First Look! Over 75 Photos of Madewell's Woodsy-Inspired Fall 2012 PreviewI am loving what I am seeing so far!!! Madewell has really caught my eye in the last year. Even though they still offer those casual pieces they are known for, they are stepping up with pieces that look both rich and luxurious. (Hello flats!) And what about that polka-dot blazer- it looks super cute.

Madewell turned to the woods for its Fall 2012 collection, showing a barrage of its casual chic wares injected with a whimsical forest touch aptly described as "one part Wes Anderson-style quirk, one part urban woodland, and one part proper English professor." That said, cute farm-animal-printed sweaters were paired with silky shorts, striped pencil skirts with colorblocked sweaters, and anoraks with printed pants. We especially loved the camel knit cocoon sweater paired with the neon yellow silk skirt. For accessories, Madewell supplied its usually bevy of covetable boots and colorful flats, but we also noticed a few new styles, like printed calf-hair loafers and ankle boots added to the mix. Leather satchels dipped in warm autumnal hues also provided a cozy-meets-classic feel to the line. ...
Madewell is also offering free shipping on all orders ($100+) with promo code GOSPRING.
What are your thoughts on the upcoming Fall Collection at Madewell? Are there any items you are interested in getting? If so, please share. :)
Oh boy! Why did I look? Madewell has some really beautiful things for the fall! I like their scarves a lot. I also saw a necklace and some charms I need to add to my collection, and a couple of skirts.
ReplyDeleteI also have a post on some new arrivals here.
Alot to love: the boots & orange flower print top in your photo's, to name a few. There are some pretty blue tops, a lovely multi-striped scarf (grey/blue/white/orange), a british style jacket similiar to the Barbour jackets, and a brown & black purse. I'm very happy to see all the lovely colors, esp. the blues, & I love the way they style everything. Makes me think twice about blowing bucks on too many summer items. Save for fall!
ReplyDeleteMadewell has the best scarves. I love the cardi w/the heart elbows, too. I Pinterested a few things last nite.
ReplyDeleteTheir scarves are so amazing! Love.
DeleteI'm loving Madewell more and more lately. There are some great pieces in this preview!
ReplyDeleteNew markdowns @ jcrew.com ... The Madewell fall collection looks great!
ReplyDeleteThis new collection looks great!!! I am really loving Madewell!!!
ReplyDeleteI NEED that lamb sweater!
ReplyDeleteNot my cup of tea. Too casual and vintage-y looking for me. I like my clothes to look crisp and new. :P
ReplyDeleteThe lamb and heart sweaters are too twee for me but the quality of sweaters at Madewell has been excellent, much better than J.Crew recently.
ReplyDeleteHi. Very small update of new items online now at JCrew site. Nothing I have to have but looking forward to all the great JCA reviews!
ReplyDeleteJust looked at new arrivals at JC.com (thanks, Shekster!) Interested in the raj paisley maxi dress. They are misrepresenting skirt length again on the raj paisley pencil skirt. Looks just below knee on model (would need to be 24"-25" for that) and the description says 22". Boo.
ReplyDeleteI saw lots of things I liked in there. Their quality is excellent, much better than JC lately. I'm really looking forward to having a store closer to me so I can avoid final sale and get the better sale prices. Though, honestly, I haven't minded paying higher prices there because the quality is consistent with the price. Unlike other places... :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cass,I thought the Raj dress looked cute too, but I don't usually bare my shoulders too much. I hope someone can try it in store for us. :)
ReplyDeletePolka Dot Cafe Capris already on back order in my size until July. Sheesh that was fast.
ReplyDeletelove this collection. any idea when it will hit stores?
