Extra 30% Off J.Crew's Spring Sale {oh yeah!}

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the following promotion from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew is offering customers to take an additional 30% off all sale items (no min) with promo code SUNSHINE. Yey! This code expires Sunday, May 5, 2013. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on purchases of sale items made at jcrew.com from May 4, 2013, 12:01am ET through May 5, 2013, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in J.Crew or J.Crew Factory stores, at jcrewfactory.com or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. To redeem, enter code SUNSHINE in the promo box when checking out. Limit one promo code per order. Terms of offer are subject to change. 
I love that this offer is available so quickly after the last 25% off anything promo. But I am hoping the fine print is wrong, and that it is available both online and in-store purchases. Especially since stores have lower price points for the same items on sale online.

Take for example the {adorably-chic} Circle-Print Chambray Popover (Item 30313; $88.00) which is currently on sale for $69.99 online, and $49.99 in stores. That is a $20 difference before any other additional discount is applied. That is a pretty substantial discrepancy in price.

Lastly, J.Crew had a nice update to their Spring Sale section online (click here) earlier this morning. Some merchandise increase for everyone (900+ for Women and 260+ for Men).

    Now that final sale is gone, I will definitely take advantage of this promo if the item I'm stalking pops back tomorrow...fingers crossed! :)

    I got the pintuck bandeau tank and the sheer stripe tunic as a popback.They waived the shipping for me because i returned another swimsuit.

    The code sunshine doesn't work for me. Is it a weird glitch? I am in Canada and have never had a problem with using codes.

      Thanks for sharing Megan! I didn't see anything I am dying to have and it definitely seems there will be few items I can wear in real life!

      I also saw this the other day...pre-order starts May 8 and everything goes live on the site May 22 (if there is anything left). There is also a necklace I have seen from Jennifer Meyer.

    I just made an unplanned purchased when I saw some items I have been eyeing are on promo. Strangely, I got free shipping without having reached $175. The fine print for the SUNSHINE promo does not mention free shipping, so maybe today is my lucky day?

    I was told, quite vigorously, that the 30% off was final sale, but there were no signs that said as such. Was the sale associate wrong?
