Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Very likely, to check out the new arrivals.

  2. No; went today. It was the biggest sale section my store has had since Christmas...but strangely, not much was tempting. Maybe I am finally getting 'shopped out.' :)

  3. The stores are getting the new collection on Monday so I will probably go then. I was told that the only store in NYC that is going to get the Altuzarra collection is the flagship store on Fifth Avenue.
Sale notes (I stopped yesterday to finally get the soverreign paisley capri that are $79.99 in store): twisted stitch henley (the Katie Holmes one) is down to $29.99, mini in mela print is $79. The linen dot popover is on sale in stores too (same price than online). I spotted a xxs at the Collection store.

    1. ObsessedWShopping, I saw 2-3 pairs of them at the J Crew Park Meadows, Colorado last night. Did not look at sizes. They were in the sale section. HTH

    2. I also saw them in the Toronto, Canada store (Yorkdale Mall) if that helps. Or, try the WWFIFY service -- I just used them this morning and always find them so helpful. Good luck!

They had the anchor shorts in the Westlake,Ohio (Crocker Park) store on Thursday when I was there. May be worth a call.

    1. Thanks so much! Do you know if they honor the 30% off FS?

      Delete
    2. 30% off is in stores too. If the shorts are not on sale in store, ask them to honor the online price and to apply the 30% off.

  6. I've updated the in-store price notes & added a couple irl pics. See this post.

  7. I will be visiting the Toronto store tonight. They have new markdowns and 30% off sale is in effect. Too bad the new arrivals won't be in store until Monday.

    2. I was there Wednesday night and they were honoring the 30% off sale items. There were lots of T-shirts, quite a few mini skirts and a few pencil skirts left (not sure of sizes). Got myself the Spindrift sweatshirt for about $33. :)

    3. I picked up a vintage tee for $18, monotone beaded necklace in sweet cantaloupe for $20 and a Jackie cardigan for $41. There were lots of belts, sweaters and some cotton pencil skirts in green and blue. Nothing too exciting to be had. I did however see a non sale collection dress made of black lace that I can't find on the website.

  9. The factory eyelash scarf comes in LOTS of pretty colors. Then I read they are polyester. No thanks. Yuck. I like cotton around my neck thank you very much and if it is poly I won't be paying J.Crew prices--even factory ones.

  12. I'll be going to my nearest b&m either tomorrow or Saturday. Does anyone know if the 30% promo will be on through the whole weekend? And are SAs allowing the edu discount to be combined?

    ReplyDelete

    1. I heard it was through the weekend.

    2. SA's allowed the educator 15% for me on Tuesday but didn't last night (same store!). Policy changes day to day, apparently. It can't hurt to ask.

  13. Went yesterday and picked up a couple of Cafe Trousers in cotton. They had a 2nd (3rd?) markdown to 29.99 in navy/black/stone so about $20 after 30% off. Good deal for those.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I went yesterday to the b&m at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. I was really frustrated because the SA, who I usually really like, refused to give me the teacher discount on top of the 30% off sale. She said that corporate had told them not to combine the discounts. She only finally caved when I told her that I read on JCA that other stores had been doing it. Thank goodness for JCA!

After my battle with the SA, I was able to get the Olympia suede wedge sandals in apricot beige for $36. They're both gorgeous and comfortable. Highly recommend. And well worth the fight.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. In her defense, she's right...if discounts are not supposed to be combined, it puts the SA in a very, very awkward position. Just because other SAs don't know the rules, doesn't mean she shouldn't follow them. Just playing devil's advocate.

      Delete
    2. Lauren PhD - I don't blame you. For 3 years now I've been reading conflicting experiences about the educator/student discount being applied. The last update was that it *was* being applied to final sale items again. You would think that J Crew could get the policy straight once and for all. It's along the lines of the free shipping promo from yesterday. It was there in black & white, yet they wouldn't honor it. Get it together.

      Delete
    3. I am with you gigiofca, regarding the 15 % discount...everybody needs to be on the same page. If they do not honor it on sale , then so be it consistently ! I do not like to be given "look" for asking about the discount !

  15. Hi there JCAs!

I am in love with the Big Shot Dress (item 70542). Unfortunately, I am nowhere near a JC store and they won't price match the in-store price if I order it online. I was just wondering if there might be a very kind JCA out there who would be willing to buy it for me and we could use Paypal to settle things up.

My email is kellydoner@yahoo.com if you'd like to help me out! Pretty Please:)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Stella, stores will do a charge send (meaning they'll take your credit card info over the phone and ship the item to you). They should honor the 30% off promo. That'd be a lot easier than having a JCA buy the dress for you. The store at Easton in Columbus, Ohio had several of the big shot dress when I was there yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't think I will go since I just went on Tuesday, but I posted more reviews of the new arrivals (including seersucker pencil skirt) and some upcoming items HERE.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Stella- They also had a few big shot dresses at the Towson, MD store.

Towson's sale section was pretty good. I picked up the jade pencil skirt, a pair of matchstick jeans in starlight and a pair of waverly chinos.

I also noticed signs that men's clothes were coming back to the Towson store. Maybe with the new store opening in Harbor East they decided they wouldn't be a women's collection store.

    1. Factory's still carrying Leopard print pencils, if you're not opposed to the crewlet. They're online and they had a number of them in the B&M in Deer Park last weekend.

  20. Park Meadows, Colorado store had a big sale section, I bought a few items but if anyone is looking for the Linen Cable Knit Boatneck sweater (716170) in the original colors they had a ton in all colors/sizes. ($59.99), Big Apple Print Tunic $99.99, and lots of the dresses on sale.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Janie, I can't remember the sizes, but if you're talking about the abstract leopard skirt, there were several at Easton in Columbus, Ohio.

  22. I was kind of hoping they would tack on the free shipping today like they did a few times at the end of a promo in Dec/Jan... I am wanting the natural cafe capris that I would need in tall, but there isn't anything I am willing to bite on just to get to the shipping min.

Made a few returns the other day and was expecting to find an exchange, but there was nothing I even considered! This so rarely happens. Was nice just to get my money back. Checking out the store next to my office today though, maybe a better selection. Will post if I find anything interesting!

Stella - North Park Mall in Dallas had a full row of the dot dress! I just glanced at it so did not see specific sizing but I know there were quite a few. In fact - they had a lot of the sale dresses if anyone is looking for one of the other marked-down styles.

  24. Ema, thanks for the info on when the new arrivals are coming and the Altazurra collection. Saves me a trip this weekend. Also going to order the Altazurra gingham dress online to try rather than treck down to the 5th ave store.

I am really hoping that FS ends when the promo ends tonight. Last year it ended April 19, so the time has come. There are numerous items that aren't moving because people probably don't want to chance FS.

  28. @AppGal - I'm unable to reply to your message. If it's the beige/brown dot one, then yes. They had a few at the Mission Viejo, CA store last night. Tell them they were on the table next to the linen cable sweaters also on sale. I hope that helps.

  29. Anyone seen the canvas Tillary at their store? I now decided that I need it for my vacation.

  30. Ok, so I have been lurking here for awhile, but never posted a comment (I love this site, BTW).

I went to my B&M in downtown SF and found some AMAZING deals! I got 2 pairs of cafe capri's that are full price online, still, the green pair and the foulard (sp?) one. I got 3 striped T shirts, a polka dot skirt (don't know the name), matchstick jeans, Bennett Chinos (still full price online), and a striped jacket for ~$300! Basically all those things were $50, except the Ts which were $14. It was HARD not to buy everything, but alas my closet is already bursting and it's hard to justify more than 4 pairs of cafe capris!

    1. I love the SF at Westfield JCrew too! Can I ask you what color of the Bennett Chino went on sale? I want the flame color one but it wasn't on sale this past Tues.

  34. Ran in the to B&M to do the reorder return tango on capris & ended up saving $107 when I got them online.Actually walked out without buying anything which is good for the wallet after the last 2 promos. My online scores for the last 2 weeks: Leopard Tippi sweater, Sovereign paisley cafe capri, Abstract leopard cafe capri, Wool cafe capri in bright dahlia,Cotton v-neck sweater in pink neon stripe, Spindrift sweatshirt in honey stripe, Cashmere rugby stripe turtleneck in Poppy/gray and the crystal link bracelets in both the black and mint combos. A total of $975 worth for $310.
Overall I love everything except I maybe should have ordered the neon sweater larger for more drape and the Cashmere rugby smaller for less drape but both will be fine.

Tried on a few sale things but didn't notice any new online arrivals. Sale section is still pretty full so I may wait for future markdowns. PS said store was opening 1 hour early Monday AM for new arrivals.

  35. Unable to reply to Appgal either. My store didn't have your size in tan with white polkadot linen sweater either. If there was a S I would have bought it since it is also on my list:)
Just a warning if you decide to call a store to order. The one size large they had in my store was a hot mess! Full of picks and snags so make sure the SP looks it over good for you since it is FS.

    3. Leah, I saw that in the store yesterday and loved it. I would have considered it if I didn't have the plain double chain necklace from last year.
However, there was also a single link pave necklace in the case too. I don't remember the price though.

  38. I stopped in at one of my local stores (Washington Square Mall in Portland, Oregon) today and the sales area was restocked. Yeah! I bought the red/blue foulard print capris for $59.49 (marked down with extra 30% off) the boatneck popover in Orange for $27.99, the crystal striped link bracelet in the turq/bronze color for $20.99, the blue/white striped enamel bangle for $20.99. Also couldn't resist full price the Ainsley Rattan clutch in navy/natural stripe and the double row mini pave link crystal necklace....which I had on pre-sale and there it was in my store. And Cheryl, my favorite SA, told me it had been in the store for awhile! I never saw it before....so happy to have seen it in person. She told me huge rollout next Wednesday....but I don't see the white/blue big paisley pencil skirt in the catalog. And she hadn't seen it yet. I want that skirt! Anyway, happy to find a nice selection in the sales area!

  39. I went today (The Grove in Shrewsbury NJ) and the sale section was pretty good. I just picked up 2 of the Amie maxidresses (red stripe and the cornflower blue one), the fanfare tank, and the rugby stripe dress. I spent just over $100 for everything so I was pretty happy! I had returned the foulard capris a week or 2 ago (paid full price) and was hoping to rebuy on sale but the store didn't have my size).

  40. Hi Leah.....I just found (total kismit!) the double row pave crystal necklace which I had on pre-sale in my local store. It's gorgeous! I bought the only one they had in the store. The crystal links are like the pave crystal link bracelet, but a little different in color. The necklace is antique gold. It still looks nice with the pave bracelet though. The necklace is a nice weighty piece, just the right length for under a collar or over the top of a dress or shirt. I buy LOTS of costume jewelry and I'm used to that kind of price, so I didn't really think anything of it. It's a classic which can be dressed up and down. I think it's one of those necklaces you could wear for years and year.

  48. I'm in Austin on business so went to the B&M last night to try on Valentinas for sizing. The lovely ajc was able to give me sizing advice based on the patent Valentinas so I can order the collection snakeskin Valentinas in blue. I absolutely must have those gorgeous blue shoes! :^)

The patent animal-print are very pretty shoes but I was concerned about the synthetic sole. Still, they were $41.99 with the extra 30% off so I bought them in both brown and gray and will have my cobbler add a rubber sole and rubber lifts to make them more comfortable for walking. I love the style of these shoes, I can see why ajc and others have bought multiples. Can't wait to get the blue snakeskin and will put up a review once they arrive.
