Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING & SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. No J.Crew this weekend for me. Have two birthdays to attend back to back. Happy shopping everyone!

  2. my goodness! I just got the big pink "be right back" message. The website is down again.

  3. {yay} website is back with a new sale, 20% off tees

  4. Additional percent off is now 20% versus the 30% off the day before. Funny huh?
Also - You ladies have GOT to get a look at the Fall Lookbook. It is so lush and gorgeous. It is still a departure from previous (preppy)J Crew, but it looks like sweaters and beautiful detailed seperates might be making a comeback. Definitely an improvement over last winter and spring/summer.

  5. I will be making the rounds, certainly, but only for super low-priced sale items I've already expressed an interest in, maybe some in-store popbacks that are returns from the not-final FS. :-)

I'd like to try on that red & blue patchwork madras shirt and see how the sizing runs, and whether it's as soft in person as the online description seemed to indicate. Maybe look at some sale shorts. Been needing a belt lately but all I can find on sale at JC is super skinny belts, and those won't work for what I need.

    That's about it, though.

  6. Was at the JCrew Outlet in Edinburgh, IN on Wednesday and found LOTS of goodies. Store was full loaded and great deals to be had for both hubby and me. 40% off all belts (got 3) flower belt for $7, camisole that I wanted from last season but never got for $23. Plus some flip flops. Hubby got nice tees for $10 and cargos for $16. It is nice that the outlets use your educator's discount as well.

Then stopped at the Asheville, NC store. Not too impressed with the location but I did find one item in the store. I navy cardigan sweater that was $128 down to $23.99. Beautiful with wool/pima cotton blend with sequins along the placket (and I think neckline) They had one XS and S left in blue and in the cream/beige/slightly pink??? color there was M and L left if anyone knows the sweater name or wants one heck of a deal!

  7. My local store in Sacramento has 20% off the sales price but it is FINAL SALE... so 10% LESS off and still FINAL SALE!

But, they had the Sailot Shirt $34 ($28) shirt I wanted as well as the Cascade Ruffle Dress for 49.99 ($40) so I did end up purchasing something even though I'm still recovering from the FINAL SALE debacle from Wednesday.

On an unrelated note, the local GAP and GAP Kids stores are having an extra 40% off the sales prices on a ton of spring/summer and NO final sale!

  8. I don't think I'll be going to J. Crew this weekend. Hoping to restrain myself until the new stuff comes out. I got the cutest sweater/sweatshirt from the J. Crew outlet two weeks ago, though. It's similar to the stripe sequin boatneck tee except the material is similar to the jaspe sweatshirt, it has a crewneck, and has blue stripes with sequins on the stripes. the sequins go all around the back of the shirt (unlike the boatneck tee that's currently online). I'll try to post pics to my blog later today :)

  9. I was there yesterday, Kierland Commons location in Phoenix. There were plenty of impressionist skirts and a few neapolitan skirts. Lots of tees, you name it, they had it in the sale section. Lots of Marsaille camis.

I traded the fleurette pencil skirt I preordered for a larger size. The bloggers who have featured it are right, it is running 1 to 2 sizes small. I also picked up the island paisley shirt. Love this. It looks black and white in the pics, but it's dark grey and blush. Very pretty.

  10. I'll be popping in over lunch to make a few returns, look through the Fall lookbook (can't wait!), and see if I find anything in the sale section.

  11. I was at Columbus Circle store last night. They had the flash flower bib necklace that is still $250 online for 99.99 minus 20%. Also tons of tees marked down to 9.99 minus 20%.

jessie b., how can we see the fall lookbook? Is it available online anywhere?

  12. I am desperately seeking the Linen silk-pocket cardigan in dusty orchid in an XS. It is still full price online but $29.99 less 20% off in stores. Found one yesterday at my B&M but it was snagged and torn, so if any of my fellow JCAs see this item and are able to grab it, I will gladly pay you for your troubles! Could do the smoke color too if dusty orchid is gone :)

  13. Dara,

I remember seeing that item at my store. You can call them at
610 264 3612 to check if they still have it. If they do you can put it on hold and I will gladly pick it up for you :)

  14. Michelle, thanks so much! Going to call and ask at lunchtime :)

  15. Genny, I love that cardi! I think it was called something really inventive, like the sequin-placket cardi or something. The onyl annoying thing is that both of mine stretched out. Hopefully you won't find that.

Probably going in this weekend sometime to take another look at sale. I'm really liking the piped-and-tiwsted cardi and might pick up the buff color also.

  17. I'm looking for the Hockney tote in store. I hear it is half off in stores + the 20% off. Anyone see it in their store? And can I call a store location, buy it from them, and have them ship to me?
    TIA :-D

Just email me the store phone number.

  19. Nope, I was unimpressed on my last B&M visit--I don't really need anything else for summer but I definitely don't need any embellished tees. I'm going to save my $$ for autumn.

  20. Karen,

Thanks. I was wondering if the actual lookbook would show the items better than the fall preview pics. The "dissected" looks were pretty funny..."19th Century hobo sweatpants," lol.

  21. Mommydearest,

I will be careful with stretching:) I did size down in the sweater so that should be good. Lucky I did that!

It is called the Peyton sweater on my receipt. I looked at other items/sweaters but only went with the super deal on this one.

Was very happy with my find and such a great color for me--navy blue.

I rarely get to store so was lucky to be out and have a hubby who stopped for me on our long driving trip.

He goes right by the Arden Clearance Center and wont' take me there:(

So with my birthday and anniversary coming up he let me have fun at the IN outlet and NC store.

  22. Karen: I saw the Hockney tote in my local B&M (South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, CA) for $149.99 yesterday with an additional 20% off because it's final sale. I picked up a Hockney satchel, which was marked the same as the tote, but actually rang up for $79.99 before the 20% off. There were many of the totes and satchels left in the weathered wood color as of around 4pm yesterday. Good luck!!

  23. I went to make returns, and came away with:

Draped glass necklace (item 27998) in pale buff, $63.99 (with 20% off, FS)

Cappy Eyelet Cami (item 23535) in white, $31.99 (with 20% off, FS) - price came up original $69.50, they honored the online sale price

Also picked up the Anchor ball necklace (item 28117) in gold, this is a really interesting, pretty necklace! $65.00

  24. I have some returns, but I don't plan to buy anything.

  25. Real Working Mom of OC,
Did they have the satchel in weathered wood? I prefer that shape, but purple and rose were the only offerings online. I'd like the satchel in weathered wood - if that combo exists. Did you see that at the Costa Mesa store? If so, I'm going to call this afternooon. Thanks!

  26. Hi I was just in J. Crew in Rochester hill Mi. All their merchandise ending in .99 was another 20% off which makes it final sale. Got this super cute t-shirt for $12.71--Morning glory art tee--was $42.50 select colors $14.99 item 2648 (same price on website), also had found cute pair of matchstick jeans--Marked $19.99 (originally $108)--but they didn't have my size, so they called the catalog for me, and found the right size AND got the price adjusted for me(Catalog--Vintage matchstick jean in vintage dark distress wash was $118.00 select colors $49.99 item 19368) for $19.99 +shipping. WOW!

  27. Heather: Yes, at around 4 pm yesterday, the South Coast Plaza store had at least three or four Hockney Satchels left in weathered wood. However, another JCA called last night and they told her they were out. I can't imagine that they would have sold that fast, but who knows. Also, I don't know if the $79.99 price that mine rang for was a mistake or not. Good luck!!

  28. I agree--super-excited about the fall lookbook. Once you step back and see that the styling is about creating a fantasy, so you can break the looks down into loads of very desirable pieces. I'm most excited about the fact that I'm seeing a lot of unique, special pieces that I don't already have in my closet (i.e., not another ruffled tank top or cardigan). Staples have their place, but when I'm not spending much money I like to get something special when I do splurge.

  29. Just visited J Crew at the Americana in Glendale, CA. They had a HUGE sale section (two "areas" of the store plus more items scattered throughout). They had an additional 20% off but all sales items were final sale.

Saw lots of items on sale including the Coralie cami in mink ($49.99 I believe), Eyelet Bow blouse in both colors, Flower Mosaic Embroidered Tunic was $49.99 in all colors, Suckered Gingham Shirt was $39.99 in all colors. As mentioned, TONS of t-shirts, lots of pants and shorts too.

  30. Hmm, might have to call CA and get a suckered gingham shirt! Been wanting the lavender one. Thanks!

  32. Off topic, but some might be interested that Banana Republic stores are offering an additional 25% off sale items. I was there today and picked up a great pair of tan heels for $35... they are still $80 on the website! It's worth a look if you're in the mall :)

  33. Tres Tippy,
After reading your post about the sequin top, I made a trip to our crewlet. I found it, too! Super cute. It was $59.50 with 40% off, bringing it to about $35. The cut/shape is identical to the jaspe, but the fabric is a heavy slub knit. The sequins are stitched down really well, too. Thanks for the info; this will see a lot of wear! :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Awesome, glad it worked out for you, Heather! I didn't get the boatneck tee or the jaspe sequin top, and this was the perfect combination of both :) I keep meaning to post pictures but this 90 degree weather is not making me want to even try it on lol.

  35. I went to the Victor, NY store earlier this week and the SA who checked me out showed me the look book. It was still full of models with strange vapid looks on their faces and absolutely no even marginally vibrant colors, but there were some nice separates that I'd actually wear.

I might go to the outlet this weekend for the heck of it...

  37. At the Raleigh NC store, they had a few pair of the Zipper Denim Minnie Pant (item 27080) for $19.99 with 20% off. I think they had only a few small sizes left. I also noticed two Caprice jackets, size 6 and 8, for $29.99 with 20% off. They also had the Fiesta Floral Tunic (item 27013) for $39.99 with 20% off...they had all sizes except for XS in black plum. I thought this was beautiful IRL, so I got the natural one...it does run big, though, but it's gorgeous!

  38. Wildcat ombre skirts $59.99 + 20% final sale, cantebury bells mini skirt on sale as well not sure about price.

  39. Went to both the Pioneer Place and Washington Square stores in Portland, the Square store seemed to have a larger variety of sale merch (i.e. not quite so many crappy tees but lots of skirts/shorts/shirts) including a Jericho Hobo is Seashore Beige for $149.99 (before 20% discount). Also a Sunshine Peonies shirt in a size 14 for $49.99 before discount if anyone is looking, must have been a return.
Ended up with the Lily shorts in the watercolor print and the faded black denim Minnies (way cuter on than I thought they would be) at $16 each, the sequin stripe henley in quarry (they honored the online price of $54.40) and a pair of Abby flats in platinum gold for $39.99. Doing the math, I paid about 25% of full price for my haul!

  40. Went to the B&M (Boca Raton) and picked up a pair of vintage destroyed matchstick jeans for $19.99 before the 20% discount. They had a lot of them.

Visited the crewlet today (at Sawgrass Mills) and all sale items were an extra 40% off. They had a few colors of Jackies for $25 before the discount, also some crisp chino shorts for $25. I also picked up the outlet version of the navy gingham shirt for $35.

  41. My bf got a fantastic deal on some pants today. The J.Crew at Mayfair seemed to have a lot more interesting sale items for men than usual, which was nice. There were lots of Canterbury Bells minis on sale for 39.99 (I think) before the additional 20% off, too.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Does anyone know whether the jericho tote (blue) is on sale at the B&M? My local B&M does not carry handbags. Thank you!

  43. Those links are getting me excited for fall! Does anyone have an idea when fall merchandise starts to become available? (Crazy to ask before July, I know, but I love fall clothes so much more than summer clothes!)
