This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
Purchased a pair of Loeffler Randall Starla sandals this morning using EXTRA and stacked THESKIMM which works for $59.00. I don’t believe they’re worth anymore than that anyways. I’m not familiar with their sizing since I have narrow heels. Looks rather cute. Company says to size up which I did. We’ll see. I’ve also found that with many of these items listed today there are not drastic discounts in comparison to what I have and many of you saavy shoppers previously purchased.
ReplyDeleteUS has 50% off sale and early acess to cyber monday deals.....and Canada again is left out. darn it...
ReplyDeleteI bought the black high neck chiffon top and the black polartec fleece - UGH on forgetting the SKIMM code this morning though! The top is sold out again so I can't reorder, debating if I should reorder the fleece. The no price adjustment thing is so annoying.
ReplyDelete@Anne call CS and tell them right away that you in a hurry and forgot to add. They did it for me last week.
DeleteAgree about price adjustments. I can't imagine these are actually the best prices coming... :(
ReplyDeleteI know a few of you have the Espadrille shoes in canvas with toe cap - can anyone chime in on fit/style/quality? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love them and wore them quite a bit through the end of the summer, however, the sole is starting to come apart and I made sure to never wear them when it was wet. They’re super comfy. But if you’re very hard on shoes I wouldn’t expect them to last longer than a season or two.
DeleteWe are going to PR so I’ll bring them then but I’ll also bring other canvas sneakers for longer walks.
thanks - I was pretty sure you had them!
DeleteIf any of you forgot THESKIMM code tell them what I posted to Anne.
ReplyDeleteI just tried right now and they told me the computer won't allow them to :( It's hit or miss based on who you get, I guess. She even suggested I just reorder but of course, my items are sold out.
DeleteI almost bit on some Christmas gifts (jammies for the nieces and sweater fleece for the guys), but stopped when I realized that it's more than 30 days away and their return policy hasn't been updated on the website (or that they've even confirmed that they would extend the window for the holidays). Not taking the chance.
ReplyDelete60 days returns for the holidays
ReplyDeleteWhat sweater is pictured with Cowlneck satin camisole in red? Item AE874. I do not see it among sweater:(
ReplyDeleteI had a bunch of items in my shopping bag due to the disappearance of the wishlist, and most had been on sale. This morning, all of them went back to full price, so with today's promo everything was more than what they had been with the previous week's promos. No thanks.
ReplyDeleteDecided to order some gifts with Cybermonday deals, dreamy pjs and sweaters.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'm not the only one who got an email around 4 p.m. today saying that the holiday new arrivals are in store today, a week before they'll be on the website. The Greensboro store, which is 40 minutes away, is very hit or miss for new arrivals, so without knowing more, I'll just wait until next Monday for the online arrivals. There's a cute long sleeve tee with sequins around the neck and some new fair isle type sweaters shown in the email, but that's it.
ReplyDeleteBummed that they are not adding the new releases online until Monday. Considering most of their stores closed, I doubt too many will make it in the store.
DeleteThis Is a partial Everlane vent, which worked out.
ReplyDeleteI have found customer service with Everlane to be overall exceptional. Any concerns, I email and get a response right away and returns are simple and free with happy returns. Well, for no reason other than I liked them (meaning, they weren’t on sale), I ordered two sweaters last night. This morning, I got an email giving me a $20 credit which expires Weds. Although there were a few items from Everlane I’m considering, I’m not in a rush, so I asked if I could apply the credit I received to the order placed last night which hadn’t shipped. Surprisingly, I was told no.
I sent another email asking if I could cancel the order I placed last night, and within a few minutes it was canceled. I reordered the same items using my $20 credit.
Silly? Perhaps, but the sweaters are close to $200 total. It’s not like I was only spending $50.
I felt like canceling and not wasting the shipping resourced was a better way to go.
Once J Crew sent me a $15 voucher and applied it to an outstanding order, so I think it's a reasonable request. I'd have cancelled too.
DeleteAt least they let you cancel the first order. I've yet to have success doing that with any online order.
DeleteEverlane bothers me sometimes... I ordered a swing trench from them a while back and the one I received had a sewing flaw on the sleeve hem. It was obvious and looked bad. I emailed customer service and sent a photo. They said return it and they'd send me another coat. Well, they sent me another coat, CHARGED my credit card for it (!!!) and gave me a store credit for the first coat. WTH???
That’s happened to me I think once and I made it very clear that I wanted the original payment refunded. I have definitely seen some sewing issues. I think in the past year customer service has been more of a priority, especially as they’re offering more items,
