DeleteBanana Republic - The 40% off one-item (physical) coupons begin today. They sent an email to print & use a coupon in-store. I went to their FB fan page to see if they have it, but I'm not finding it. The bar code is 4WEDNESDAY but they usually want the printed page or to scan the code from your phone. Not good online.

ReplyDeleteI was surprisingly pleased with Banana Republic's current collection on my visit today. I went and used the 40% coupon that Gigi mentions. BR has moved back toward using natural fabrics (buh-bye polyester, hello silk!) which makes me willing to shop there again.
ReplyDeleteThey had some lovely tops and skirts, and with the discounts BR is constantly giving out like candy, it's more affordable than J Crew, and now they're starting to get back toward matching the quality too.
BR also re-stocked all the Mad Men dresses on the website this morning.
What makes me return to BR time and again is that I can try on petite items in store. I wish J Crew would open a store with petites, even if just at one boutique in NYC.
Just got an email from ebates. There is a wedding week promo: double cash back for certain stores! JC is 6%. DSW 8%. Nordstrom 5%. Macy's 6%...

It's not advertised on the website, but the code BRSAFARI gets you an extra 30% off (supposed to be on FP items, but works on the promo priced too). Not sure when the code expires. I got a bunch of recent arrivals for about 50% off all in. :)

ReplyDeleteMajor, major fail on my J Crew stretch perfect shirt. The collar was sad and lifeless all day. It kept folding under my suit blazer and looked awful. The collar looked dorky untucked and laying on top of the blazer lapels. I'm thinking a non-iron buttondown would be a good solution. Crisp looking is good, but stiff is bad. Any recs?
