  1. Ok, I want the lamé skirt but don't have any particular need for it. Do I wait? Was it part of the 40% off (25%+20%) promo last week? I don't remember because I hadn't seen it in person and need another black mini like I need another black sweater or jeans...

    1. I like it too! Need to dress out of my lazy jeans / sneakers rotation for work. 😬

    2. I think there will be 40% off promo for Black Friday (with exclusions) you can see if it’s included. I would like that skirt too but decided to wait for a better sale.

    3. Sadly when I see clients I can't even dress up like that because I'm usually bending and measuring or dealing with dust in a construction zone. So for me it's dinner/date/party attire.

    4. CR DSa, I just saw that email, not sure I have any intention on going on a Sunday, we have a family event that afternoon.

    5. Suz, I could never wear that skirt to work. It’s too short. Could only wear to parties or dinner out. I have a feeling this 40% off will be a disappointment. There will be a lot of exclusions.

    6. I think that is probably the case for many people so I'm hoping it gets reduced enough to make infrequent wearing not that much of an issue.

    7. hi all... i tried the skirt... took my regular size. i'm 5'4" and it hits above my knees but i can get away with it for work. the material is thicker and the pleats stay out (instead of falling flat which i was afraid of). Nice sparkle without being over the top. it's also lined. and when i got it, it was shipped in bubble wrap and a plastic bag which i thought was appropriate for the skirt considering i can see trying to get wrinkles out would be futile. unfortunately i didn't keep it. despite all the positives, i was still on the fence and i'm trying to be better about what i keep so since it wasn't a 100% OH MY GOD moment when i tried it on (it was like 75% for me), it went back.

it has a very festive vibe to it, so i think jcrew would be stupid not to include it in all the upcoming promos and stuff.

    8. @Miss JR, the metallic threads seemed silver to me when I saw it, or is it gold? (Or a combo?).
The last faux leather pleated mini I ordered was shipped the same way.

    9. Suz, the threads appeared more silver to me as well. It paired well with the metallic lady jacket.

I found this midi skirt over at Anthro: https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/lemaire-skirt?category=skirts-maxi-midi&color=007

      I prefer the jcrew one.

    10. Ok, I thought it was silver, that works better for the jacket I am considering with it.

    11. Agreed, CR, I prefer the J,Crew one and I already know I don't like that length on me.
