Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. New feature on website features actress Florence Pugh in styles for spring. Lots of pastels and soft colors. I usually am not a huge pastel fan but I like the pale green suit on her with the new rectangle raffia wrapped earrings. Bh668. They earrings are reasonably priced and might be a fun update to the wardrobe. Her short hair is perfect for a bold earring.

    1. I loved the look of that blue handbag with the foldover closure, but I've learned that any bag I like at J. Crew will be too small (or too big). Maybe I will be happily surprised.

    2. I got the Oslo bucket bag when it was in super sale even though I didn’t need it, and started using it this week. It is a great size but light and not bulky. I wear it as a crossover bag. I was able to fit my wallet, make up bag, extra masks, keys, three phones (2 were for work), and three reusable totes (I’m in NYC where a plastic bag ban is in effect). It was not stuffed to the gills at all. The leather is soft and supple too.

    3. Same. I got the pink which I’ve been using almost daily and just switched to the red for Valentines. It’s the perfect size for everyday for me. Today I stuffed in my iPad which just barely fit but that’s not something I need to do regularly. I do think it can be difficult to access stuff from the bottom but I think the shape looks attractive. Just posted pics of it on IG. I like to switch out the strap.

    4. @Shopping Celle - TBH looking through the photos, if I didn't know it was JCrew, I wouldn't be able to tell the clothes apart from H&M. It all screams very fast fashion to me because it's skews young and trendy. The green looks great on her but I don't know anyone IRL and older (older than 20s) who can pull off that color AND top to bottom unless they work in a creative industry.

    5. @eeps I totally agree with your assessment. I’m sure not many of us here could wear a blazer with shorts to work either. I was just trying find something I liked in the new arrivals and point out the fun earrings. Here’s hoping that there are more things to like as the season moves on!

    6. EEPS, I have a daughter the same exact age as Florence who works in advertising. Guess what? They are COMPLETELY remote. This is a top tier company too and although they still have office space there is no requirement to live anywhere near an office.
Would my daughter wear a short suit? Maybe. But not one of those colors would be something she would choose.

    7. I also thought the Florence edit seemed very fast-fashion and editorial. The Work Re-Mix was more appealing to me, with more wearable options and better quality. I appreciated the effort, but where my work wardrobe ends up shaking out is still TBD. I do know that I’m sick of athleisure and want more polished pieces going forward. Got enough yoga pants.

  2. I'm already getting impatient for three next batch of new arrivals. Sigh.

    1. It’s disappointing. It’s not like I need to buy anything so I should be glad but at the same time it concerns me that there really is nothing I like.
I should take this as a little hiatus to delve deeper and think of any wardrobe gaps I might want/need to fill, like going through sandals, shorts etc and be ready to pounce when I see things that might work for me.

    2. I have purchased way less this season at Jcrew than usual. I have enough basics and am looking for those special pieces but I am not finding them. Like most of us, I am overdue for a closet clean out but the if you haven’t worn it in a year rule doesn’t apply right now. The fun clothes haven’t been worn as I am mostly staying home.

    3. Definitely not applying that rule. Looking more at fit, style, comfort, quality…good time to see if items need repair or if alterations might make me like something better.

  3. I received the pacific studded clogs in pink suede. Unfortunately, the shape of the insole does not match my foot and is painful to stand on. So they will go back.

I placed an order from Boden for a swim suit, espadrilles, and a knit dress called Amelie. Not sure about fit because I haven’t ordered from them in years.

    1. I know exactly what you’re talking about re the insole of the clogs. The plain ones I got bother me too. Since I only wear them as slippers I have been wearing them sporadically, but I wouldn’t be happy wearing them for any length of time. Maybe they’ll break in and mold to the foot with wear.

    2. Funny, I've been wearing them daily as I heal from a plantar plate injury because they give me perfect support!

    3. I’m glad they work for you! They ought to fit someone out there :)

    4. Yes, I ordered the black suede clogs this AM when last week's price was still in effect + 25% Warmup + 15% SMP3F8JYJ + 9% Retailmenot. Plus they are not final sale. So I have a good house shoe for when it's warm.

  4. Last night, my husband and I watched the PBS documentary “Riveted: The History of Jeans” that Ruffles recommended a few days ago. We both enjoyed it and learned some new things.

    1. Glad you enjoyed it, Vanessa! It gave me a new appreciation for all the denim items in my closet!

  5. I just looked at new arrivals and found some thing that is on my wish list to try. The Collection tie-sleeve button-front top in Ratti® Pacific paisley Item BG257 $168 & matching Collection pull-on skirt in Ratti® Pacific paisley Item BG542 $198 both look really nice. It’s good that these are separates instead of a dress to maximize outfit pairing. I love the whole look including the Made-in-Italy acetate interlocking oval earrings Item BG689 which are on a promotion for $39.50 down from $58.00. This would be a quite pricey outfit but it speaks to me. Anyone else out there that sees something that catches your eye?

  7. I like the liberty print baseball hat(BG138), the Copenhagen shoulder bag (BF214)and the burnt caramel or sunburst print(BG640). I would consider the Cashmere marled sweater in stripe(BG649), but it's too short. That's about it.

    1. ST, that Caramel Sunburst print is cute, but unfortunately I can’t wear that color. I’m not finding any of the other prints too exciting including the Liberty ones. I think the Sunburst would be nice in a different colorway.

    2. I like the sunburst print but I only see it on the sunhat. Wish it were on something else.

  8. Is there a promo for this rollout?

    1. "WARMUP" is supposed to give me 25% off of full price styles, but every single thing in my bag is excluded from promo. Some promo. I'm not purchasing on principle right now, that's ridiculous. I have a lot in my bag, at least one thing should be eligible.
