Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Will go to pick up a few online orders of popbacks (skinny cargo pants in smoked aubergine & embroidered tassel beach tunic). Received Collection sequin bomber (tts). This is a fun piece for weekend and holiday. The merino wool is a nice weight; this is the type of wool they should've used on the cosmic cardigan.

  2. I need to get a jump on my holiday shopping this weekend and this rollout is a disappointment in that department. Love the Heritage 1988 cable knit sweater but forget it. Because acrylic.

    1. I did a large holiday order (mostly Men's since not loving the Women's offerings) with the stackable coupon. Just try to get boxes, even for a large order it's like pulling teeth.

  3. i would love a good party skirt... i have a factory silver sequin skirt that i never reach for (thankfully got it cheap!) and i'd like a replacement... maybe something metallic but maybe not sequins... what are the chances there will be something like that in the new holiday stuff?

    1. Might not be what you're looking for but I just ordered this and the black satin pleated midi from Lands End. I don't know if they'll work for me but since I was ordering some other stuff and they're not final salei decided to give it a shot. I'm tempted to try the JCrew tiered party skirt in black but I won't spend $150 Or SO on it so I'm waiting to see if it gets reduced further.

  4. I won’t be going this weekend but last weekend I went to 2 jcrews in the US during a girls shopping trip. Sadly I only bought a perfect fit tee (I already have quite a few). Normally I buy a fair bit but this time I saw nothing I wanted. There wasn’t any promo for men last weekend so I didn’t buy anything for my husband. For the first time, it felt weird going into the store as I’m usually excited but the merch just didn’t feel like Jcrew and the employees didn’t seem happy about it either. Hoping holiday is better than the preview.
On another note, I saw some current and fairly recent retail items at a factory store that were clearly damaged and still selling at high enough prices. There was a pink Parke blazer in velvet that had a large stain on it and damage to the velvet and after the 50% off would still have been $60. Some items were in pretty bad shape I can’t believe they’re selling that at factory.

  5. When does the majesty peacoat typically come out? I've been waiting for it...

    1. You might be out of luck since they would normally be out by now. I think they replaced it with the 2008 Andover Peacoat in Italian Wool (G5703). I saw one in store and thought it was a poor substitute (the buttons were very cheap looking).

    2. That's ok, guess I will save the money, then!

  6. Went to the outlet to make a return. Sorted through the clearance and found a retail daisy lace bell sleeve top and another navy top and paid $12 total! They were marked $40 with 50% off but rang up $15 then 50% and then I had a 20% off coupon. Too bad nothing else in my size. The manager said they get retail shipments about every three months. No retail visit for me. Waiting to see full holiday rollout on line.

  7. I stopped in to Factory this afternoon in my travels. Everything was 60% off, and they must have recently put out all the new arrivals, because that Old Navyish, chemical cheap-clothes-made-in-China smell was overpowering when I walked in. I haven’t been to a Factory in a while, and I don’t remember that happening in the past.

  8. Well I have no Idea what's going on with the website. A big 30% off banner and when you click on it it leads to a new arrivals page and No indication how to get 30% off. Bizarro.

    1. It does say something about a 25 hr sale event, so might be this weekend. Free shipping too

      Delete
    2. I don't see either of those, just their now standard "up to 70% off". Maybe the 25 hour event is tomorrow for the end of DST?

    3. I received a very unclear e-mail about early access to their 30% off sale in-store ... but how can it be early access if it's in store? So confusing ...

      Delete
    4. I got that email too. But this is on the website, an orange background and it does say 25 hour sale. 30% off everything and free Shipping. But no code and. When you click on it it takes you to new arrivals with no mention of 30 percent off and no way to see what the asterisks mean.

      Delete
    5. Weird! If you click on home you see it flash and disappear. Maybe it starts tomorrow? Which makes no sense.

    6. I actually called while it was still up and they gave me 30% off and free shipping on what I wanted!

    7. I called Brookfield Place because I was looking for a sweater dress with side buttons I saw on IG. They're doing 30% off and free shipping, so you might just call a store.

  9. Got an email this morning in regards to black toothpick jeans that keep their color after 10 washes. I don't know about everyone else but I prefer my clothes, especially jeans, to last way beyond ten washes. Not sure this is something to brag about. Another fail in my book. Although I will say that I had black matchsticks that I washed once and they faded so bad they went to the donate pile. Maybe this is a vast improvement?

    1. Black Matchsticks were my favorite jeans ever. Mine lasted years, not 10 washes!

    2. Yikes, I don't think that's much to brag about, either! Good thing about your Factory score, though!

    1. I think it really helps to try them in store if possible. I bought the green velvet ones in my regular size 8 but when I tried the black/white tweed ones I needed a 7.5. I have a narrowish foot but am typically a JC 8.

    2. hi....thank you. the striped/charcoal version is on sale ..but final. i am usually a nine. but have found some styles too small lately..

    3. was able to pop in and try the green velvet and the black white tweed . they did not have my normal size 9. but the 9.5 fit well. go figure. both were on sale and another 30% off. but I left both pairs. frustrating indeed.

    4. Unknown, I wear 6.5 in all the flats and tried the same with the green velvet Avery. I will have to stretch them. They are too hard to break in, as they cut into the top of my foot in one spot. I thought sizing up would lead to eventual overstretching and they would be too big. Out of the box and half size up would feel better to me.

  11. I think I'm going to go in for a return, the sweater blazer (arguably one of their best products) just isn't flattering on me. I tried sizing down and regular but I think it just hits in a bad spot. Pretty tired of the chase of deals for not great merchandise. Think it's time for a break.
But on that note I've been looking a lot at the Tuckernuck site-mix of high/low, great aesthetic.

    1. I honestly love the Tuckernuck aesthetic. For reliable quality items I've bought a lot of Ralph Lauren but sites like Tuckernuck are the stylish look J. Crew used to have. Now, I've focused on J. Crew Men's for gifts and some of their denim for women. The choices for women get more and more narrow.

    2. I will look at the denim when I do my return- thanks for the reminder!

  12. Vancouver stores 30% off your purchase..including sale. I did purchase anything ?...nope.

  13. I stopped in the Mayfair (Milwaukee) store for returns, and the SA couldn't have been nicer. Whole store was 30% off (sale too). I picked up the sweatshirt blazer for $15. Looks more like karate togs than a blazer on me, but it's comfy and warm and will be good for chilly winter evenings at home.

  16. Still some exclusions, but still this is the best promo we've seen in ages. I picked up a few things-

  17. Why can't the ladies have Fair Isle sweaters in lambswool like the guys? Every one of the men's sweaters I want are sold out in XS. Considering how many of them they paired with women's outfits in product pics, you would think they would offer a women's version. Although if they did I want the same lambswool and not acrylic.

    1. Totally agree with you! The men's sweaters are so much nicer!

    2. ITA. Also want one of those gorgeous tartan blazers they produced for men!

    3. Reality is the men's side is much better than the women's. It's better styled in the store, the quality is better, the styles are more classic. I sometimes feel like they don't like women. Off the shoulder for Fall? I have snow outside. I didn't even like OTS in the summer.

    4. I had the same exact thought last night! Glad it's not just me

    5. I completely agree. I always love the men's fair isle. I wear XS so in years past I have tried the boys in size 14 but the neck always seems too tiny and the proportions a bit off. Please just make some for women.

  18. Yay for a good promo! Picked up some men's items and crewcuts for gifts for my family.

  19. Finally a promo that is worth placing an order. placed two late last night. tried to places another this morning...could not check out. tried a few times. it was for the thomas mason shirts. these rarely go on promo. was going to call CS and just decided I really didn't need them. over shopping because there was finally a good promo. Maybe they will learn that this is the only time that items really move !!

  20. Really good promo! Nabbed a few hats, a cocoon coat, and a lacoste polo for dad's bday. 30% off + extra 10% off before noon + 15% student discount. Only wish there was more I wanted!
