J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, including TeriLynn13 & Ina Mack (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, as did the J.Crew Collection (click here).

Promotion Time! J.Crew is offering an additional 30% off Final sale with promo code TIMETOSHOP. This offer expires April 26, 2015. They are also offering free shipping today on all orders!
The image above is one of my favorite outfits that J.Crew pulled together for this rollout. Simple, yet very pretty.

I also like the Linen Zip Front Dress in Gold Foil Leaf. However, I am not crazy about the zipper in the front. Enough with the exposed zippers already. With that said, I am probably going to get this dress! ;)

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. Normally I'd agree with you on the zipper overload, Alexis, but that dress is a nursing mom's JCrew dream come true!

  2. Code "Onmycard" gets 30% off everything and 40% off sale (I think that's how I read it). I picked up a Jackie shell for spring and the Italian wool keyhole dress for $83 after promo. Hoping it will work to wear to my niece's graduation next month! It has awful reviews though, will probably go back...

    1. Ugh typical JCrew.....so many exceptions to this promotion.

    2. Nice they're offering Jackies with this rollout.

  3. Wow, this rollout has a ton of stuff for me. Especially to wear to work. The ladder stitch dress in cotton, lined, with pockets and lots of colors, comes in tall; the sleeveless belted dress in Italian crepe with the clever belt, the color block pencil skirt. I love the lace up gladiator heels for off time, and the gold leaf foil shell could do work with a pencil skirt or weekend with Bermuda shorts. I'm quite pleased with this rollout!

    1. Me too! I like the looks of it. Will see if fit is an issue, but as long as I stay away from the high-waisted pants and dropped shoulders, fit hasn't been a big issue lately for me.

    2. DF I thought of you when I looked at the suiting options! That belted dress and the ladder stitch frock, very pretty and they come in tall sizes... very sharp silhouettes with reasonable hemlines and perfect modest necklines for work, I'll be curious to read reviews.
I think this rollout shows promise and I was surprised to see it up this morning, I was expecting it Wednesday.

    3. @DaniBP They are changing the rollouts to monday morning.

    4. Thanks Ina, I have to say I like that change :)

    6. I like the change. Too bad they din't tell us. But I realize now that is why pinterest loaded earlier. J Crew is always so secretive. Shame the do not take advantage of social media (like this site).

    7. They seem to have been much more active on Instagram as of late.

  4. I found several items and I very much appreciate the 30% off which was good on most of the items I had my eye on...a few excluded so I'll wait on those. Looks like several items are already backordered until May.

I ordered the mesh A-line skirt in lemon (backordered until 5/19!) the tall ladder stitch dress in sea spray and the burnout floral paneled shell. I like the chambray herringbone suit pants and the color block pencil skirt but neither were included in the promotion. My store VPS is having an event on Wednesday afternoon so I may see if I can get the discount then.

I really want to like the fringe...but I'm not quite there yet. And I'm on the fence about the zipper front dresses although I like the fit and flare silhouette. The zipper is at least a little more hidden in the printed version. I'm a little disappointed in the prints, to be honest, I do like the colors in the jungle print but everything is a bit too tropical for my taste. And I sort of love the iridescent Elsie pumps but those will have to wait for sale.

  5. well...Didn't J Crew surprise me this morning...I thought it would be Wed.
Alot of the collection pants are pull on....really no nice waist band for collection ?
Many items discounted right off the bat...esp. jewelley.
I have to wait for reviews on armholes, how deep those front vees are and quality of fabrics before I will even order. I have sent every item I have ordered back in the last 6mos. I am sure CS hates me.
If anyone has seen any items IRL if you can share info on the above that would be appreciated. Being in Canada the rate of exchange ( going back to Can after U.S it has cost be about $60....just in returning) I can't play the return and rebuy game at sale.
Overall I thought there were some nice pieces....just not for my lifestyle right now.

  6. Alot of surprises ! over 2000 womens items in sale and some new arrivals at 30% off
I think J Crew is in big big trouble ....my worse night mare may come true. The slow demise of my fav store.

  7. I am happy to see a lot of the items I like are made from natural fibers. That makes me feel good and is a step in the right direction. I still hate the exposed zippers on everything. I just don't like the look. Does the gold foil leaf shell really need an exposed neon zipper on the back! I am holding out judgement until I get to try the pieces on. Nothing I had to have immediately but added a few things to my wish list.

    1. I feel your pain when it come to the zippers on the shells, I have some shells from JCrew from years past (cotton with silk trim around the arms wholes, forget which year they are from) and they have the zippers too, l I love the shirts but have a love hate relationship with those zippers as they tend to bunch up under cardigans creating an unsightly bump. It would probably be the same with these shell as well. I do like the look of the contrast paneled shell, it has a zipper too but I think for it I'd make an exception.

  8. Thanks to Julie Taylor for sharing the onmycard promo that gives 40% off sale - I just scored the chateau parka for 149! Hope it ships :)

  9. I was in my local B&M for the first time in awhile and did not even seen anything I wanted to try. There is a darling print for girls called watercolor floral, but my daughter's clothing taste has sadly moved from pretty to funky as of late... :(

  10. I have to say seeing the words "low stock" is nice because it will allow me to try the two things I have interest in before they sell out and on the same day that I can receive 30% off and free shipping. I may end up not keeping either piece (I ordered the petite contrast paneled shell and the crackled foil sandals) for sizing reasons since I am often a petite small or a regular extra small, but I want to be able to try. So yay for that!

Bummer the pretty linen dress in the photo above isn't on promo, but even still, the price is fairly decent, considering we all have seen the ridiculous prices J. Crew thinks they can get for all poly pieces.

  11. Thanks also to Julie Taylor re: the ONMYCARD promo which included 40% off on sale items for J.Crew card holders. Much appreciated heads up - JCAs are the best!

  12. And . . . As I perused the Sale and New Arrivals section this morning, I put several items in my cart. I contemplated the Fringe Slingback Sandals (C4149), but took them out after seeing the Fringe Tall Gladiator Sandals (C4148). Is it just me, or am I the only one that was reminded of the Abominable Snowman (Fresh Cream) with these shoes? Like, the 1964 Claymation version from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? Don't worry JC, I more than made up for it with my purchase :-) Cheers- Jennifer

  13. I did place an order this am for the linen cargo skirt and the contrast paneled shell in a couple of sizes, all in petite. Since the promo is the same for cardmembers (ONMYCARD) and (TIMETOSHOP), I used my AmEx and saved $25 using a current offer, of $25 off $125. Once again, I am really questioning having a J Crew card since there does not seem to be any benefit, especially since my purchases are down and no rewards in sight for me.

    1. The ONMYCARD promo nets you 40% off sale items versus the TIMETOSHOP promo which gets you only 30% off sale items. No difference if you do not have sale items in your cart.

    2. JRS, how did you get the Amex offer? I don't see it when I log in to my Amex account.

      Delete
    3. Thanks, Jennifer and Julie, good point, I did not notice that, but my items were new arrivals. Casey, if you go out to your AmEx account, from the Home Page, there should be a tab called Amex Offers for You, I saw it there and then added it to my card. Warning, just so you are aware, you need to spend $125 to get the $25 and for all the items that are backordered, which is quite a number it will not charge your account for those items, so need to watch what your shippable item balance is. Hope that makes sense.

    4. Thanks. It does make sense :). Unfortunately, it is not showing up under my offers. I'll keep looking and give them a call.

    5. I looked at my Amex offers and couldn't find it either

    6. Sorry about that, maybe it is specific to the card type, I have an Optima. I already got the email and credit so I know it works.

    7. AmEx tailors its offers so not every cardholder gets every offer. Also, it has to be an American Express card, not a card by a third-party that offers an AmEx card (for eg. my Fidelity Investment Rewards AmEx is ineligible for AmEx offers, but my AmEx Hilton Honors card is eligible). Sometimes you can sync your AmEx card on Twitter for offers that don't show up in your My Offers tab. But you have to tweet the exact hashtag. Maybe try #AmExJCrew?

  14. I just placed an order on the Saint James stripe slouchy tee in ecru gitane cafe, sizes XS and S. And the Wide Leg Jean in white, in size 26 and 27. I'll see how these cropped wide leg jeans look on my shorty self. I adore the way it's styled together along with the neck scarf and rope knot necklace. No promo on these-both excluded. :(

I'm interested in seeing the V-neck romper, the Raffia shell, Regent blazer in stripe, Lace-up gladiator in cream, Illesteva Leonard Tortoise sunglasses in pink.

  15. I like quite a few things in this role out. The Hayden hobo looks like it could be a great bag and would be interested in seeing the navy in person. I am bummed that the Japanese poplin swing trench was excluded. I was very excited to snag the cocoon stadium cloth coat in navy on pop back this morning! I've been stalking it for weeks checking the website multiple times everyday ever since it disappeared from my cart as I was about to finalize my checkout.

  16. A sales associate at my store just called and told me that the new roll out would be on the floor by Wednesday and that the entire store was 30% off with sale 40%. No exceptions! Wow!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. is that for wed only ? the no exceptions sounds promising. But I am hoping it would continue for the weekend as I would only be able to do the drive to a store on Saturday. Can anyone confirm this with an SA ???/

    2. Ladolcevita, where are you located? I got the email and called a local store here and asked if the Collection Palm Wrap skirt would be part of the promo on Wednesday and she told me that it would be excluded.

  17. Love the striped Regent blazer, esp with the stripe shirt as shown on Pinterest.
    Must have for me!

  18. I went in to check out the Linen Zip Front Dress in Gold Foil Leaf and was not impressed. The print isn't as pretty in real life, and the linen felt stiff and rough to me.

There's good news for us short ladies though: my local J Crew had a whole PETITE section in the store! Did I miss the rollout of this earlier, or is this new?

    1. How nice, Rosie. It would be great to shop for Petite sizes in-store. I just called the store nearest me and they still do not carry Petite sizes.

On a bright note, the SA I just spoke to said she believes the 30% will be going on for 'the next few days'. I didn't ask about exclusions, she sounded pretty busy.

    2. @ rosie They are changing the rollouts to monday!

    3. Rollout items were on the floor in my store today (Monday). Signs posted throughout the store said everything 30% off, with sale 40% off.

Website says only a few stores have petite sections, but that's a start! I'm hoping this means petite merchandise makes it to sale racks too.

    5. I saw the gold leaf dress in store tonight, and agree- the zipper really detracts. I am not a big zipper fan, but certainly am not impressed with the zipper in rose gold...

  19. Love the contrast paneled shells!!! Does any one know how these fit?

  20. If anyone can comment on the linen cargo skirt i would love to hear about it. It does not mention being lined ( like the linen pants) so I assume it is not . is that why it is priced as lower than normal pencil skirts?

  21. I think I want a "really big" inflatable pink flamingo. When did J Crew start selling pool toys?

  22. I've wishlisted a couple of new things...I'm more encouraged than I have been in a while. The goid foil pencil would be right up my alley, but the colors aren't a good match for me. I also love the jungle print, just not at collection prices. I still wish the colors overall were a bit more vibrant...ie, I wish the stripes in so many of the striped tees were white instead of ivory.

Speaking of striped tees, but does anyone know why the linen cross stripe tees have disappeared from the site?

  23. OH NO! :( I really wanted the double hexagon earrings but they are sold out! :( I was waiting until next month to buy...ugh.
