This is the weekly "Help Style Me!" post, where we can share items we are having trouble putting outfits together with. Elaine (in this
post) says it best, "You know, that thing you
bought because you love it and you keep pulling it
out and then putting it away without wearing it?"
Please
share your J.Crew item (either that you own or
are thinking about getting) that you would love help
creating an outfit with.
Also,
please help out by offering your styling advice. Feel
free to include links to your blog (where you
incorporated that piece) or to Polyvore (where you
showcased an outfit with that piece). Thanks in advance!

Received my Save the Bees tee as part of last week's order. I absolutely love the artwork on this shirt, and was thrilled to get it on discount as it's usually excluded, but man, is the linen ever sheer! How do JCAs wear gauzy tees like this? With a white spaghetti-strap cami underneath? A nude cami?
ReplyDeleteWhite will usually show under a white top so stick with a nude cami. I love the Commando whisper camis - they're super lightweight, longer and don't roll up and you can barely tell they're on. I used to hate layering with tanks and love these! They disappear under sheer items.
DeleteThanks for the tip on Commandos! I’ve not seen that brand before, but will watch for it.
DeleteI loved it too but missed in the sale. Now I tracked one down in store in Canada, but they want to charge $59 as the item has vanished online and so they can't see the sale price of $26.99 to price match. Can't believe their system can't show store SA's a price history.
ReplyDeleteI always wear the light colour too sheer linen tees with a pale shade Cami underneath. Otherwise everything shows, bra, skin, belly button !!! Also I wash in mesh bags and only hang to dry. Too fragile !
Oh, that’s annoying, isn’t it? Hopefully there will be some pop backs when the Black Friday returns start to roll in and you can get them to price match it then. It’s such a pretty tee, it’s worth a bit of stalking.
