ReplyDeleteRibbed cotton-cashmere relaxed turtleneck sweater
Item BB427
At the 40/20 percent off.
I have a million black turtleneck sweaters (or 6) but my skin is so sensitive anything with wool sometimes irritates my neck. I figured mostly cotton was worth a shot.
Considering Everlane’s cotton sweaters are $90 I decided spending $60 after discounts on this is certainly fair.
Although I hate the pricing games, I do love the prices I've been able to get things at. Like the recent Cotton-cashmere patch-pocket mockneck sweater (Item BA320)... Originally $118 but I got it for just a hair under $34.
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen new items like your sweater reduced early in the season and then prices increase. It certainly is a fair price. Maybe in april it will be less so enjoy it now!
Delete@MissJR, happy you got it for a good price. Enjoy it. I happened to reorder the same and figure so I will pull the neck down a little. It’s such a nice sweater and for the price you can’t be that.
DeletePicked up Some Essential Fitted Pocket Tees AW126 for $5.12 in all colors they had available. They’re a nice looking tee although I would prefer no pocket. Runs a little small sized up one. Finally snagged pop backs in the BA588 in remaining colors. This item sells so quickly one would think it was some beautiful Collection item. Someone put a review up and she is spot in with sizing. Just hope the pink isn’t drab.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you like that shirt jacket!
DeleteI also got a pocket tee but only in gray. I stocked up on black and white earlier this summer. I also size up in my tee shirts. I don’t like them tight.
@Suz, Hope so too. If not, you know where they’ll go. More gifting. Have the tee shirts held up well? I noticed the gray has poly in it. Wonder why? No problem for me. If they fit and look well that’s all that matters and the price is perfect. I may order some more pending your reply. Thanks.
DeleteThe white vintage cotton tee developed a hole in the first wear. I bought several of those. I think the essential cotton held up better. I used them for layering mostly so it is what it is. I’ve noticed Heather gray often is mixed with poly. Must be something to do with the color but who knows. The peace tee is gray and pretty sure it’s all cotton.
DeleteSuz you are right, the poly fibers take less dye than the cotton and give the mixed shade 'heather' effect.
DeleteLynn, I much prefer the fit of the essential pocket t over the vintage cotton tees I got over the summer. The gray is lightweight and not as heathered as I thought. I ordered a medium and I will order white in large to allow for shrinkage. Maybe black too. I got an essential tee inn black over the summer but size small which is fine but I prefer them looser.
DeleteGood news perhaps Hi again - wanted to let you know that we confirmed with our team brighter colored coats are on the way for the fall/winter season and should launch next month, so be sure to keep an eye on the site for new arrivals.
ReplyDeleteI got my first sale order which included
ReplyDeleteRelaxed-fit garment-dyed lightweight cotton poplin shirt
Item AY728
In iced orchid and a Heather gray essential pocket t.
The shirt is a winner for me. The color is soft and pretty but the cut is like I’m wearing a well loved “boyfriend’s” button down. I know this oversized cut is not for everyone but for casual button downs I prefer it. I liked it so much and the price can’t be beat I decided to try the kiwi. Not usually a color I find flattering against my face but with the right jewelry or a bandana I can make it work.
Tomorrow my pull on wool pants should arrive so I will report back.
Orchid? I bet it's great on you! Also works with black...
DeleteCrazy right? It’s a very soft orchid, more like a cross between pale lavender and mauve. Not too purply. We are headed to FL at some point soon and even with my new favorite jeans (which are lightweight) and black or gold strappy sandals it will look cute.
DeleteReceived the blooming floral pleated skirt and the gathered tank midi dress in cherry blossoms from the sale last weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe blooming floral skirt is hefty, good quality - nice pockets, it's pull on but the elastic is only in the back. It's long on me - somewhere between a midi and maxi length but I'm only 5'1. It runs big, in addition to having an elastic waist. I went down a size per reviews, probably could go down 2 sizes. The print is a little prairie but I don't hate it. Good value for the price I paid.
The cherry blossoms dress reminds me of the empire waist style of old school JC such as the library print dress, except A LOT LONGER. It's an awkward length between a midi and maxi for me as well. Also running big - I went 1 size down. The bust is lined, and it has pockets which are nice quality touches. The bust area isn't huge - I'm an AA and I'm not even sure how B/C cups have enough room. I wish the straps were adjustable - I can see them falling off, though I only wore it around my house for half hour to try on. The print is very pretty - I don't have anything this light green and it isn't prairie or mumsy. Since the cotton is also hefty, I can actually see this being a 3-season item with cardigans or sweaters on top.
Terrified at the very thought of the Return of the Empire Waist.
ReplyDelete@wellfedfred, latest Halloween costume? In other news, there will be new colors for coats which I posted above this thread. Hopefully not empire waisted
