This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
I stopped at Rockefeller Center yesterday. The store was very busy with shoppers buying which was nice to see! 40% off sale (sale section is small and has been moved upstairs to make room for Crewcuts) but not stackable with 25%-30% off. I am posting a few reviews on Insta.
ReplyDeleteA review of the J. Crew Punched-Out Eyelet Dress Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for the Cotton Faille Short in Epoque Floral probably in a size 8, but maybe 6 or 10: http://ak1.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-thing/size/orig/tid/125983882.jpg
ReplyDeletePlease let me know if you've seen it in stores anywhere!
There is just nothing at the store for me. I go in and try to see something that I like that I am willing to pay the price, just not happening. I tried some pants on the other day and the crotch was down to my knees...and no belt loops. I had on an old pair of cafe capris and the SAs just went on and on about them, what cute pants. They didn't know they were J.Crew of about 3-4 years ago. I had to laugh. I am going to Arden for a quick clearance store fix tomorrow. I can usually find lots of stuff there, especially shoes.
ReplyDeleteI am planning on stopping in after work this afternoon to poke around. I placed an order this morning - both the Chateau coat and Cocoon coat were on sale, both coats for the price of one at full price...I know it's April but I'll be tucking those away for next winter. Then I need to be DONE with any winter items.
ReplyDeleteAnne, I grabbed the Chateau Parka in Dusk this morning, too, at the sale price plus promo!
DeleteI love this coat and will happily tuck it away in the back of my closet til next year - it is a home run in a year of many strikeouts for me.
I just hope it ships ...
I have both coats and love them. I was able to get a price adjustment on the dusk chateau and I have the black that I bought a few months ago at full price, something I rarely do at J Crew, but couldn't find it on pop back in my size and love it that much. The one thing I would caution about the château is that there are sizing inconsistencies. I repurchased the dusk in the same size because the first was so tight in arms I could barely get it on even with a sleeveless top on. Since I have it in the black which fits loose enough in the arms even with bulky layers underneath I knew the cut was off. I reordered in my size and sure enough the second one fit great. I also have the cocoon in sandstone which is a surprise love for me. I usually don't wear boxier cut costs. I can't tell you the number of compliments I received in the handful of times I wore that coat. I purchased a second in the bright red with the sale. I also love it because I can easily layer Blazers and thicker tops underneath.
DeleteDon't think J Crew is on my schedule this weekend but definitely want to see if Madewell is carrying the Mini Transport Bag in Dried Rose in store. I got this in the Rock colorway and it is my favorite bag, small but surprisingly roomy enough for my essentials.
ReplyDeleteWhere are all the JCAs? I keep checking back to see if anyone is getting goods deals this weekend in their stores or online and - so quiet here.
ReplyDeleteI know there is a little frustration among those still really "hearting" what JCrew is offering these days about all the complaining. But it's not the complaining that JCrew needs to worry about because those people still love and care about the brand.
It's the ones who have simply left and moved on
I got the black Campbell Capris, and love them!

DeleteMe too, ruffles. I love reading people's J. Crew reviews and reports, particularly over the holiday weekends when I've got nothing big going on. I've been thinking I'd get to Charlotte, where there's a big J. Crew, but really, except for badly needing white work pants (trouser cut, lined and preferably with some linen) there's nothing I feel like I've got to have or even want to check sizing on for sales. My chorus has become, "maybe next rollout..."
DeleteI have been finding more items to try but it seems that the fit problems I am experiencing are very much in line with what others are saying. Old Navy has pretty much taken the majority of my pants purchases since they have similar offerings at better prices and I don't feel bad when they fall apart. I did just buy a mid-weight stripe tee from the last roll out that I love, Ema posted a review on IG. Otherwise, the dresses have mostly been too low cut or poufy for me. My fun find is a "vintage" J Crew Waverly linen jacket on Ebay that has been a great wear this spring. That and a pretty J Crew Louise floral cotton skirt from like 2005 with a grosgrain ribbon tie.
DeleteI found two Waverly Linen Jackets -- pink and grayish -- on eBay last year for only $15 each. I actually dyed the grayish one black, but I love the color of the pink one. My only complaint with them is that the black one apparently has the dreaded porcupine shoulder pad -- but just on one side?!
DeleteI went to retail yesterday to return the cuffed chambray lightweight pants (review) because they stressed at the seams and showed white threading. It happened down the legs of the pants and at the crotch. I wore them from 1p - 8p last Saturday and that was it. I'll have to post the pics in the original review posts. I tried on a number of items before the return and left with nothing. The fit just isn't there for me. I'm still about 10 lbs higher than my pre-pregnancy weight, but I have clothes new and old that are cut to flatter. Or at least camouflage well.
ReplyDeleteThe current retail clothes are off. I'm having better fit experiences at Factory. A few more items reviewed here, incl the drapey pants in bright kiwi.
That's a bummer about the chambray pants, Gigi!
DeleteVava - I was really disappointed. They offered to replace them, but I just don't want to take a chance.
DeleteFactory - review of the pleated ponte dress, solid & also in stripe. TTS, thumbsup.
ReplyDelete...everything at the Crewlet is 50% off, so the ponte dresses are $44.50 & $49 thru Mon, 4/6.
DeleteLOFT 50% off everything and FREE ship today!
ReplyDeleteI will post later what I found at the clearance store yesterday. I will tell you now, they had one crystal foliage necklace and it is mine. Sold out online and every store. Got it for 45.00 less 40%. I was very happy, beautiful necklace.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the new promo will be after tonight? I hope it will be 40% off sale items because I have my eye on the collarless bib leather jacket that I would rather buy at 40% instead of 30%.
ReplyDeleteI went Friday to return online orders. The sale section had the '40% off sale items' sign, aside from the store wide 25/30% promo. I don't usually dig through the sale items, because it overwhelms me.
I had to laugh inside because the SF store had a huge 25/30% promo sign in orange, right as you walk in the store. So desperate. I've never seen J.Crew do that before...so sad.
I'm hoping for 40% off too, have some sale items in my wishlist and 40% off would def let me pull the trigger;-))
DeleteVancouver Canada had the large signage out side store as well....no secret sales anymore..
