warmer months this year but it's significantly lighter than my other silk tiger shirts (the ivy shale and mensy) and yet I paid similar prices for all three.
The violet everyday cashmere crewneck was rough and itchy on - rougher and itchier than the everyday cashmere cardigan I got a year ago. To me, this all sounds (and feels) like the quality is getting worse.

  12. OK, so the press was predicting an early and massive Black Friday because the sales economy hasn't looked all that bright and shiny. Hah. Could the underlying cause of depressed sales be related to the depressed quality of merchandise, viz styling, workmanship, fabric content? I've also been looking at cars, and one Lexus I sat in did not have a way to close the a/c- heat blowers in the center of the front seat. The salesman told me that I was right but this wasn't really a design defect because it was unimportant, but that's a post for another time. I do think JC's price bouncing and deceptive fabric descriptions are lawsuits waiting to happen.

    1. forgot to mention that in the past 36 hrs., I bought 2 SILK shirts from Sezane, a non-see-thru flannel shirt from LLBean, a SILK blouse from Vince, and 2 pairs of WOOL pants from Gap.

  13. Just saw on the JC IG that this season's silk tiger shirt will be in harvest red. Looks like bright red background with cheetahs? leopards? and pink/green florals. Looks a bit dated to me - not keen on combo of bright red/green.

    1. Oh I saw that. I happen to like the colors but I’d only wear it in small doses, like a scarf.

    2. something about bright red silk shirts scream 1970s to me

    3. Red is one of the few colors I wear, but I could see how a bright red/orange poly shirt can scream 1970s. It seems a lot of current styles are retro inspired (70s-90s) so i just choose what I like.
