20% Off Women's Apparel {in stores & online!}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including newinnewyork & GigiOfCa (in this post), Rose (in this post), as well as Irina, who shared the following email/ event from J.Crew with us.

J.Crew is offering customers 20% off regular priced Women's apparel with promo code LOOK20. The promotion also applies to in-store purchases (which are automatically discounted at the register). This offer expires May 21, 2012. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on purchases of full-priced women's apparel in J.Crew stores and at jcrew.com from May 16, 2013, 12:01am ET through May 21, 2013, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in the 769 Madison Avenue store, J.Crew Factory stores, at jcrewfactory.com or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. Offer not valid on CFDA styles, bridal gowns and third-party branded merchandise. Discount on retail purchases applied at register. To redeem online, enter code LOOK20 in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
It's great to see another offer that is applicable to both online and in store purchases!

I am not sure if stores are still running an additional 30% off their Sale merchandise today. I know they still were as of yesterday, but unclear if J.Crew pulled it for this newest promotion.

Will you be taking advantage of this offer? Is your local store offering an additional 30% off Spring Sale? If so, please share! :)

  1. I'm not sure if I'll take advantage of the LOOK20 promo since I just ordered the Barbados dress on Tuesday. I am tempted by the boy shirt in sea horse though. If free shipping/no minimum were part of the promo, then I would probably give it a try.

Btw, there are a lot of new markdowns in the sale section this morning...Liberty popover in Phoebe floral, Camp popover in bar stripe, and Collection neon tweed blazer to name a few. I'm working on the complete list, and will have it posted on my blog in just a little bit.

  2. I finally found the linen baseball sweater in white/natural on popback in my size, so I took advantage of the promo code. Unfortunately shipping was still $8.95 which was kind of a bummer...

    1. Glad to hear I'm not the only one waiting! There were posts a week or two ago with JCAs saying they'd received theirs already. I was starting to worry! The online chat confirmed I was getting one, but comenity (manages the JC card) tracks and issues the rewards card too. So, you have to contact them directly if you want more specifics on when it'll be mailed. 1-888-428-8810. Haven't tried that yet, so not sure how what would come from that phone call.

    2. Your rewards card amount/number should already been in the system such that it can be looked up. I've used my rewards card in the store many times before I actually received the card in the mail.

    3. So I called the credit card company and they told me that I did not have enough points last quarter to receive a rewards card. What?!? I spend a lot of money on my card. The CSR double checked my account and said, "That's strange. You did have a lot of points and they (J. Crew) just cleared them off and never issued you a rewards card. You should have received the rewards card back in April." They are going to contact J. Crew and get a rewards card issued to me (fingers crossed). My rewards card that was supposed to be issued to me was for a substantial amount.
I tell you this in case anyone else thinks they should have received a rewards card by now and have not. You may want to call card services at 888-428-8810.

  5. This promo is lame. It only applies to full priced ladies clothing. You would think a scarf would be considered apparel wouldn't you? . No discount on shoes, jewelry or accessories and what about men and kids! This promo and the last one (dresses) are favoring women and leaving everyone else out!

  6. Thanks for the link love, Alexis!

    Nothing for me this promo.

  7. Just finished the list of new markdowns (there are a lot of them), and there are a few new promo-priced items, as well. You can see them all in this post on my blog. Have a great day everyone! :)

  8. I wasn't sure where to put this heads-up (thought a discount promo was the best bet!), but Madewell's Studio Sweater in Tropical Love is on sale in the store (Tyson's Corner) for $49.99 as of last night and going for $69.50 online. HTH someone! :)

I bought one myself - it'll be perfect for those days when I want a little more coverage than a tank top or tee but still feel breezy enough (runs oversized but I think that's the style). May be dressed up for the office too with a blazer and trousers or a pencil skirt. :)

  9. Can anyone confirm if the 30% off sale is still going on in stores today?

  10. Stopped into Destiny today, and there was more stuff in the sale section than at regular price, so, meh. Tried on (for the second time) and resisted the monarch sweaters which were $69.99. They are very thick merino and therefore seem impractical. They are very pretty and high quality though. The tresco floral toothpicks are still $119.99 in store, wtf? 30% off sale still going on. I didn't buy a thing.

    1. JCrewJD, ITA about the monarch sweaters. They are unique and lovely and well-made and on sale ... and if it were February or March, I would love a thick merino sweater in a pretty spring motif. June and July, not so much.

    2. I did get the monarch and thought the quality was great, although I am little sorry to hear that it's already on sale... For those of us who live in northern climates the timing worked just. I actually wanted to wear it on Saturday but it was only about 40 degrees here; we finally had our first 70 degree day yesterday.

  11. Did anyone receive this in the mail? I got a big ol' envelope from J.Crew, and it said "Lovely to Meet You" on the front. Inside was a giant lookbook of all their favorite pieces for the summer, along with unique code for 20% off next purchase in J.Crew stores or jcrew.com. I believe it's a card member's perk.

    1. I got it too...+ free shipping. Not a card member but in Canada. Made it seem like it was Canada specific.

  12. 30% off sale still at Mayfair in Milwaukee. I did take advantage of the 20% off and picked up a color blocked (cream and navy) v neck, sleeveless ponte dress. Couldn't resist since its LONG enough for work!! Finally! Plus, it was the last one in my size :-)

    1. Gigi, thanks for the updated guide! I'm sure that's a lot of work! Did you happen to notice if the Camp Popover in Bar Stripe was marked down in the store or just online? I know they will usually match the price in store but sometimes it's nice not to have to ask ;)

    2. Hi Lauren, yes the popover in bar stripe is also on sale in-store. And addtl 30% off is still going on! :)

    3. Thanks Gigi! I was actually just in the store on Tuesday returning this top because I wasn't sure I wanted to keep it right now and for the price I paid, and then it gets marked down like 2 days later...lol

    4. Lauren - I haven't purchased it, but I like it. I like the lighter blue & stripes are my thing. I reviewed it in this post. I think it looks really good w/pink.

    5. What do you think made me buy it in the first place? ;) I love stripes too and really like how you paired it with pink! I think I will have to size up in this one. My regular size in popovers seemed tighter in the arms and bust. I am having my store hold the next size up.

  14. Thanks for posting about this!! I was able to nab a silk butterfly blouse in popback today and decided to spring for the punk floral top while they had it in my size! Total treat yoself Friday for me. :)

  15. Hello everyone. If you see the cafe capri in anastasia's flowers in size 00, can you please put it on hold for me at your store and I will call and do a charge-send? Thanks in advance if anyone finds it. Stalked it forever but did not want to risk final sale!
